  1. Mr. Williams, I don't know about CE842.... I know that the x-ray shows more than one fragment in the wrist x-ray and apparently more than one in the thigh. (You can find the x-rays in the link provided by me). Humes also says "they" referring to multiple fragments. My first point is, if a military pathologsist (working with the actual body and the forensic evidence) has trouble accepting the evidence and "putting the puzzle together", no wonder many others do too. My second point is, that with the above and e.g. Humes' statement, I suggest that he too considered that a military style FMJ (non fragmenting round) would not leave the type of fragments behind. Further evidence suggestive of the trouble with this case is the massive destruction of the brain and the large defect to the skull. From what I have read and learned, the head wound is extremely unlikely with an FMJ round, even with an open core. Nevertheless, thanks for all your insight. Antti Sir, Yes sir I would be glad to. The 6.5mm Carcano round is a copper jacketed bullet. The reason these are jacketed at all, is because at velocities over 1100fps the lead begins to heat and deform. This can cause serious trajectory issues. However. When these projectiles are in flight and hit a target, it is not uncommon to lose some lead from the tail of the projectile. It is common given two facts. One the lead is very soft and mailable, so if the jacket deforms at all it squeezes the soft lead out of the tail. Second, I have seen examples of projectiles that are non jacketed on the bottom, and ones that are jacketed on the bottom. If this projectile had a copper jacket on the bottom as well it would still not necessarily preclude the escape of lead out of the bottom. It seems at one time someone told me that they were not jacketed on the bottom, but I have been out of the game for a couple years and do not recall. I hope this has helped and if there is anything I can do I remain At your service, Mike Mr. Hynonen, I thought CE842 was a single 1/2 grain fragment? I also found the article that tells us the base of CE399 does have an open core. Mike
  2. Cmdr. Humes to the Commission: "I can't conceive of where they came from this missile." http://www.maryferrell.org/wiki/index.php/Connally_Wounding Sir, Yes sir I would be glad to. 3. Pat, No, I'm not concluding what the HSCA concluded. I am hypothesizing. What if the wound described as the bullet wound under the Adam's apple was in fact the other of a through and through wound and the lower of the two back wounds discussed in this thread (no2) being the other. If this were to be the case, what would we need to conclude about the path and likely origin of that bullet? Considering the necessary angle, if it were coming from the 6th floor of the TSBD, the one marked as 2 would likely not be an entrance would it? Additionally that bullet would be on a right to left trajectory, would it not? If it is a through and through wound, the other side being the under the adam's apple and the other being no. 2. At any rate, many have concluded this no2 was no bullet hole, so whatever..... Antti, you're scaring me. Have you been reading single-assassin theorist propaganda, LOL? The HSCA pathology panel concluded that wound #1 was a cm below the vertical level of the throat wound. This would put hole #2 quite a bit below this wound, at the level of the sternum. Please don't tell me you're with the lone-nutters, and really think hole #1 is above the throat wound, and in line with a shot coming from the TSBD... My brain's still hurting from Mike's siding with Baden on the break-up of the bullet...
  4. Thought: The back wound marked here as no. 2 would line up nicely with the throat wound just below the Adam's apple on the other side. Not only is it vertically in line with it, but also matches the size fairly nicely.... ...too bad "it's not a bullet hole". Hmmm.....
  5. Thank you for your reply. Good to see that we are on the same page on FMJ rounds and fragmenting. I'll skip over the "magic bullet" the very slightly deformed one found for now. However, considering your reply on FMJ's and fragmenting, do you not find it rather bizarre, that there were bullet fragments in both Kennedy's brain as well as Connally's wrist? As far as I can discern, these were two seprate bullets, and therefore two unusual FMJ rounds pertaining to this case. I just can't get over how an FMJ round (let alone two) would leave all that led and metal behind, having only struck human tissue? Just raises a big red flag in my mind. Any further education on this would be appreciated. Antti Hey Mike, I'm glad someone is finding all this as interesting as I do. And thanks for being a vet. I have a few questions for you, with your background. Having reviewed the case now, can you tell me in your opinion: 1) Did the Sixth floor sniper use the Manlicher Carcano or another rifle? 2) If the MC was used, did the shooter use the scope or not? 3) If the MC was used, did the shooter use the strap for support and accuracy? 4) As seen in the Zapruder film, does the head shot originate from the front or the rear? Thank you, BK Mr. Kelly, No thanks needed Sir. To answer a your questions: 1) I believe the 6th floor shooter used the MC rifle. The wounds would seem to be consistent with the this type of rifle, but more importantly the impact angles seem to indicate strongly that the shots were fired from that window. 2) To be quite frank here, I do not know. I have an MC with a cantilever mount, and in my opinion it could be used either way. However with the longest shot being a mere 100 yards, a scope would not be needed at all. 3) Again there really is no way to know. I would think as the shots were not at any great range that "saddling" or "snapping in" would not be needed. 4) The head shot without fail comes from the rear. For one, projectiles that perforate do not transfer the kind of energy it requires to "slam" a human body back like we see in the famous "back and to the left". A more honest representation is the sight forward head movement we initially see. It is relatively simple to calculate, but generally the impact of a transiting projectile is no more than .1%-.3% of the energy the projectile has at time of impact. Another indication of a rear shot is that upon entry the wound will emit back spatter. This is generally large drops of blood traveling at moderate speed, Upon exit things change. We then see forward spatter, which is a very dense cloud of almost mist like droplets in very high speed. To offer an example take a straw and fill 2 inches of it with ketchup. Then simply blow out the ketchup. That is back spatter. Next fill a spray bottle with water and red food color, set it to mist rather than stream, and spray it a few times. The dense cloud of mist hangs in the air and is compromised of small droplets. This is forward spatter. I think this is exactly what we see in the Z film. I hope that I have at least given my opinion satisfactorily to your questions. If not, I am at your service. Best to you Sir, Mike Mr.Hynonen, Pleasure to see you again Sir. FMJ rounds by design do not fragment in tissue. This was mandated by the Geneva Convention. It was considered inhumane in a time of war. (Go figure). The 6.5mm MC round is a well known (and well liked in Europe), for its exceptional stability. They have a sectional density and ballistic coefficient that makes them deep penetrating, and very stable. Having said that I am of course surprised that this projectile would fragment inside the head. This is contrary to all that we know about the Carcano round. While it is not surprising that the projectile shed fragments from its open end, one would seriously have to consider that the projectile hit something very hard upon exit, and this is what caused it to shatter. Now in the case of the CE399 bullet, I have other issued, namely its lack of deformity. I would certainly not have expected it to fragment on its way through both men (alleged), however, I would certainly expect to see some deformity of the projectile. The one true anomaly I see is the lack of deformity of the CE399 projectile. I firmly believe that the projectile exiting the head, struck the window chrome and shattered. I hope this helped and answered your questions to your satisfaction. Best to you Sir, Mike
  6. I believe so. Good job Evan. So it has been successfully removed?
  7. Hi, You seem to be experienced with rifles, bullets and shooting. Thanks for your replies. What is your opinion of a fragmenting FMJ round? From what I understand, and have looked into this, it seems like FMJ rounds do not fragment upon impact. Over the internet I took part in a discussion on rifles, Carcanos more particularly. Most who replied on the forum denied there was anything fishy about Oswald and the Kennedy assassination, nor the assumed weapon&ballsitics as reported by the WC. However, a few members replied to me via private messages, they didn't seem to want to get into the discussion publicly. Those who replied privately had actually hunted with Carcano's, some had used FMJ rounds for hunting. Those who replied to me indicated that in their expericence FMJ rounds always went right through the deer. They had never experienced a fragmenting FMJ round, nor any wounds that had only partially penetrated the deer. Here's one set of opinions found on the net: http://karws.gso.uri.edu/jfk/the_critics/g...ead_wounds.html Any thoughts regarding this are appreciated. Thanks. 8. I haven't been part of these photo debates too often, however, today I just stopped to look at Zap 256 and the Altgens photo and noticed that Kennedy's left index finger seems to be pointing towards his neck, roughly at the location of his throat wound. I haven't noticed this detail before. Has this pointing index finger and the possible meaning of it been discussed before? The folks at Duncan's forum thought the area in red was the President's right hand. If so, you're not seeing much of his face, just his forehead. Can someone post a copy of Z255 next to the Altgen's closeup above? I believe it is the fingers of his left hand too, but in the Z film, I don't think the hands were touching yet at Z255 .... though from Altgen's angle, I reckon it could look like they are. Bests, Barb :-) Barb, 255 is a little blurred - will you accept 256? I'm writing from memory and don't want to speak for others so you can check the thread for yourself at: http://www.jfkassassinationforum.com/index...opic,964.0.html
  9. Bernice, perhaps you have reached your personal quota. Try deleting some old attachments. If I can recall this can be done in "My controls" towards the top right of the screen. Antti
  10. But he's wrong in thinking an M/C bullet incapable of creating such damage should it enter tangentially, and explode. Why would an M/C bullet (FMJ) explode? O'Connor is right. The large defect on Kennedy's skull is inconsistent with a bullet's entering on the back of his skull and exploding from the top of his skull. But he's wrong in thinking an M/C bullet incapable of creating such damage should it enter tangentially, and explode. This is discussed in detail in chapters 16 and 16b of my webpage. Chapter 16
  11. Do we know where each one of these ID cards was located? Did Oswald carry one on his person when he was arrested? Which version? Where did the other one appear from?
  12. Absolutely. One of the first things that I studied and seemed "off" to me, were the testimonies of these three men. I immediately felt that there was something that was left out, and that there were many inconsistencies among the statements by these gentlemen. Together they just didn't jive. Also the same went for Jack Dougherty, I just couldn't put my finger on it. It took someone of the caliber of Duke Lane to figure some of these inconsistencies out. I read about half of the writing in the link provided by Greg Parker. I think that there's something about the Dr. Pepper bottle and the chicken lunch that was had up there on the 5th and the confusion regarding the floor where the TSBD rifle was found (5th or 6th floor)? Why would anyone just leave their chicken bones, paper bag and Dr. Pepper bottle there if they were done eating? How about putting it in the trash can? Unless they got interrupted.....
  13. David, Each member has a quota regarding uploaded documents and pictures. The error message may actually indicate that you have exceeded your maximum. The quick remedy is to delete older attachments. Antti Really - what is that dark vertical marking in the large and the cropped Dillard limo interior photo? It coincidentally crosses the driver's side of the windshield... For some reason, I can't re-up it here. Fender flag in a protective sleeve..... I see, thanks. What made me wonder if it was a stain is that, at the uppermost (near the "point"), it seems to take on the horizontals and verticals of the fence line in the background... +++ Note to mods: I can't upload pictures, or even re-load pictures already uploaded in thread posts above mine. The reply controls always say the picture exceeds the size limit. when the actual size listed is much, much lower than the limit, and also lower than what the error message says it is. Is there a setting I should change?
  14. I used this Epstein webite a few years ago to ask him a question related to Mr. DeMohrenschildt. I never got a reply. E.J. Epstein was one of the last persons to talk to DeM before he "killed himself", in fact he met with him just an hour or so prior. Through his website : www.edwardjayepstein.com click on "Ask Ed (anything)
  15. The man in question seems to be walking South to North, if this footage is from Elm, or from Dealey Plaza. Had it been the man assumed to be Lee Oswald, coming down the knoll, he'd be he'd be crossing Elm North to South to get into the station wagon. Additionally this man seems to be wearing a long trench coat type of coat. I am not aware that Lee Oswald ever possessed or wore any piece of garment like this, of course I am not an expert with regards to what clothes he possessed.

  17. Guy Banister died in June of 1964, before Garrison had a chance to interrogate him. Of a heart attack, of course. When working for the FBI, Guy Banister was associated with Robert Maheu, who was an FBI and CIA liaison for the mob. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Maheu Also check out Wiki on Banister: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_Banister

  19. I exchanged a few words with the maker of this video, and he revealed himself to be quite the fraud by deleting all the negative comments on his video. He insists he can hit seven shots on a moving target in seven seconds with his Carcano, and wants to bet me on it. I've tried to explain to him that I don't care what he can do with his Carcano, but that he is implying anyone can hit seven shots in seven seconds with an hour's practice, on a rifle in the condition of OSWALD'S Carcano. I have tried to explain that the FBI, Army, CBS News, Dr. Lattimer, etc. all performed tests on the rifle, or on rifles in similar condition, and found it to fire no faster than once every 2 seconds when firing on a moving target. But he's too ignorant to care. "You implying I can't hit the shots? Wanna man-up and make a bet on it?" What a joke... He's an obvious fraud trying to make a name for himself by proving that rat bastard commie killed Kennedy. Probably a birther... The 2 seconds per shot sounds like it might be possible, if you don't need to take time to aim. The person claiming to shoot 7 shots in under 7 seconds has to be wrong, it makes no sense.
  20. Hi John, Haven't seen the video. A couple of things do catch my attention: 7/8 Craig says he saw the 7.65 Mauser on the Barrel of the weapon, not the receiver. Here's R. Craig's interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybvfnZ3vDYw...=PL&index=2 Some pictures of Mauser's (with and without scope): http://media.photobucket.com/image/mauser%...mauser004-1.jpg http://media.photobucket.com/image/7.65%20...user1940762.jpg http://www.fototime.com/85E6782257AAC80/standard.jpg I'm not sure what type of Mauser would have the manuf. stamp etc. not visible if a scope were mounted. Perhaps there is one like that too. 4/4 To clarify, was the weapon discussed/fired by the person here exactly the same type and model as the TSBD rifle? Makes..... 4/4 To clarify, was the weapon discussed/fired by the person here exactly the same type and model as the TSBD rifle?" .......ever so important, imo. Doesn't leave much time to aim.... I find this 7 shots in under 7 seconds hard to believe, but I guess it's gotta be true because it's on tv (youtube)......???? I guess it is comparable to firing 3 bullets (all hits) into a moving target of a similar size some 70-100 yards away in a desceding angle... I don't know. Some other key points to note/consider/discuss in this area: According to many witnesses the two first shots were fired almost on top of each other, whereas the 3rd shot was fired at an intervall of perhaps 6 seconds. Can one fire two shots from a MC 91/24 in rapid succession (apparently less than 1 second apart), considering the success in hits as attributed to Lee Oswald in this case? I'm sure there are many accurate and deadly Carcano's out there that are of the same era as the one attributed to Lee Oswald. Like many others, I just have doubts the shooting occurred in the way the WC claimed it did.
  21. Do we have anything that would indicate when, how and from whom Lazenby obtained this information?
  22. Pat, I think this is (potentially) an important discovery. However, many readers will not be up to date with the background of these re-enactments and film speed issues and will likely omit your important post due to this. Perhaps you can elaborate and break down the events (re-enactments) and the "conclusions" from these SS and FBI reports? A timeline of events from 11/22 to 12/20 or something could also be helpful. New thread? Great work! Antti
  23. I touched base with Bill Miller. According to his message he is enjoying the summer in the mountains of British Columbia.
  24. Yesterday, I finally received copies of the remaining existing military records of Richard R. Carr. In my opinion, only a few interesting facts remain to be found in the documents, the rest were destroyed in the 1973 fire. The most interesting item about him in these records is that he was disonorably discharged, due to having gone AWOL in May of 1945. The way I understood this, is that this was the second time he went AWOL (Absent without leave). The second time he went missing was for a period of no less than 3 months! RR Carr was sentenced to three years of hard labor. He served part of his penalty in France and part of it in the USA. According to the record RR Carr served in the First Army during his military career. Here is some information on the first Army (about half way down you can see that this Army took part in D-Day and many other key battles of WW II): http://www.first.army.mil/history.htm What I do find odd, is that Carr would make up his story about his being part of the 5th Ranger battalion and Anzio, because, as the records indicate, Carr was indeed part of an active US Army unit (First Army), that saw plenty of combat. Why did he just not say he served in WW2 in the US First Army and took part in D-Day, the Battle of the Bulge and was part of the first unit to find and cross the Bridge at Remagen, and took part in containing the last significant German military entity in the North-Western part of Europe? This way, at least, if the defence in New Orleans wanted to challenge his military background as an expert witness, the records would have indicated that he was part of the US First Army from 1942-1945, which fought in many major European campaigns.
