  1. Will January 6 be buried like the JFK assassination?

    Thom Hartmann September 15, 2023

    https://www.rawstory.com/raw-investigates/jfk-assination/

“Remember, it was the military that apparently refused to go along with Trump’s plan for them to seize voting machines and help him overturn the election and appoint himself dictator-for-life.

Is Tuberville holding those seats open for a second Trump term so Trump can appoint leaders to our military who will go along with the next seditious attempt?”

"It’s been 60 years since JFK was murdered, and we still don’t know the whole story. We can’t afford to wait 60 years to find out who was in on the attempt to overthrow our government on January 6th.

    Americans deserve some answers."

and were they looking for a notebook? And why were they there before Oswald was apprehended?

    Jim

Examination of DPD tapes is proving fruitful.

There is a radio entry for DPD Platoon 2 that contradicts police evidence to the Warren Commission.

Why were Dallas police at 1026 N. Beckley at 1:31pm shortly after Tippit was shot?

They are looking for a notebook that they had seen there the day before…..

    DPD radio calls:-

Dispatch. Any detective on the air that picked up a notebook from 1026 N . Beckley . . . . (no answer)

Dispatch.  Any detective unit that picked up a notebook from 1026 N . Beckley, call 531 .

    581  “581”

    Disp  “581”

581  “That notebook in question is that an officer's field notebook or was that one of the school type notebook?”

Disp  “It's a news reporter's notebook and was black .”

581  “I did not see it yesterday . The only other thing that I saw was one of these school type notebooks with a cloth-pasteboard type cover. It was on the desk in the hall going into the kitchen.”

Disp  “10-4 . I don't believe that was it, 1:31 pm” [time stamp]

This is in the April 1964 WC705 transcript, tucked away with calls about traffic jams. No one seems to have written about it.

    Jim,

These radio transmissions date from the next day (November 23rd)

You can see these in CE705 page 437 here:

    https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.html?docId=1134#relPageId=463\

If you scroll up a couple of pages to page 435, you can see the clock roll over from midnight of the 22nd to the next day, the 23rd.

According to my notes, Unit 581 belonged to Officer's, J. P. David (and) L. Johnson. They don't appear in Batchelor's Exhibit# 5002, so I can't tell you if they were in the Patrol Division or the Traffic Division.

I do not know how the Police First learned that Oswald lived on Beckley. I do know that because the Dallas Police had to wait out in the car for 30-40 minutes until officers from Irving showed up at the Irving address, the DPD actually began searching the Beckley address before they knocked on the front door at Irving and found Ruth Paine's notebook with Oswald's phone number in it that they criss-crossed.

Lately, I have been plagued by the question, not only how did they know he lived on Beckley, but why did they know.

If a fragment was removed from Connolly's wrist, how could CE 399 be pristine?

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but if Landis found a billet in the back seat of the limo, I'm reminded of the doctors at the autopsy unsuccessfully trying to probe the path of the bullet in Kennedy's back and having to call Dallas.

  5. Opinion: New Texas law deprives families of religious liberty rights

Opinion by Amanda Tyler Mon September 11, 2023

    https://www.cnn.com/2023/09/11/opinions/texas-chaplains-school-law-religious-liberty-tyler/index.html

"A new Texas law allows public schools to replace counselors with chaplains and to use funds earmarked for school safety and mental health to pay them. The law went into effect this month.

Each of Texas’ more than 1,000 school districts now has six months to vote on whether or not to create chaplain programs. There are no requirements to be called a “chaplain” outside of passing a background check. People allowed to serve as chaplains in this program are not barred from proselytizing and do not have to have any chaplaincy training or expertise in working with children or people from different faith traditions.

“Chaplains represent God in government and are already extremely successful in helping our first responders, military, providing support in hospitals, and counseling in our prison systems,” Republican state Sen. Mayes Middleton from Galveston wrote about his motivation in authoring the legislation. “I believe that chaplains will greatly benefit our school students, teachers, and other school district staff. Our schools are not God-free zones.” “

I do not want the Government telling me what God is.

Or how he should be worshiped.

    That’s what the Pilgrims did.

That’s what the Spanish Inquisition did

    That’s what the Taliban does.

  6. This is funny.

The boss wanted to destroy evidence.

Alarmed' Trump security chief intervened to keep crucial Mar-a-Lago tapes from being destroyed

by Tom Boggioni September 9, 2023

    https://www.rawstory.com/trump-mar-a-lago-tapes/

"As the Times is reporting, "According to the indictment, which does not name Mr. Taveras but refers to him as 'Trump Employee 4,' Mr. De Oliveira led him through a basement tunnel to a small room known as an 'audio closet,' where Mr. De Oliveira delivered a message from Mr. Trump: 'the boss' wanted the footage deleted. Mr. Taveras rebuffed the request, prosecutors said in the indictment, but Mr. De Oliveira raised it again."

Noting that Taveras once again denied the request, the report states that Taveras then reportedly confided to fellow employee Renzo Nivar about what had happened and days later alerted "a superior in Trump Tower."

According to the Times, "One executive in New York, Matthew Calamari Jr., the Trump Organization’s corporate director of security, apparently became alarmed, according to people with knowledge of the matter. He alerted the company’s legal department, prompting a senior lawyer at the company to deliver a stern warning not to delete anything."

I thought I'd read of a DPD officer on patrol 2-3-4 days (a week or two?) before the assassination cruising through Dealy Plaza one evening noticing men on the grassy knoll?  Leaning over the picket fence? Acting like they were holding/pointing a rifle(s)?

Suspicious enough he merged onto main, turned around and came back to investigate, but they were gone when he got there.

I guess no one else remembers anything like this?

    Ron,

I was going to bring that up, but others did before I could, so I didn't mention it.

I thought I'd seen a Report in the old DPD Archives, but I don't know that ir made it over when the Archives were transferred to the Portal to Texas History at the University of North Texas Libraries.

  8. Ron DeSantis birthday card advertisement goes up in flames
By Mark Alesia, September 8, 2023,
    https://www.rawstory.com/raw-investigates/ron-desantis-birthday-card-ad/

"The flagging presidential campaign of Ron DeSantis thought it was a good idea to pay for an ad on X, formerly known as Twitter, encouraging people to wish the Florida governor a happy birthday next Thursday.

The ad comes in the form of a tweet from Casey DeSantis, Ron DeSantis’ wife, and says, “Wish Ron DeSantis Happy Birthday!”

Those who click on the DeSantis ad, which does not appear publicly on Casey DeSantis’ X feed, receive a form to fill in their name, email and phone number — along with a countdown clock showing (down to the second!) how long it is until DeSantis’ birthday.

If you provide a phone number and click the “Sign His Card” button, the fine print says you consent to his robocalls and texts.
Whoever goes that far received a thank-you message for signing the card — and a pitch for a campaign donation, with suggested contributions ranging from $20.24 to $6,600."

My guess is New Orleans in the summer of 63. I believe that the training camp was near Lake Ponchartrain and when the FBI broke up that camp, it moved to Mexico, out of the reach of the Bureau.

Hence, after trying unsuccessfully to infiltrate the training camp via Carlos Bringuier, Oswald decided to take a trip to Mexico, where he was poorly impersonated at the Cuban Consulate and Russian Embassy.

I believe that the assassination was being planned under the cover of a second invasion of Cuba. I believe this because there's NO WAY the Kennedys would have been planning to invade Cuba or allow others to do so in late '63. The diplomatic fallout from an invasion after Kennedy promised the Russians during the Missile Crisis he would not do so, not only would destroy the Test Ban Treaty, but once the Russians saw that Kennedy had lied to them, you'd never them to the bargaining table ever again.

Once given, I don't believe the Kennedys would have gone back on their word and supported an invasion.

I also find it interesting that once the President was dead, the second invasion of Cuba was dead as well.

The CIA would have no problem determining escape routes thanks to maps provided by the U.S. government, which designed and built Dealey Plaza in 1940 as a WPA project. My guess is that those maps would be available through the US Army Corps of Engineers.

    That's all just a guess.

    Gil,

That's not a bad guess. I can envision that when the FBI started cracking down on the exiles in July, training would have moved offshore, away from prying eyes.

You wrote, "I believe that the assassination was being planned under the cover of a second invasion of Cuba."

I'm reminded of Operation Northwoods. There's not too much difference between the terrorist act of blowing up a commercial airliner and blaming it on Cuba, and assassinating the American President and blaming it on Cuba.

The State of Georgia’s Constitution and laws impose a duty upon me to protect, serve, and seek justice on their behalf. | will fulfill that duty in this case, notwithstanding your attempt to interfere.”

  11. - Peter Navarro -

"This is the first time in the history of our republic that a senior White House adviser, an alter ego of the president, has ever been charged with the alleged crime," said Navarro. "It's the first time that this has ever happened. Now, at the same time, what's so remarkable about this case is that even as the Department of Justice was bringing this case, they had a policy for more than 50 years that says people like me, senior White House advisers, alter egos of the president, cannot be compelled, cannot be compelled to testify before Congress."

Therein lies the crux of the matter. Navarro wasn't the alter ego of anybody.

He was Wormtongue, whispering in the ear of King Theoden.

    I like your logic.

To any suggestion that they should have used automatic rifles, I'd only say that they tried that against DeGaulle at Petit-Clamart In August, 1962. What, something like 160 bullets fired and nobody got killed.  In photograrhy terms, they call that "spray and pray".

That's why I don't think any Petit-Clamart people were involved in JFK.

I was going to ask a secondary question and ask if the actual shooters were given advanced notice of who the precise target was.

They might not have known until the last minute, if even then.

  15. Trump is liable in the second E. Jean Carroll defamation case, judge rules; January trial will determine damages

By Kara Scannell, CNN September 6, 2023

  16. LEGAL STRATEGY - EVERYBODY SKATES

Trump’s co-defendants are already starting to turn against him
There’s a nascent courtroom strategy by some people close to Donald Trump: Heap blame on the former president.

By JOSH GERSTEIN and KYLE CHENEY 09/05/2023
https://www.politico.com/news/2023/09/05/trump-cases-defendants-flipping-00113910he finger-pointing among Donald Trump’s inner circle has begun.

And as his four criminal cases march toward trials, some of his aides, allies and co-defendants are pointing at the former president.

In court documents and hearings, lawyers for people in Trump’s orbit — both high-level advisers and lesser known associates — are starting to reveal glimmers of a tried-and-true strategy in cases with many defendants: Portray yourself as a hapless pawn while piling blame on the apparent kingpin.

It’s a strategy that could sharpen as the Georgia case moves closer to a jury. The case includes numerous defendants with much smaller alleged roles than those of Trump or his top aides. If a jury primarily blames Trump for the events that played out in the aftermath of the 2020 election, the lower-profile co-defendants may seem less culpable by comparison.

“Strategically speaking, if you are one of the lesser important players, you would definitely want to be in the same trial with Donald Trump. All of the focus is going to be on him,” said Scott Weinberg, a Florida-based attorney who represented one of the Oath Keepers in a high-profile trial stemming from the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. “They don’t want the little guys, they want Trump. You’re always compared to who you’re next to.”

The three GOP activists all posed as pro-Trump presidential electors, signing documents claiming they were Georgia’s legitimate electors even though Biden won the state. In legal filings seeking to transfer their prosecutions into federal court, they all indicated that they took that step at Trump’s “direction.”

Another criminal defense attorney who closely watches the Trump proceedings posited another motive for those seeking to pin Trump with responsibility for the actions they took: Trump is likely to make a sweeping claim of executive immunity against all the charges.

“Eventually, Trump is going to assert broad presidential immunity and everyone else is going to ride under his authority,” said the attorney, William Shipley.

John Lauro, Trump’s attorney in the federal election case, signaled recently that he intends to  file just such a sweeping immunity claim to attempt to derail the charges."

  18. Trump's mugshot T-shirt cash grab could backfire and cost him millions: legal experts

by Tom Boggioni September 2, 2023,

    https://www.rawstory.com/trump-mugshot-2664806962/

“According to SiriusXM radio host Dean Obeidallah, there is a legitimate legal case to be made that Donald Trump is violating U.S. copyright laws by selling merchandise emblazoned with his Fulton County mugshot -- and that could lead to major financial difficulties for him.

Noting that the former president has boasted that he raised a quick $7 million after his indictment in part by selling $34 mug shot t-shirts and “Never Surrender” coffee mugs for $25, he asserted the Fulton County Sheriff's department could come after the former president.

"Various legal experts have noted, Trump’s sale of that mug shot, taken by the Fulton County sheriff, may violate U.S. copyright laws. This could mean that theoretically, the millions he is making off that photo may rightfully belong to the Fulton County sheriff — an entity that just happens to be in desperate need of funds to address the horrific conditions in the Fulton County Jail," he wrote.

Bolstering his case he added, "Betsy Rosenblatt, a professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, recently explained to Spectrum News 1 Ohio that the copyright owner of Trump’s mug shot is likely the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office."”

We decided that we would not be going to Coffee City, TX.

Coffee City, TX had 250 residents.

It also has 50 cops. That's one cop for every 5 residents.

Last year, those 50 cops wrote 5,100 citations, generating over $1,000,000 for the City budget.

Over half the 50 cops have been suspended, fired, or terminated from previous law enforcement positions for use of excessive force, public drunkenness, and lying on the witness stand, etc.
