  1. Investors plead guilty to insider trading in Trump Media deal

by Brad Reed April 3, 2024

    https://www.rawstory.com/trump-media-2667675059/

"Michael and Gerald Shvartsman admitted in court that they received confidential, inside information about an upcoming merger between DWAC and Trump Media and used that information to make profitable, but illegal, open-market trades,"

"According to the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, the two men "bought millions of dollars of DWAC securities on the open market before the news of the Trump Media business combination was public" and even "tipped others about the upcoming merger, inducing further trades in DWAC securities on the basis of the MNPI they had obtained subject to their non-disclosure agreement and through their associate’s board seat."

"Trump Media first went public last week and sparked a wave of speculative investment that saw the firm's market cap rise to over $8 billion before its shares crashed on Monday when it released a financial report showing that the company lost $58 million over the last fiscal year on revenues of just over $4 million."

    I'm shocked, I tell you.

    Just shocked.

  2. - Donald Trump -

"Because Joe Biden has brought the carnage, chaos and killing from all over the world and dumped it straight into our backyards."

He vowed to stop the "plunder, rape, slaughter and destruction of our American suburbs, cities and towns," comments he reiterated in Wisconsin.

Excuse me for a moment, while I go look out the window.

Huh. Didn't see much carnage and slaughter and bloodbath going on outside. Must be happening down the street.

  3. Donald Trump has paid the $175 million to secure his assets from being seized in the fraud case while he appeals the verdict.

The money was fronted by Knight Specialty Insurance Co., which is owned by Don Hankey, the "so-called king of sub-prime car loans", i.e. a used car salesman.

Don Hankey is believed to be the largest shareholder of Axos Bank.

Axos Bank holds the mortgage on Trump Tower and Trump National Doral.

$100 million for Trump Tower and $125 million for Doral.

    My question.

How did Trump get away with concealing the $58 million Truth Social annual loss (from 2022-23) before the company went public last week?

Aren't there SEC regulations to prevent these kind of stock scams?

    W.,

It primarily has to do with the merger with this Digital Acquisitions Group.

Tharre's a good explanation in this AP story:

Get a load of that Board of Directors.

    https://apnews.com/article/trump-media-truth-social-spac-vote-841820869418c37ad7eed04f2af42854
Shareholders of Digital World Acquisition Corp., a publicly traded shell company, approved a deal to merge with the Trump’s media business in a Friday vote.
'Many of Digital World’s investors are small-time investors who are either fans of Trump or trying to cash in on the mania, instead of big institutional and professional investors. Those shareholders helped the stock more than double this year in anticipation of the merger going through. But on Friday, the shares lost almost 14%."

"Ahead of Friday’s approval, Digital World’s regulatory filings listed many of the risks its investors face, as well as those of the Truth Social owner once Trump Media also goes public."
"When a publicly traded shell company agrees to buy a private company, the target company takes its place on a stock exchange once the combination is approved by shareholders."

"DWA’s shareholders also voted Friday to approve a slate of seven people, including the former president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., to hold seats on Trump Media’s board. Among the others are former Republican Rep. Devin Nunes, who would also be the company’s CEO; Robert Lighthizer, who served as Trump’s U.S. trade representative; Linda McMahon, who ran the Small Business Administration under Trump; and, Kashyap “Kash” Patel, a White House national security aide during the Trump administration."

A plunge into the public market means Trump’s social media business will soon have to disclose more details.
Private companies are accountable to their owners, while public ones are accountable to the shareholders who own the company’s stock. Once public, Trump Media will be required to report its quarterly finances as well as other material news to federal regulators.

The shareholders said, "Go ahead. We don't care."

Now, when they lose their life's savings, and a small group of investors make a killing short selling, they might.

  5. Truth Social shares go into freefall after investors learn how much money it really makes

by Brad Reed April 1, 2024

    https://www.rawstory.com/truth-social-stock-price/

“Investors on Monday got their first peak at the financials of the Trump Media & Technology Group, the owner of the Truth Social platform — and they did not like what they saw.

Shares in the firm plummeted by more than 15 percent in the hours after it released its financial statement, thus shaving billions of dollars off its market cap.

As of noon on Monday, the shares were trading in the $51 range, after having closed at just under $62 the previous trading day.”

“Given that Trump Media reported a net loss of $58 million last year on revenues of just over $4 million, the firm's current price-earnings ratio is in negative territory,…”

“The Trump Media & Technology Group, the owner of the Truth Social platform, released new financial data on Monday showing that the company lost $58 million over the last year while posting revenues totaling just $4 million.”

That took less than a week.

All those Maga patriots who wanted to prove their loyalty and devotion are now losing their shirts.

  6. - This is how Donald Trump spent Easter Sunday -

And it's only the middle of the day.

    From Raw Story:

"Trump, who literally directed one "happy Easter" post to those he "despises" such as "corrupt" prosecutors and judges in his criminal cases, wrote dozens of posts earlier in the day. One report on Sunday stated that the ex-president spent "Easter Morning on a Social Media Bender — With Whopping 43 POSTS About Judge Engoron, Jon Stewart and More."

Political onlookers were also quick to point out the spree on social media."

  8. Donald Trump, while on his way to the funeral of a New York Policeman,  shared a video of a pickup truck flying Back the Blue flags, traveling down the highway with a mural of a kidnapped Joe Biden lying on his side bound with ropes.

Has anybody picked up on the irony here?

Is that what the police do in this country?

Kidnap people and thrown them in the back of pickup trucks?

CIC Ventures LLC, a company that Trump reported owning in his 2023 financial disclosure, has a similar arrangement with 45Footwear, which also says it uses Trump’s “name, likeness and image under paid license from CIC Ventures LLC, which license may be terminated or revoked according to its terms.”

A Trump spokesperson and God Bless the USA Bible did not immediately respond to questions about how much Trump was paid for the licensing deal or stands to make from each book sale."

  10. I howled.

"Mr. Clark, you asserted a number of times attorney-client privilege," DC bar committeewoman Patricia Matthews asked. "For whom were you the attorney?"

Clark then responded that his client was "President Trump, the head of the executive branch, the sole head, the unitary head of Article Two, the executive branch of the United States government."

This prompted Clark's lawyers to interject and urge their client to plead the Fifth Amendment to avoid incriminating himself.

"I would respectfully request my client to invoke questions about the basis for attorney-client privilege because those answers would be intimidating to them as well,” Clark's attorney, Harry MacDougald, said. "So respectfully, I would ask him to invoke [the Fifth Amendment]."

“Also, would you please tell my client to shut the f*** up?”

This, of course, will open the door for the prosecution to subpoena Donald Trump.

“Mr. Trump, this Jeffrey Clark guy said he gave you this advice and that advice. Did he ever say anything like that to you?.”

””No. He never said anything like that to me.”

Klaxons go off… Perjury, perjury, perjury

  11. So,help me understand this.

Overnight, Trump went to one of the 500 richest people in the world.

He owns 60% of the stock in Truth Social.

If he gets a waiver and can sell early, or if he has to wait six months, he starts selling off his stock, which will create a huge sell off and the stock will plunge in value. Thousands of people stand to lose their shirts. The company will probably go bankrupt.

Last year the company had $3 mIllion in revenue and $49 million in losses. It has never earned a profit. Could this stock speculation lead to a stock market crash?

Can Trump and the small handful of inside cronies be charged with insider trading? Are they artificially propping up the stock of a worthless company?

I think I read that one of the owners of the Digital Aquisitions Group is also one of the owners of TikTok, or at least, one of its major investors.

TikTok' parent company is ByteDance. ByteDance is a privately-held global company, with roughly 60 percent owned by global institutional investors (such as Blackrock, General Atlantic, and Susquehanna International Group.

The CEO of the Susquehanna International Group is a man by the name of Jeffrey S. Yass.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Yass#:~:text=Jeffrey S. Yass (born 1956,the richest man in Pennsylvania.&text=He is the co-founder,a major investor in TikTok.

"Jeffrey S. Yass (born 1956) is an American billionaire businessman. According to Forbes, Yass had a net worth of $28.5 billion in 2023. Yass is the richest man in Pennsylvania. He is the co-founder and managing director of the Philadelphia-based Susquehanna International Group (SIG) and a major investor in TikTok."

"As of March 2024, he is the largest donor in the 2024 US election cycle, having donated $46 million to Republican groups and campaigns, primarily to rivals of Donald Trump.[2] After Yass and Trump met in March 2024, Trump went from supporting a ban on TikTok to opposing a ban.[2] At the same time, Yass's SIG bought a substantial share in Trump's company Truth Social, providing Trump with a massive influx of money at a time when he faced mountainous legal expenses.[3]"

Are TikTok and Truth Social about to become the main sources of news in the social media world?

"Happy Holy Week! Let’s Make America Pray Again," Trump posted on Truth Social. "As we lead into Good Friday and Easter, I encourage you to get a copy of the God Bless The USA Bible."
"Social media users were shocked and appalled that Donald Trump was hawking patriotic-themed Bibles named after country singer Lee Greenwood."
"The ex-president posted a link to a website selling the Bibles for $59.99, with a four-to-six week wait for deliveries, and the frequently asked questions make clear that these are the only Bibles endorsed by either Trump or Greenwood."
"The Greenwood-themed Bibles include a handwritten chorus to “God Bless The USA” and copies of the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence and the Pledge of Allegiance."

  15. Louisiana hopes to reduce crime by letting teens conceal-carry guns

by Natalie Dressed Mar 24, 2024

    https://boingboing.net/2024/03/24/louisianans-will-be-able-to-conceal-carry-guns-without-a-permit-training.html

“Governor Jeff Landry was just elected in October, but he's already come barreling out of the courts, guns blazing. Or in this case, guns tucked under a coat or in a waistband or in a shoe, for all we know. This new legislation grants any gun owner over the age of 18 the legal right to conceal carry firearms without a permit or training. This mean that no live-fire training is required for the teenager who can now legally carry a hidden gun on him in public—while being unable to drink at a bar or rent a car.”

“Lawmakers also passed Miguez's Senate Bill 2, which grants immunity from civil liability to anyone with a concealed-carry permit who shoots and injures or kills a "perpetrator."”.

    Tom,

I think I might know where Hill was getting info about Oswald having bushy brown hair.

I think it came from Roy Truly.

    Gerald Hill WC testimony
    https://www.jfk-assassination.net/russ/testimony/hill_gl.htm

"Mr. HILL. We were standing there with Inspector Sawyer and Assistant District Attorney Bill Alexander came up to us, and we had been standing there for a minute when we heard the strange voice on the police radio that said something to the effect that, if I remember right, either the first call that came out said that they were in the 400 block of East Jefferson, and that an officer had been shot, and the voice on the radio, whoever it was, said he thought he was dead.
At this point Sergeant Owens said something to the effect that this would have been one of his men. And prior, on our way to the location from the city hall, a description had been broadcast of a possible suspect in the assassination.
With the description, as I remember, it was a white male, 5'8" 160 pounds, wearing a jacket, a light shirt, dark trousers, and sort of bushy brown hair."

That was not the description that was broadcast.

    Roy Truly's WC testimony:

"Representative FORD. In your description of Oswald to Captain Fritz, did you describe the kind of clothes that Oswald had on that day?
Mr. TRULY. I don't know, sir. No, sir; I just told him his name and where he lived and his telephone number and his age, as 23, and I said 5 feet, 9, about 150 pounds,
light brown hair--whatever I picked up off the description there. I did not try to depend on my memory to describe him. I just put down what was on this application blank. That's the reason I called Mr. Aiken, because I did not want to mislead anybody as to a description. I might call a man brown-halted, and he might be blonde."

The only problem is, is that Oswald's TSBD application does not say what color his hair is:

Mr. BELIN. Now, let me interrupt you here, sergeant. Do you remember the name of the person that gave you the description?

"We have a description on this suspect over here on Jefferson. Last seen about 300 block of East Jefferson. He's a white male, about thirty, five eight, (siren) black hair, slender, wearing white jacket, a white shirt and dark slacks. (Sirens"

Wanted for investigation for assault to murder on a police officer: A white male; approximately thirty; about five foot eight; slender build; has black hair; a white jacket; a white shirt and dark trousers.

Where does Hill keep getting this "bushy brown hair business"?

“Every single person, when I came to them saying, hey, can I get a half-billion-dollar bond?"

"Maria, they were laughing. They were laughing. Top executives of the largest surety companies had never seen anything of this size. And what, they're going to start seizing assets if he can't put up something that's not available in the United States?"”

Poor little Eric, he just can’t keep his mouth shut.

137 (Patrolman E.D. Brewer)    We have a man here who says he saw him pull the weapon back through the window off of the second floor from the southeast corner of that depository building
Dispatcher    All right, do you have the building covered off?
137    No, about 3/4 of a block away from there.
Dispatcher    All right, pull on down there.
                   137    10-4. I'll leave these witnesses here.
E.D. Brewer was a solo motorcyclist in rhe Traffic Division's 7::00 A.M to 3:00 P.M. shift, along with Hargis, Haygood, Baker, Martin and Jackson, etc.

Baker allegedly encountered Oswald on the second floor.
Was there going to be an early attempt to place Oswald and the shooting from the second floor?
What policeman walks off and leaves a witness, or witnesses to a homicide?
First there is one man who saw the rifle, who the becomes witnesses (plural).

  21. 1 hour ago, Robert Morrow said:

First of all, I want to say I know "affidavits" can be fabricated, but what do you say about this (notice how Baker is trying to hard to get the "frame Oswald" description correct - Baker comes in at 5'9", 165 pounds, whereas the Dallas Police dispatcher was sprewing out Marguerite Oswald's May, 1960 description of her son as "5 feet 10 inches tall, 165 pounds."

Couldn't Baker reasonably say I made a mistake as to which floor in the TSBD that I saw Oswald on?

Officer Marrion Baker Affidavit of 11/22/1963 describes Oswald as approximately 30 years old, 5’9”, 165 pound, dark hair and wearing a light brown jacket”

     [Affidavit of M. L. Baker, November 22, 1963] - Page 1 of 2 - The Portal to Texas History (unt.edu)

    Robert,

Baker's Affidavit matches perfectly with radio dispatches of 12:44 and 12:45. My question is, did Baker encounter someone before, or after these dispatches went out; or did he later write his affidavit to match the description contained in the dispatches? Or, like you postulate,  was the affidavit faked to match the dispatches - even down to his age.
