  1. Ron, Yes, I think so. Little by little, the influence of the raging has been from Mar Lago will begin to wane. He has nothing to offer in the way of rebuttal except these rallies where he regurgitates the same old same old. People will grow tired of it and see it for what it is, just the rantings of a madman. The only problem is that he can do a lot of damage on his way out. Steve Thomas
  2. Ron, Thanks. Mostly it's a collection of notes that I have gathered from time to time on questions that have interested me. Steve
  3. Gil, It is my belief that the Rambler was owned by Raul Castro, an officer of of Dallas SNFE Chapter of Alpha 66 and who met at the house on Halandale into which Oswald was seen entering and exiting. The driver was Manuel Rodriguez Orcarberro. I explored this on my web page with an article entitled, "Possible Rambler Lead?" https://myjfksite.weebly.com/ Steve Thomas
  4. Joe, The The Warren Commission was desperate to find such a bag. Go back and re-read the testimony of Mary Bledsoe, his landlady on Marsalis, and Ruth Paine's account of when they put him on a bus in New Orleans. To the best of my knowledge, they never did come up with a bag that Oswald owned that was big enough to put a rifle in. Steve Thomas
  5. DOJ won't defend Republican lawmaker in Capitol riot lawsuit Reuters July 28, 2021 https://www.rawstory.com/u-s-justice-dept-won-t-defend-republican-lawmaker-in-capitol-riot-lawsuit/ WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The U.S. Justice Department in a court filing on Tuesday declined to defend Republican congressman Mo Brooks in a lawsuit that alleges he conspired to instigate the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Brooks had asked the Justice Department consider him covered by the Westfall Act, which protects federal employees from being sued for actions taken as part of their jobs, concerning the lawsuit brought by Democratic congressman Eric Swalwell. "Inciting or conspiring to foment a violent attack on the United States Congress is not within the scope of employment of a Representative - or any federal employee - and thus is not the sort of conduct for which the United States is properly substituted as a defendant under the Westfall Act," it said.” “"Today's actions strongly suggest that the Department of Justice will refuse to defend Trump's action on January 6, as well," said Anne Tindall, counsel for advocacy group Protect Democracy, which is representing two Capitol Hill police officers in separate litigation against Trump.” Best news I've heard all day. 6. Joe, Current Section: CE 950 - Report of the Department of State on Lee Harvey Oswald, submitted to the Commission in January 1964. https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.html?docId=1135#relPageId=307&tab=page p. 293 “In 1961, he showed a United States consular officer a document issued by the Moscow City Government on January 14, 1960 which indicated that he never was declared a Soviet citizen.”* *“After the assassination of President Kennedy, an official of the Soviet Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated to an officer of the American Embassy in Moscow that Soviet authorities had considered Oswald's application for Soviet citizenship, but had decided not to approve it because Oswald seemed unstable.” See also letter from Walter J. Stoessel, Jr. of the Embassy in Moscow to the Director's Office of Soviet Affairs of the United States Department of State. https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.html?docId=95609&relPageId=53&search=%22Walter_J.%20Stoessel,%20Jr%22 He talks of meeting Kudryavtsev of the American Section of the MFA in the airport, who told him that, “Oswald had applied for Soviet citizenship but that ,after considering the application, the Soviet authorities had decided not to approve this application since Oswald seemed to be so unstable.” “I found this reference to the Soviet handling of his application for citizenship of interest, since I have not found any record of this aspect in our files.” The Soviets were determined (or at least said they were) to paint Oswald as "unstable". I found the last line of Stoessel's letter to be significant. The Americans had no record that Oswald had ever actually applied for Soviet citizenship. Steve Thomas
  7. This is a new one on me. There is a conspiracy theory floating around out there that is saying that vaccinated people are "shedding" their virus and causing unvaccinated people to get sick. This seems particularly dangerous to me. I can easily see mobs with pitchforks and torches seeking out people who have been vaccinated. Steve Thomas
  8. Pamela, I have compiled some notes for why, I believe, that a case can be made that it was Marina who bought the rifle. These run to about 22 pages, which would be too long to post here in their entirety, I think, unless I broke it up into about three or four posts. My notes revolve around six main areas: Oswald admitted he had the Alek James Hidell Selective Service card, bur either “denied” or “declined to admit” that the signature was his. Marina admitted to signing the name “Hidell” to “two or three things” with the name “Hidell” that were not pamphlets. Marina said on at least four occasions that they were living on Neely St. in January, and initially, that she had seen Lee cleaning the rifle in January (which she later corrected to mean she saw it for the first time in March). The handwriting experts commissioned by the HSCA were not asked to analyze the signature on the Hidell Selective Service card, or to compare the signature on the rifle order form with the signature on the DeMohrenschildt rifle photo. The times when Lee Oswald used the Americainized versions of dating as opposed to when Marina used the Cryllic version of dating. The troubling instances of evidence in this case in Marina Oswald's possession appearing after they have been seized and searched by the Dallas Police One of the most startling things I came across was this: WC testimony of Marina Oswald February 3, 1964 http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/russ/testimony/oswald_m1.htm Mr. RANKIN. Did you ever observe your husband taking the rifle away from the apartment on Neely Street? Mrs. OSWALD. Now, I think that he probably did sometimes, but I never did see it. You must understand that sometimes I would be in the kitchen and he would be in his room downstairs, and he would say bye-bye, I will be hack soon, and he may have taken it. He probably did. Perhaps he purely waited for an occasion when he could take it away without my seeing it. However, on March 3, 1964 Marina told FBI Agents, Wallace Heitman and Anatoly Boguslav that not only had she seen Oswald take the rifle out of the apartment in March, 1963, but that she had gone with him! https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.html?docId=1139#relPageId=549&tab=page March 3, 1964 If Marina never saw Oswald take the rifle from the apartment, how could she re-trace for the FBI the route he used? Mr. RANKIN. Did you learn at any time that he had been practicing with the rifle? Mrs. OSWALD. I think that he went once or twice. I didn't actually see him take the rifle, but I knew that he was practicing. Mr. RANKIN. Could you give us a little help on how you knew? Mrs. OSWALD. He told me. And he would mention that in passing---it isn't as if he said, "Well, today I am going"---it wasn't as if he said, "Well, today I am going to take the rifle and go and practice." But he would say, "Well, today I will take the rifle along for practice." Mr. RANKIN. Did you ever observe that the rifle had been taken out of the apartment at Neely Street---that is, that it was gone? Mr. RANKIN. Did you learn at any time that he had been practicing with the rifle? Mrs. OSWALD. I think that he went once or twice. I didn't actually see him take the rifle, but I knew that he was practicing. Steve Thomas
  9. Fox News hosts discuss how to ban 'childless' liberals from voting by David Edwards July 25, 2021 https://www.rawstory.com/fox-news-childless-liberals/ "The hosts of Fox & Friends discussed the merits of the idea that the "childless left" should not be able to vote. I think it's an interesting idea," host Will Cain said. "I'm into interesting ideas. Let's think about it. Let's talk about it. He's saying childless leaders are making decisions that are short-term in mind, not focused on the long-term future health of this country because they don't have a stake in the game. Parents have a stake in the game, they have children so give parents a bigger say."" You don't get to eat. You don't get to vote. It's DJT or nothing. Steve Thomas
  10. Unvaccinated people are flocking to the Titanic Museum in Branson, Missouri, where masks and vaccinations are not required, and spending hours marveling at the sight of the death and destruction caused by not having enough lifeboats. I kid you not. The infection rate in Branson, MO is running at 20%. One's neck is sore at all the shaking of one's head. Steve Thomas
  11. Trump’s new Bitcoin Trump-loving Republicans snatch up 'magacoins' -- and quickly fall victim to data breach By Travis Gettys July 22, 2021 https://www.rawstory.com/magacoins/ “More than 1,000 people -- including Republican leaders and conservative media personalities -- have already signed up for the pro-Donald Trump cryptocurrency magacoin. Poor security on a website associated with the cryptocurrency exposed users' personal information, including passwords and IP addresses, and revealed that the vast majority of the magacoin produced has gone to its self-described creator Marc Zelinka, a Trump-loving consultant, and a Super PAC associated with him, reported The Guardian. “ Steve Thomas
  12. Joe, I wrote this on February 15th in this thread: Involuntary manslaughter is defined as the unintentional death of an individual as a result of another person's negligent actions. In the United States, all states define negligent homicide by statute, often defining the offense as involuntary manslaughter.[1] https://reischlawfirm.com/criminally-negligent-homicide-vs-manslaughter-whats-difference/ “The law states that you can be charged with criminally negligent homicide if your criminally negligent behavior caused the death of another person. On the other hand, the law states that you can be charged with manslaughter if your reckless behavior caused the death of another person. Therefore, the difference between these two crimes is the type of behavior that caused the victim’s death. Criminal Negligence vs. Reckless Behavior Criminal negligence is legally defined as the failure to realize that your behavior is so dangerous that it could kill someone. In order to prove you were criminally negligent, the prosecution must be able to show that a reasonable person in your situation would have realized that their behavior was potentially dangerous. In the eyes of the law, you are reckless when you act in a manner that puts others at risk even though you are aware that your behavior could seriously harm or kill another person. Steve Thomas To put it simply, the difference between these two legal definitions comes down to risk awareness. A person who is criminally negligent did not realize his behavior was dangerous, even though he should have, whereas a reckless person knew his behavior was dangerous, but ignored the risks.”
  13. How America unleashed hell's agent in its own backyard: After Agent Orange left a trail of birth defects in Vietnam, a new film lays bare how the US sprayed it back home with devastating consequences Herbicide known as 2,4,5-T is the highly toxic main ingredient of Agent Orange The U.S. military stopped using it in 1971, but it was used in other parts of the US It left a trail of appalling birth defects, just as it had when it was used in Vietnam By Tom Leonard In New York For The Daily Mail 22 July 2021 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9811781/How-U-S-unleashed-hells-agent-left-trail-appalling-birth-defects-Vietnam.html “When Carol Van Strum moved to Five Rivers, Oregon, in 1974, she thought she had found the perfect rural idyll. Surrounded by National Forest, her four young children could grow up close to nature. They loved fishing and playing by the river, fascinated by the little ‘dipper’ birds that sat on the rocks. Then one day the children fell sick, choking and gasping. Down at the river, Carol found a scene of devastation — dead ducklings, crayfish and trout. The cause seemed fairly obvious: a U.S. Forestry Service helicopter had been flying overhead the day before, spraying something over the land. Nobody knew what it was but, ‘a lot of people assumed, “Well it’s the government doing it, it must be OK,” ’ says Carol. ‘We called the fire service and they said: “Oh no, it’s perfectly safe.” ’ But it wasn’t. The chopper was spraying a herbicide known as 2,4,5-T — the highly toxic main ingredient of Agent Orange, the notorious chemical defoliant used to blanket swathes of South-East Asia during the Vietnam War.” Steve Thomas
  14. Pamela, From the signature on the Hidell Selective Service card, to the Walker Note, to the note on the back of the DeMohrenschildt rifle photo, I think Marina set up Oswald beautifully. Steve Thomas

Men wear tank tops and shorts.” “The European Handball Federation (EHF) said in a statement that its disciplinary commission had dealt with “a case of improper clothing” in the bronze medal match against Spain.” Way to go ladies! How can I help pay their fine? Steve Thomas
  16. Pamela, I think, but cannot prove, that Marina's whirlwind romance and marriage to Lee Harvey Oswald, and the rapid approval for her to leave Russia were designed to get her to America in general, and Fort Worth, specifically as quickly as possible.. The year's long delay was not the Russians' fault, It was the American State Department's. I don't know if she was designed to get information from someone, or to give it. Steve Thomas
  17. Mike Lindell: I talked to Trump and 'he's very positive' about being reinstated By David Edwards July 19, 2021 https://www.rawstory.com/mike-lindell-donald-trump/ “Lindell noted that Trump believes "there's not going to be a 2022 or a 2024" election unless the 2020 election is overturned.” What's this horse hockey? 18. Donald Trump's latest dangerous vaccine pronouncement Analysis by Chris Cillizza, Mon July 19, 2021 https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/19/politics/donald-trump-covid-19-vaccines/index.html "Joe Biden kept talking about how good of a job he's doing on the distribution of the Vaccine that was developed by Operation Warp Speed or, quite simply, the Trump Administration," the 45th president said in a statement released via his Save America PAC on Sunday. "He's not doing well at all. He's way behind schedule, and people are refusing to take the Vaccine because they don't trust his Administration, they don't trust the Election results, and they certainly don't trust the Fake News, which is refusing to tell the Truth." Oooookay. Steve Thomas

  20. Joe, The corner of Zangs Blvd. and N.Beckley had a stoplight. Have you ever pulled up behind someone and the light turned green and they didn't start up right away and pull through the intersection and you tapped your horn a couple of times to let them know that the light had turned green and they could move on out? I'm not so sure that isn't what was going on at Zangs and Beckley. If a patrol car had been cruising Oak Cliff, it’s logical to assume it would have been one of the patrol cars assigned to the Southwest Area Substation. Joseph McBride has traced the activities of several of these officers. Some of these names will be familiar to you: M.N. McDonald, T.R. Gregory, Billy Anglin, William Mentzel, J.D. Tippit, Calvin Owens, Roy Walker, etc. https://www.history-matters.com/archive/jfk/wc/wcvols/wh19/pdf/WH19_Batchelor_Ex_5002.pdf page 126 (p. 10 of the pdf file). It looks like patrolmen who were assigned badge numbers in the 70’s and 80’s and low 90’s were assigned to the Southwest Area Subdivision. (M.N. McDonald, Ronald Nelson, J.D. Tippit, Henry Horn, etc.) I do not know how many of these patrol cars were one-man cars, or if any were two-man cars. From the Dispatch Tapes: At 12:30 Officer 91 radioed in that they were “clear”. http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/dpdtapes/ 91 (Ptm. W.D. Mentzel and Ptm. J.W. Courson) 91 clear. At 12:34 Patrolman Henry Horn #76 also radioed in that he was “clear”. 76 (Ptm. H.H. Horn) 76 clear. At 12:38 Sgt. H.F. Davis #80, radioed in that he was “clear” 80 (Sgt. H.F. Davis) 80 clear. At 12:38 Patrolman Ronald C. Nelson #87 radioed in that he was “clear 87 (Ptm. R.C. Nelson) 87 clear. At 12:41, after telling all units to proceed to Elm and Houston, Patrolman Walter E. Smith, #77 radioed in and asked Dispatch if he should go in. 77 (Ptm. W.E. Smith) 77. Dispatcher 10-4, 77. 77 Do you want me to go? Dispatch did not answer him. #76, Patrolman Henry Horn, was told to go to Elm and Houston Dispatcher 76, Code 3, Elm and Houston. At 12:41, Patrolman J.L Angell reported that he was at Corinth and Eigth. 81 (Ptm. J.L. Angell) Corinth and Eighth. Eigth Street in Dallas in very close to Neely, but Corinth and 8th St is over in the south part of Dallas. https://www.google.com/maps/place/E+8th+St+%26+Corinth+St+Rd,+Dallas,+TX+75203/@32.749104,-96.8012244,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x864e99ae3c445b19:0x24d2db677d31fda9!8m2!3d32.7490995!4d-96.7990357 Patrolman, W.P. Parker radioed in that he was clear on East Jefferson, but he was not assigned to the Southwest subdivision. William P. Parker was assigned to the Second Platoon in the Northeast Division see p. 125 (page 8 of Batchelor’s Exhibit 5002) https://www.history-matters.com/archive/jfk/wc/wcvols/wh19/pdf/WH19_Batchelor_Ex_5002.pdf 56 (Ptm. W.P. Parker) 56 clear for 5. Dispatcher 56, your location. 56 East Jefferson. At 12:45, J.D. Tippit and Patrolman Ronald C. Nelson are ordered to move into the Central Oak Cliff area. Dispatcher 87, 78, move into central Oak Cliff area. Tippit and Nelson reported their locations: 78 (Ptm. J.D. Tippit) I'm about Kiest and Bonnie View. 87 (Ptm. R.C. Nelson) 87's going north on Marsalis at R.L. Thornton. At 12:45, Patrolmen Walter Smith, #77, J. L. Angell, #81, and Billy Anglin, #79 were all reporting in that they were on Corinth. There must have been some kind of disturbance in the 1400 block. 77 (Ptm. W.E. Smith) 77. 77/79 (79 is Ptm. B.N. Arglin) 77/79, 1400 block Corinth. 81 We're going north on Industrial from Corinth. Dispatcher 10-4. At 12:47, Billy Angell, #81 reported that he was “out” 81 (Ptm. J.L. Angell) 81. (siren) Dispatcher 81. 81 Out. At 12:51, Billy Anglin, #79 reported that he was at the Triple underpass 79 (Ptm. B.N. Arglin) 79. Dispatcher 79. 79 Be out at the Triple Underpass. At 12:52, Ronald Nelson, #87 radioed in and said he was “out down here”, wherever “here” was. 87 87 out down here. At 12:54. J.D. Tippit was told to remain at large. Dispatcher 78. 78 (Ptm. J.D. Tippit) 78. Dispatcher You are in the Oak Cliff area, are you not? 78 Lancaster and Eighth. Dispatcher You will be at large for any emergency that comes in. 78 10-4. I don’t see any communications between Dispatch and the Southwest Division patrolmen between then and 1:00 PM, in time for Earlene Roberts to see Lee Harvey Oswald. Steve Thomas

  22. Trump's tantrum over British Open offers another window into his soullessness Ray Hartmann July 18, 2021 https://www.rawstory.com/trump-tantrum-british-open-turnberry/ - Donald J. Trump - "As almost all of the great players, sportscasters, and golf aficionados know, the greatest site and course of all for The Open is Turnberry, in Scotland, It is truly a magical place, the players want to be there, and at some point in time the players will be there," Trump continued. "But this course was not chosen for The Open because they consider a wonderful person, and many-time Club Champion, named Donald J. Trump, to be too controversial—this is, of course, a false reputation caused mainly by the Fake News Media. It is a shame that the phenomenal Turnberry Golf links, the best in the World, sits empty during Open Championships, while far lesser courses are on display. Oh well, life proceeds forward! Someday The Open will be back at Turnberry," “Rick Reilly wrote the book on this subject -- Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump -- in which he brilliantly lays out how Trump's lying and cheating at golf inform who he is. One of Reilly's prime exhibits was Trump's repeated claim that he has won 18 golf club championships, a bogus claim the author blows up in painstaking detail, one lie at a time. Turns out the actual number is zero, Trump's recent email notwithstanding. As Reilly noted, "So here was Trump caterwauling about 18 golf championships that were faker than Cheez Whiz...” Steve Thomas

  24. Pamela, The whole thing stinks to high heaven. (Pardon my French). I didn't realize the whole 10 days thing from marriage proposal to ceremony. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kharkiv#Post-World_War_II “Industry plays a significant role in Kharkiv's economy, specialized primarily in machinery and electronics. There are hundreds of industrial facilities throughout the city, including the Morozov Design Bureau and the Malyshev Tank Factory (leaders in world tank production from the 1930s to the 1980s); Khartron (aerospace, nuclear power plants and automation electronics); Turboatom (turbines for hydro-, thermal- and nuclear-power plants); and Antonov (the multipurpose aircraft manufacturing plant).“ Steve Thomas
  25. Pamela, I think we can see evidence of that in a letter Lee wrote to his mother in October of 1961. (He dated the letter 1959, but I think he misdated it.) (Either that, or something else was weirdly going on). What newly married couple, who have only been married for six months, take mutually agreed upon separate vacations 600 miles apart? CE 183 p. 538 https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.html?docId=1133#relPageId=562 PS: Do you think that this particular aunt was married to the same Colonel who was in the MVD pr KGB or whatever, or was it a different aunt? If it was the aunt who was married to the Colonel, my suspicious antennae are going up. Steve Thomas
