  1. No, I wouldn't, Ben. But I still don't see how the January 6th insurrection could have possibly been in the interest of the "national security state" -- unless the objective was to create a pretext for removing Pence from the Capitol before the election could be certified.
  2. Yeah, Ron. I think that was the only time I ever added a harmonica track to a Robert Johnson song, which is kind of like diluting a single malt Scotch. A connoisseur of Scotch whiskey once told me to never do that.
  3. I think it was Voltaire who said, "To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize."
  4. Ben, I have no inside information about how the Washington Post operates but my impression, as a reader, is that they cover U.S. political news very well, except in matters pertaining to the CIA and covert military ops. The late Katherine Graham, who owned the WaPo, famously said, "There are some things that the American people don't need to know"-- i.e., like the true history of covert CIA and military ops at home and abroad since WWII... 🤥
  5. To paraphrase Oliver Stone, "Spike Lee got rolled by the Deep State." War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Physics is a "conspiracy theory." https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/spike-lee-edits-911-conspiracy-theorists-out-of-hbos-nyc-epicenters-docuseries/ar-AANOmRt
  6. Micah, The precise opposite is the case. I used to tutor undergrads in physics when I was in college, and one of the things I liked about physics is its mathematical precision. The physics of the WTC demolitions is actually quite simple. If a rock, or a steel skyscraper, collapses in a free fall, (i.e., at the acceleration of gravity) the resistance to collapse must, necessarily, be zero. Any resistance would interfere with free fall acceleration. In other words, something that could demolish steel had to abruptly, symmetrically demolish all of the massive steel sub-structures of WTC1, WTC2, and WTC7 on 9/11. All three buildings collapsed symmetrically into their foundations at virtual free fall acceleration. Trickling jet fuel "weakening" steel beams on a few upper level floors would not have sufficed to abruptly demolish the entire lower level steel substructures, as observed. (Besides, you can readily observe the explosive pulverizations of WTC1 and WTC2 on film.) The NIST Report was a fraudulent, multi-million dollar government cover up-- a putative computer "simulation" of the WTC demolitions for which the government authors refused to publish the parameters they used in their "simulation." It's an approach to computer simulations that a friend of mine from the RAND Corporation used to jokingly call, "MOT"-- the "Modified Output Technique." You insert the parameters that you need, however unrealistic, to achieve a desired outcome. Again, if you're truly interested in learning about the science of the WTC demolitions, study the "Evidence" articles at the Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth website. Lord knows, you won't ever learn about it in the U.S. mainstream media... 🤥 https://www.ae911truth.org/evidence/evidence-overview
  7. Richard, There's some quality research about 9/11 out there, including the work of the Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth. It has been completely blacked out of the mainstream U.S. media for 20 years now. That's why it's so frustrating to watch Spike Lee being pressured this week to delete his HBO series interviews with the Architects & Engineers. The guys who did 9/11 are, obviously, using all of their media resources to keep the American people from learning about the scientific evidence debunking the official government narrative about 9/11. It's analogous to Henry Luce and C.D. Jackson arranging in 1963 to lock up the Zapruder film for years, so that the American public wouldn't know that the fatal head shot was fired from in front and right of the limo. And, ironically, the Architects & Engineers aren't even "conspiracy theorists" per se-- as claimed by WaPo, Vanity Fair, Jeremy Stahl at Slate, et.al. Their research focus is not on theories about who "conspired" to demolish the World Trade Center on 9/11. It is simply focused on the scientific evidence of controlled demolitions.
  8. Pete, I grew up with the non-pornographic American vinyl cover of that eponymous Blind Faith album--incidentally, one of my favorite albums of that phenomenal rock 'n roll year of 1969. (Winwood and Clapton reprised some of those terrific Blind Faith songs in their live 2009 Madison Square Garden concert/DVD.) https://www.amazon.com/Eric-Clapton-Steve-Winwood-Madison/dp/B00278U1W0/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3E8LYH3BLWYXV&dchild=1&keywords=steve+winwood+dvd&qid=1630089167&sprefix=Steve+Winwood%2Caps%2C203&sr=8-1 And, speaking of covers, I recorded my own cover of Eric Clapton's Blind Faith song, Presence of the Lord, with my studio basement band many years ago. https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=12910691
  9. Is there any reasonable doubt at this point that a 21st century iteration of Operation Mockingbird is alive and well? This week's coordinated M$M assault on Spike Lee and the Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth is proof positive, IMO. And, in an obvious case of overplaying their hand, WaPo even dragged Oliver Stone into the smear campaign-- after blacklisting any coverage of JFK Revisited all summer.
  10. Dead wrong, Micah. Have you studied physics and chemistry over the years? Bingo. And I noticed that these M$M journalists are using the same lame, erroneous talking points to smear the Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth-- e.g., referring to them as "controversial conspiracy theorists," rather than accredited scientists and engineers. Nor do they acknowledge that thousands of accredited architects, engineers, and academicians from the U.S. and other countries are affiliated with the Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth. Another propaganda strategy they are using is to lump the Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth into a category with QAnon. Total false equivalence. P.S. Micah, you need to do some serious remedial reading on the scientific research literature. Here's a link. https://www.ae911truth.org/evidence/explosive-features
  11. Paul, I sound like a broken record, but the scientific evidence of explosive demolitions is overwhelming. In fact, the explosive demolitions are not even a "theory" at this point. They are a matter of scientific fact. There's a reason why the M$M is aggressively smearing Spike Lee and the Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth this week. (BTW, Jeff, although the U.S. government, incredibly, never conducted a forensic/arson examination of Ground Zero, while hastily destroying the evidence, there have been independent scientific examinations of the Ground Zero debris. That chemical evidence is discussed at the Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth website.) https://www.ae911truth.org/evidence/technical-articles/articles-in-engineering-and-science-publications/106-active-thermitic-material-discovered-in-dust-from-the-9-11-world-trade-center-catastrophe
  12. It's amazing to see how many false statements and inaccurate characterizations Sonny Bunch was able to cram into that brief, miserable op-ed. It's like an entertainment article from the "news" bureau in George Orwell's novel 1984. Bunch's Lone Nutter statement about Oswald was the worst, but how about his attribution of Spike Lee's rational skepticism about the official 9/11 narrative to African American paranoia? Huh? Bunch needs to go back and study "the tragedy we all saw play out on live on television" more carefully. He, apparently missed the serial explosions that pulverized and demolished the WTC towers.
  13. Spike Lee’s flirtation with 9/11 trutherism isn’t a surprise. But it should be a warning. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/08/26/spike-lees-flirtation-with-911-trutherism-isnt-surprise-it-should-be-warning/?nid=top_pb_signin&arcId=TSW6WZZZOFAWFPVHNSBZIZOZEI&account_location=ONSITE_HEADER_ARTICLE Filmmaker Spike Lee outside his studio in the Fort Green section of Brooklyn. (Andre D. Wagner for The Washington Post) Opinion by Sonny Bunch Contributing columnist Today at 8:00 a.m. EDT Initially, the news that acclaimed filmmaker Spike Lee is sympathetic to a noxious class of conspiracy theories about the 9/11 terrorist attacks seems shocking. But it’s hardly the first time that Lee has elevated conspiratorial thinking. And he’s not alone: Filmmakers have long gravitated to conspiracy theories as excellent sources of plot and atmosphere. However, it’s worth taking a closer look at the claptrap some artists are feeding the public — and to recognize that it’s more than benign entertainment. The so-called 9/11 Truth movement, which questions the obvious explanation for what happened that day — that hijackers flew planes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, while passengers forced down United 93 in the fields of Pennsylvania — and posits alternative and sinister explanations for why the buildings came down has a sordid history. So it’s natural that the New York Times’ Reggie Ugwu would ask Lee why he included extensive comments from a 9/11 Truther in his new documentary “New York Epicenters: 9/11 – 2021½.” “I got questions,” Lee said, parroting well-known 9/11 Truth talking points. “The amount of heat that it takes to make steel melt, that temperature’s not reached. And then the juxtaposition of the way Building 7 fell to the ground — when you put it next to other building collapses that were demolitions, it’s like you’re looking at the same thing.” This isn’t the first time Lee’s raised such “questions.” In his Hurricane Katrina documentary “When the Levees Broke,” Lee gave airtime to folks who darkly hinted that the levees in New Orleans had previously been destroyed during Hurricane Betsy in 1965, and may have been deliberately blown up again during Katrina to flood poor Black neighborhoods. Lee’s filmography often deals with the ways in which minority communities have been abused by those in power, so it’s not surprising that he often sees dark forces at work behind the scenes. But it is somewhat surprising he can’t turn that part of his brain off even when confronting a tragedy we all saw play out live on TV. Lee is by no means the only great filmmaker to channel his conspiratorial leanings into his work. Oliver Stone is currently making the festival rounds with “JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass,” a documentary he hopes “ties up many loose threads, and hopefully repudiates much of the ignorance around” both John F. Kennedy’s assassination and “JFK,” the fictionalized movie Stone made about the case. Richard Linklater included old pal and rabid conspiracy theorist Alex Jones in his films “Waking Life“ and “A Scanner Darkly,” the latter of which posited a strange confluence of American hyper-surveillance and the ills of the pharma-industrial complex. It is not difficult to separate art from artist here. Lee’s “Bamboozled” remains a bracing comment on the nature of racial depictions on TV and in film, regardless of whether or not he’s willing to entertain the idea that George W. Bush did 9/11. Nor is it difficult to separate art from truth: “JFK” remains one of the best-edited movies I’ve ever seen, the rapid cutting replicating the verbal avalanches used by conspiracy theorists to overwhelm common sense, even if Lee Harvey Oswald absolutely and without a doubt killed Kennedy. But in an age of resurgent conspiracism, with wild talk about QAnon and vaccination misinformation filling the void as 9/11 Truth has ebbed, it is worth thinking about the ways in which mainstream filmmakers have helped give rise to our new paranoid moment. “We have some complicity in sort of narrativizing conspiracies and building a universe in which, you know, there’s always a twist and there’s always a secret bad guy/organization behind stuff,” screenwriter John August recently said on his podcast with fellow screenwriter Craig Mazin, “Scriptnotes.” Mazin’s words were even stronger. “It oughta give strong, clear pause if you are thinking about writing a conspiracy theory story. Because we have absolutely fed into this,” Mazin said in response to a question from listeners about whether or not the rise of Q and similar theories could be traced back to shows such as “The X-Files.” “The insistence that everything that happens in the world has occurred because humans wanted it to happen, and that anybody that thinks otherwise is naive and foolish, that’s a problem. It has absolutely fed into this stuff.” Mazin and August highlighted the Jason Bourne movies — about a clandestine superspy organization keeping tabs on everyone all over the globe at the same time — but this sort of device pops up everywhere. From the big-budget comic book blockbusters, which feature organizations such as S.H.I.E.L.D. in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Amanda Waller’s Suicide Squad in DC’s movies; to the final reveal in mid-budget horror titles such as “Old”; to the entire “Purge” franchise, which is predicated upon the idea that the government would sanction the murder of minorities for fun and profit, there’s a sinister, controlling hand at work nearly everywhere we look. Certainly Fox Mulder didn’t create Q; “The Parallax View” isn’t responsible for vaccine hesitancy. But it’s hard to deny that a media saturated in paranoia contributes to a public steeped in mistrust. When Lee says he simply wants to put “information in the movie and let people decide for themselves,” I can’t help but think of all the people doing their own “research” on covid-19 vaccines in an effort to talk themselves out of getting a lifesaving shot. “A person is smart,” Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) tells Agent J (Will Smith) in a key conspiracy text, “Men in Black.” “People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals, and you know it.” Conspiratorial thinking may be fun to play with on screen. But filmmakers concerned about the brains of their audience might want to consider whether to keep feeding that sort of dumb panic.
  14. Well, this is truly historic, folks-- an orchestrated, full-court press by key players in the U.S. mainstream media to suppress the scientific evidence of the explosive WTC demolitions, and to falsely impugn the reputations and research of thousands of accredited architects and engineers who have thoroughly debunked the bogus NIST computer "simulation" of the 9/11 demolitions. The Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth are not kooky "conspiracy theorists." They are physicists, architects, and engineers. They have reputable academic and professional credentials. Why won't these M$M propagandists tell America the truth about that fact? What the M$M is doing this week is comparable to their suppression and misrepresentation of the evidence in the JFK assassination case, (including the Zapruder film) and the coordinated media denigration of JFKA "truthers" like Jim Garrison and Oliver Stone. Who is onboard with this anti-9/11 Truth disinformation campaign? Practically everyone-- from Slate, NYT, WaPo, Vanity Fair to Variety. In effect, these M$M players are covering for the perpetrators of the 9/11 op. Spike Lee’s 9/11 Doc Didn’t Just Include Conspiracy Theories—It Promoted Them A rundown of what exactly NYC Epicenters 9/11 → 2021 ½ contained before Lee decided, thankfully, to recut it. https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2021/08/spike-lees-911-doc-promoted-conspiracy-theories
  15. Interesting stuff, Chris. Raytheon has some interesting connections with 9/11. Most people don't know that Raytheon was involved in developing the first GPS-guided, remote-piloting technology for Boeing jetliners, and that their remote-piloting technology was successfully tested in a Boeing jetliner in New Mexico in August of 2001. The operators were able to take off, maneuver, and land the Boeing jet without a pilot. What's even creepier is that a number of high-level Raytheon employees were, apparently, killed aboard American Airlines Flight #77 on 9/11.
  16. Micah, Office fires characteristically burn steel skyscrapers for extended periods of time without ever causing the steel substructures to collapse. The examples are legion.* And the massive steel columns of WTC1 and WTC2 weren't merely "weakened." Nor were they brought down by gravitational "pile drivers." That's a pseudo-scientific (NIST) explanation for the near free-fall collapse and explosive pulverization of the Twin Towers on 9/11. The steel columns were rapidly demolished (and liquefied) by steel-melting explosives. You can readily observe the serial explosions and molten steel cascades on film of the WTC demolitions. It's basic empiricism. Multiple witnesses also described the serial explosions in those buildings. The real issue this week regarding Spike Lee is that the mainstream media moguls who have suppressed the scientific evidence about the explosive demolitions of the WTC on 9/11 for the past 20 years are now aggressively trying to block the American public from hearing the scientific evidence-- while falsely denigratng the scientists as "controversial conspiracy theorists." It's ludicrous-- because the Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth haven't even published theories about who was responsible for 9/11. They have simply focused on the overwhelming scientific evidence that the buildings were explosively demolished. * https://911research.wtc7.net/wtc/analysis/compare/fires.html
  17. BTW, folks. Jet fuel does not burn at a temperature that can liquefy steel-- something which definitely happened during the WTC demolitions on 9/11. Rupert Murdoch's New York Post journalist (above) refers to Spike Lee ranting about, "the notorious jet fuel can’t melt steel beams conspiracy theory. " But that's not a theory. It's a scientific fact. Firemen described molten steel flowing "like a foundry" at Ground Zero, and you can see molten steel streaming from WTC1 and WTC2 (on film) during the explosive demolitions of those towers on 9/11.
  18. Spike Lee ‘back in the editing room’ on HBO 9/11 doc after backlash https://nypost.com/2021/08/25/spike-lee-back-in-editing-room-on-hbo-9-11-doc-after-furor/ August 25, 2021 Spike Lee would like for you to please withhold judgment until you’ve seen the finished product. The acclaimed director is apparently backtracking on the final cut of his upcoming HBO documentary series, “New York Epicenters: 9/11-2021½,” after he was slammed for including remarks from conspiracy theorists. “I’m Back In The Editing Room And Looking At The Eighth And Final Chapter Of NYC EPICENTERS 9/11➔2021½,” Lee said in a Wednesday statement, The Wrap reported. “I Respectfully Ask You To Hold Your Judgement Until You See The FINAL CUT. I Thank You, Spike Lee.” “Do the Right Thing” director Lee, 64, faced backlash following a Monday New York Times interview in which he admitted he doesn’t buy into “official explanations” of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. see also Spike Lee says he believes 9/11 conspiracy theory: ‘I got questions’ In the story, the Oscar-winning filmmaker defended the conspiracy theorists he gives a platform to in his upcoming, four-part HBO documentary about 9/11. “I mean, I got questions — and I hope that maybe the legacy of this documentary is that Congress holds a hearing, a congressional hearing about 9/11,” he told the Times, going on to rant about the notorious jet fuel can’t melt steel beams conspiracy theory. “The amount of heat that it takes to make steel melt, that temperature’s not reached. And then the juxtaposition of the way Building 7 fell to the ground — when you put it next to other building collapses that were demolitions, it’s like you’re looking at the same thing,” Lee said, arguing that people will make up their own minds and his approach is to “put the information in the movie and let people decide for themselves. I respect the intelligence of the audience.” Lee was specifically called out for featuring members of the conspiracy group Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth, whose members have suggested that government officials were involved in the World Trade Center collapse. The Oscar winner’s project also includes interviews with Mayor Bill de Blasio, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Sen. Chuck Schumer and front-line workers.
  19. Spike Lee Is Re-Editing His Sept. 11 Docuseries Episode Featuring 9/11 Truthers https://variety.com/2021/tv/news/spike-lee-9-11-series-truthers-reedit-1235049118/ August 25, 2021
  20. It now looks like Spike Lee, in response to pre-emptive attacks by the M$M, will be editing his interviews with the Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth in Part IV of his new 9/11 HBO series. It's like editing interviews with James DiEugenio out of a documentary on the JFK assassination. Notice that the mainstream media won't accurately refer to the A&E architects and engineers as accredited architects and engineers, which they are, but as "controversial conspiracy theorists." This is like something out of 1984. 21. Geez... talk about a frivolous lawsuit. Is the kid related to Courtney Love? 🤥 I've listened to that Nirvana Never Mind CD for years, and it never occurred to me that the baby had no trunks on. All I remember is the baby reaching for the dollar bill.
  22. Indeed. Slate magazine is going full bugliosi today on Spike Lee and the Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth. It's utterly absurd. The A&E guys are academic scientists and engineers, and the Slate editor is aggressively denigrating them as crackpot "conspiracy theorists." Part of the problem is that the public doesn't even know that the A&E guys are scientists and engineers. And the public needs to have a basic knowledge of science-- Newtonian physics, melting points, etc.-- to understand that the anti-9/11 Truth propaganda in the media is absolute bunk. It's disturbing to observe the aggressive response in the media to the first 9/11 Truth bomb to burst the M$M iron dome in 20 years-- thanks to Spike Lee.
  23. I think you're spot on, Kirk. Obama never seemed to openly express anger, even when blatantly provoked. Some people used to jokingly refer to him as, "Mr. Spock." Perhaps he had learned from difficult experiences in his life, and was also blessed with a benign, positive temperament. It bothered me, because Obama always bent over backwards to be cordial to his Republican adversaries in Congress who would respond by treating him with contempt. The worst example was the July 2011 refusal of the House Republicans to accept what columnist David Brooks called Obama's "Mother of All No Brainers" debt-ceiling proposal. One other psychoanalytic explanation is that people who are mistreated or abused in childhood often have blinders (denial) about abusive conduct that they experience as adults. They can't see it. It's a childhood defense mechanism to protect and maintain the illusion that caregivers and associates are not abusive.
  24. There certainly would have been no dearth of potential patsies to pin the blame on, if the CIA had opted to JFK Barack Obama... 🤥
