The past weekend once again showed that existence so-called "the Minsk format" of negotiations on settlement of a situation in Ukraine is only attempt to create a beautiful wrapper of disgusting reality.



In that time when representatives of the "Minsk" contact group conducted next Skype negotiations about new meetings on an exchange of prisoners and questions of non-use of large-caliber artillery and mortar systems, the Ukrainian retaliatory battalions made an attempt to storm Lugansk from the northeast direction. At the same time "the father of the Ukrainian nation" Poroshenko already published on the page in Facebook the statement that "I am Sharli" and reported to "the city and the world" about the planned trip to Paris for participation in March of the world against terrorism.

In other words, while terrorists of retaliatory battalions of which actions, to put it mildly, through fingers Poroshenko takes a detached view, "popyorl" Villages Lugansk and while ukrosilovik actively increased group and pulled together armored machinery around Happiness (to the North from Lugansk), Poroshenko very clearly showed that he is such "powerful" peacekeeper and the fighter against terrorism that Europe from one its emergence in Paris has to clap.

The situation with clashes in vicinities of Lugansk was confirmed also by the protege Poroshenko in Lugansk "area" Mr. Moskalyom, but only the Russian, for obvious reasons, decided to present everything in the form, convenient for Kiev. Ukraine and Novorossiya: there is no control — there is no world

Break a picture of "a whiteness and a wooliness" of the Ukrainian retaliatory battalions of the publication on Facebook where at once some representatives of the mentioned battalions decided to be marked out by "heroic" records in which it is said a little that against "separatists" (rebels) they applied the "not lethal gifts" received from foreign friends. Thus the word "not lethal" in the general context of a post sounds with obvious irony. In other words, representatives of so-called voluntary battalions through social networks actually openly admit that from abroad to them military weapon and very much even lethal ammunition which were applied against Novorossiya's militia gets. Whether it gets to them that is called centrally, or by means of deliveries through so-called battalion commanders deputies? – not so important. The main thing that gets is time, and that the weapon in a zone of the conflict becomes more and more, without looking at any Minsk arrangements are two.

As a result, it leads to that the central Kiev authorities finally lose control over those formations which, it seems, conduct military operations on side of Kiev ("on side of Kiev" doesn't mean that on Poroshenko or Yatsenyuk's party yet).

Frankly speaking, full control from the central Kiev authorities wasn't initially, but now the situation turns in uncontrollable finally. Thus it is possible to speak about unity in DNR and LNR, but that a sin to conceal, neither unity, nor serious control over the militarized structures isn't present and from the authorities which are in Donetsk and Lugansk much. And the most unhealthy is what to admit real impossibility regain control over situation at least in return neither the Kiev authorities, nor the authorities of the republics of Novorossiya can't.

In this regard it is worth paying attention to the statement of the vice-chairman of National council of DNR Denis Pushilin. Pushilin says that uncontrollable Kiev battalions of national guard turn Ukraine into Somalia. Separate groups for which there are no laws, make attempts to be allocated in the military conflict, achieving the objectives and are more whole than those who sponsors them.

Ukraine turns into Somalia as people consider that for them not pisana laws. They go with the weapon and independently make decisions on these or those questions.

It is difficult to disagree with it. But at all respect for the authorities of Novorossiya's republics which declared the independence, and on this party of barricades those who isn't ready to oppose as a part of a united front the Kiev occupation are enough. Pulling of a blanket on itself in the circumstances conducts to skirmishes uncontrollable Kiev of divisions of national guard and uncontrollable the authorities of DNR and LNR of groups of a militia. Absence of control of the separate militarized formations from both parties leads to that the conflict will infinitely last long, on pleasure of subjects, a coma not healing wound in Novorossiya only on a hand. And, as practice of the similar conflicts shows, lack of control and "the unbridled will" can extend and on those divisions which, it seems, work in a certain framework. The stirred-up trouble in that case risks to overflow.

Actually the situation comes to such point behind which only implementation of frank provocations by the uncontrollable central authorities by divisions with the purpose to involve a warring party already in the new large-scale conflict takes place. One of such provocations also proved while "voluntary" battalions from the Village Lugansk made an attempt of an exit to an administrative center of LNR. This attempt was stopped in time, but its purpose was not so much in the break, how many in creation of information wave. Only one Ukrainian mass media gave out "on the mountain" materials, how "ghouls terrorists of LNR" attacked "peace national guardsmen". When performing a number of the accompanying conditions it had to provoke reciprocal approach of a militia with all that it implies from Kiev and the West consequences. Reciprocal approach didn't take place – for the Kiev radicals and their Washington "friends" it is "pechalka", but they will try still. Will surely try, after all they know that so far Poroshenko will shout on all corners that "keeps a situation under control", they still will have chance to achieve the main goal – not civil war in Ukraine, and wars quite to themselves interstate with the invitation of NATO "assistants" and the subsequent to them the oath on a known banderovsky sample under the slogan about fight for "nezalezhnost".

According to the General Staff of the Donetsk National Republic, in days 75 violations of a ceasefire regime by the Ukrainian security officers are recorded. Generally national guardsmen opened fire from mortars, small arms and systems of volley fire. Two civil was lost, six more got wounds of varying severity.

Alexey Pushnov, the head of the State Duma Committee of Russia of the international affairs considers that foreign mass media, selectively lighting tragedies depending on the one who in them suffered and where they occurred, shows policy of the double standards "in the most disgusting form".

The reason of such saying is very simple. Pushnov attentively examined mass media of foreign countries, and also estimated reactions of official instances to events of the beginning of May, 2014 in Odessa in which some tens people died. As it was succeeded to find out, in Europe these events were practically not covered. In the same way newspapers and television about death of civilians in Donbass are silent.

- Yes, in Paris there was a tragedy. And Russia nobly proved: condolences at all levels were expressed, cooperation in fight against terrorism was offered, full solidarity with the French people was expressed. But when kill our compatriots in the territory of Ukraine when kill children and women, we don't hear any condolences from the European politicians — Pushkov noticed.

Covering events in Paris in the microblog in the Twitter, the chairman of committee remembered Petro Poroshenko's participation in "Republican march" in memory of the victims of acts of terrorism. - Poroshenko: "In Paris all civilized countries united". All day Ukraine "in a civilized way" bombed Donbass: 5 killed, from them two – children.

Only look in these eyes. In them - at all regrets, only a celebration and hope that the tranche from Europe nevertheless will come the way of Ukraine.

By the way, gesture of the President already caused disputes. In some photos it is visible that during this mournful action, the Ukrainian president to someone greeting waves a hand as though it is some pre-election meeting.

Unpacific truce

The situation in Donbass was restless, despite numerous statements for ceasefire, a truce and branch of heavy arms. Periodic attacks and skirmishes through contact proceeded during the whole fall, how on September 5, 2014 in Minsk the Ceasefire Agreement was reached.

The main battles during this period were conducted near Donetsk — around the airport, in Debaltsevo and in some other settlements. At the beginning of November of VSU tried to attack positions of DNR army in Yasinovatoy, near Donetsk, however the attack which was carried out by small forces was beaten off.

Both parties used a truce for strengthening of the military potential. Armed forces of Ukraine and other militarized formations needed restoration after the heavy losses suffered in August fights. Divisions of a militia of the national republics needed time for rearrangement in regular armed forces which creation it was declared during August fights.

As background for a truce the fierce political bargaining at the high level between Moscow, Kiev, Berlin (which assumed a role of the leader of the EU in this conflict), Paris and indirectly Washington served. The political and economic pressure upon Moscow put by already imposed sanctions, and also threats of acceptance new limited possibilities of Russian government to influence Kiev. Continuation of dialogue with the West was put into direct dependence on success of the actions directed on the conflict termination.

Thus directly belligerent parties were much less interested in a truce. If Kiev needing restoration of military potential still could take a certain benefit, for the national republics the truce which left the Ukrainian artillery on positions from which she could fire at the largest cities of the region was absolutely unacceptable. As a result residential quarters of Donetsk and other front settlements turned into hostages of political process, as was shown with renewal of military operations.

Those positions of the Ukrainian army and paramilitary groups which the militia of both republics of Novorossiya could, according to experts, with rather small losses to borrow in the August approach, by winter considerably became stronger, and now their elimination will demand considerably big forces and time. And the artillery of VSU won't stay idle, having continued attacks of the cities. The standard justification of the Ukrainian party that exclusively those areas are exposed to attack, from where fires artillery of "separatists", doesn't maintain criticism: from artillery attacks inhabitants of the areas removed from the next military positions on many kilometers regularly perish.

The truce was from the very beginning considered as deadborn by both parties. "Now our military already have systems of counterbattery fight, countermortar fight, sniper rifles, they are well trained, and efficiency of actions of the Ukrainian military 10 times more. Here so we use this truce" — the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko proclaimed during transfer to troops of military equipment on January 5, 2015.

On the same day the characteristic statement was published in Facebook by the Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov where the following is among other things told:

"Don't rush in approach and don't demand actions — aren't ready to win yet and there are no forces for productive action. Make yourself stronger, more powerful, including — alas and ah — lulling "dog"... As will collect force — act without asking!

Such is now way of Ukraine — to fasten, not to be given, collect force. And the moment — with power of the finishing squeezed spring will come — to demolish all evil spirits from the country and to win!".

In this way also other Ukrainian functionaries so special doubts in the subsequent events didn't remain spoke. The question was only one: when?


The reasons to come, without coming

Growth of activity of the Ukrainian army in a zone of military operations is caused by a variety of reasons right now. And first of all — a foreign policy situation. Positions of the parties in negotiation process on settlement of the conflict don't manage to be pulled together that threatens with failure of the meeting planned for January 15 in Astana. In these conditions military operations can be given Kiev to the western allies as reaction to provocations from "separatists" and "the Russian troops" and to form the basis for the next strengthening of pressure upon Moscow from the West with the purpose to force Russian government to a compromise on the necessary conditions.

The internal political situation also doesn't leave a special choice: to keep in the winter army in inaction on positions against announcements of rearmament and need "to demolish evil spirits" means for the Kiev administration to risk by spring the next Maidan, this time much more radical and seriously armed, with armored machinery and artillery.

The third factor inducing the Ukrainian security officers to activization — events of the last weeks in the national republics where process of consolidation of the military management proceeds. One of the loudest — death on January 1, 2015 Alexander Bednov (Batman), one of the most popular commanders of LNR. According to the official version sounded by the State Office of Public Prosecutor of LNR it was killed in attempt of detention during which showed armed resistance. Earlier against Bednov charge of stealing and tortures was brought.

Opponents of this version declared that nobody tried to detain Bednov — actually he and his bodyguards were destroyed by the concentrated fire from an ambush. "Customer" called the head of LNR Igor Plotnitsky, and disagreements between Bednov and Plotnitsky of rather further political policy became the reason.

The fierce dispute which inflamed after that incident both in Russia, and in the national republics could be interpreted by the Ukrainian management as a sign of loss of unity at the opponent and an opportunity for a military strike.

Nevertheless, despite existence of the powerful reasons for activization of military operations, chances of Kiev of success are small: approach in the southeast of Ukraine in winter conditions is possible only on roads both along them and taking into account the defensive positions equipped on routes demands a considerable superiority in strength which the Ukrainian security officers have no more. Approach in much more favorable summer conditions and at an overwhelming superiority in strength ended as a result with accident in August, 2014.

In the presence of the president Poroshenko and other heads a little that change loud ceremonies of transfer of VS of Ukraine of new equipment: on full re-equipment of army single expenses of several billion dollars, difficult achievable even are necessary for Ukraine at increase in the military budget. In the conditions of corruption and the free address with state means re-equipment of army often turns into transfer to troops of old equipment with the minimum renovation, a little suitable for real military operations.

Kiev could solve this problem, having made additional efforts for several more months, however there is so much time at the Ukrainian management as it was already told above, no. As a result it is possible to call activization of security officers compelled — a question how far it will come.

Anyway, the opinion of Moscow already sounded: Sergey Lavrov called possible renewal of military operations accident (without having specified thus, for whom exactly), having at the same time emphasized that Moscow isn't going to discuss conditions of removal of sanctions. The ball left on the western half of a field.

Generally, to remove all these questions — it is necessary to communicate with rebels more.

In many respects still it is necessary to understand it is careful and grateful. They after all in the war were born not at once — they had parents, there was a childhood, someone brought up them — it everything not casually, the truth?


Something has to important happen to the person if he leaves the such wonderful peace life and goes there where he can daily be killed.

I was lucky to see and know kind one hundred volunteers who are at war in Donbass, but my interlocutor — Rinat Esenaliyev — in some sense as it seems to me, it is indicative.

It local, but not the Ukrainian — such is a lot of. It young — and are at war today, in the majority, young. It in a militia almost from the very beginning. And long time I was in the most hot spots: the last (but not the first) Rinat got wound at the Donetsk airport. Those who watch reports from fronts any, understand that such the airport.

- I grew up in the area, normal for the boy, with reputation of the worst, on Petrovka. Well, and about unitary enterprise began to dig out of curiosity. Textbooks told one: heroes, liberators - and my environment from adults - absolutely another. And suddenly I am deceived by fathers, mothers and aunts? Suddenly is indeed there were fighters for freedom and justice, but not bloody Banderovites?

I communicated to veterans, I asked opinion of familiar Poles. I asked the corresponding literature for local historians... Generally, already then it became clear to me for what in the Western Ukraine create such heroes. And as easily they were bought on historical openings! They always shouted: Bander too I was in camps at Germans! Bander I signed nothing with Germans! They battled as lions against all!

I remember, then Kalashikov's book - "Ukraine fell into hands: crash of the project" - then it seemed to me strongly ukrainofobsky: yes, I thought, at us is in the country of disagreement, but not everything is so bad what can be war?

But my views already then "shifted to the Left" - and definitely not because of literature. All this modern elite was unclear, the intellectuals seemed others: all of them found fault with the Soviet Union, many became masked monarchists. Perhaps in my case influence of companion Chernyshevsky affected, but I then already thought that in the XIX century were not only balls, a gusarstvo and Natasha Rostova.

And that they so hate the USSR: I lived near once the most powerful house-building combine which was plundered and closed in the 90th. Mother told me how she for the mediocre salary visited all Union in backpackings. The trainer spoke about unreal development of sport in those days. And the father felt nostalgic everything for plant. And all region of alcoholics and gloomy hard workers consisted of once cheerful and quite dear proletarians. Well and all these stories happened against corruption of the ninetieth and "zero" - in which I lived.


"Joint venture": - The policy interested you?

- Yes who penetrates into it plainly at such age. You watch some plots for a moment on TV, that's all: same directly doesn't concern you. Well, one Maidan, well, elections, well, Yushchenko, well, Yanukovych. My opinion on all this didn't differ from opinion of the average resident of my city. However, the trainer, - my spiritual mentor at that time, - was the person rigid, old semi-criminal concepts. He hated all the akhmetovykh, yanukovichy, all their suite. I said that they have no concepts at all.

Actually, I was convinced of it, working at that horse-racing base where also the residence of one deputy - Dmitry Chertkov was placed, by nickname Fig. I there the security guard was. The reputation of the Devil was known to each inhabitant of Petrovka. But after all, when I, the loser athlete, played goal at him, I the eyes had to see how the head of the same Petrovsky area shivers, stammers and listens to all abusive stream from Chertkov's lips. - I worked as the loader at a fruit warehouse. I thought about the Maidan: will manage. In March I found the beginning of protests in Odessa: I there in absentia studied and on session arrived. When say to me that Odessa made the choice - I simply send these people. Because saw who went to these Ukrainian marches.

I tell: in Odessa there is couple of very good higher education institutions to which goes to study youth from Western and, even more often, from the Central Ukraine. They also created all heavy action. Plus visiting guest performers: hunveybina and pure Hitler Youth, only the Ukrainian ferment! Without them anywhere.

Hardly I constrained myself when their processions took place directly under my balcony in Frantsuzsky Boulevard. Having already come back home, I saw on the Internet as our boys dispersed supporters of the Maidan. Then still any flag of DNR it was visible not.

Notice a difference in cruelty. At Donetsk punishment when ours was more, and only their two buses — at them one person was lost. I don't tell "only one" - and one — much, but could be worse. People didn't allow to kill guest performers to death, lifted, shook off and released.

In these parts only businessmen supported the Maidan. Yanyk went simply crazy by then: I imposed all businessmen with rigid taxes, Sbushniki carried out function of extortioners: they really had the base of payers, it was impossible to come off. Why to them so much money was necessary - I can't still understand!

It, by the way, the strongest argument in dispute with people from Donbass when speak to them: "What do you complain when in Rada the most part was from Donetsk? How you nobody heard it?"

That truth that truth. Many on lips had this ill-fated phrase: "Yes, bandits, but though the". Only they for the didn't consider us.

I know that Akhmetov constructed "Donbass Arena". And Chertkov - park on Petrovka. And Kolesnikov - hockey club "Donbass" created. But it everything was similar to system of a carrot and stick. And whips was much more. And only when already the patience came to an end - there was that gingerbread in the form of parks, stadiums and other. Tell me why they didn't update the equipment on mines? New workplaces didn't create? No, it was better than the new football player to buy them, or a horse.

Speak, one of ministers — Klimenko - too was from a Donetsk clan. I at Klimenko with the father on Concha to Zaspa in Kiev am a region of mansions, - the house built also church for poshes - so to speak, own. This Klimenko in one of dachas had a gold shovel and a figurine from precious metal - in the form of him, darling. For this reason some in Donetsk were delighted to the Maidan in Kiev. Even my trainer. He thought that there will arrive honest children from Kiev and smenut Rinat, Yanyk, and everything will be according to Hoyle. But I couldn't accept the Maidan. It was visible, with what flags they on these Maydana leave and what chants shout and who stands behind them, too it was clear. The same oligarchs, as here — what difference?


"Joint venture": - What became the final reason that you went in rebels?

- As well as affected many on May 2. I knew hundreds of real morons from Donetsk. But I will never believe that they so could rage and so be proud of the same nightmare that these arranged in Odessa. It beats my time! Girls, the doing cocktails and the girls who are indifferently looking at burned people — I think, at many it sat down at memory. And when stopped the fire truck there, you remember? And there is a wish to shout at full blast: how?!? How they were able to do it? Here any arguments don't help.

You know if together with us the Western and the Central Ukraine was terrified and they would accuse themselves for search — however, it seems to me that everything could be rumpled.

But about this case all media persons kept silent! Where this crappy Vakurchuk, the singer from "Ocean Elzi" which talked about unity to Donetsk students? Where it got to at once? And Mikholok, interestingly, strongly was proud of "Daybreakers" and this time?

All pretended that it wasn't: same not "heavenly one hundred"!

In Donetsk then the wave began. People had an example of the Crimea and that a sin to conceal - many hoped for the same option. And who didn't hope - simply understood with whom he lived in one country these more than twenty years.

When fights in Slavyansk went at full speed - there was very important point: absolute majority of the local took the risen.

I understood that my time came when I couldn't sleep at night any more. And all arguments ended — that it is fratricidal war! - or: we only puppets! - or: to kill the person - a terrible sin! All this so - but my fellow countrymen people which, apparently, these arguments didn't even consider killed, everything is clear to them. At them any doubts: "Glory to Ukraine, death to voroga!"


"Joint venture": - Told parents?

- I told nothing: I knew that won't let. What normal parents will let? I left a note: "I went to a militia, to Slavyansk I won't go, I will be in Donetsk, I will call in 2 days when you calm down". In two days they calmed down, and I called them. They, let not at once, but understood everything.

To "Don YEAH" I was 3 days. I met one commander there - he was the Chechen half. I talked to it. He spoke: you will go to us?

Here so I appeared in a militia.

... something at me any rhetoric - it seems, I such all correct and I am not guilty, lusciously somehow sounds. But, damn, it is the truth.


"Joint venture": - I too so think. What there was farther?

- From the middle of May until the end of June I was in division which was based in Donetsk. Mansour was the commander. I ran across native Donetsk with the machine gun with two horns and in a jumpsuit - there was neither form, nor boneless. Though trained there not bad.

Then I got over to Ilovaysk. There were boys who left Slavyansk — with discipline at them affairs not really first were... But then there Givi became the main thing, and everything was adjusted at once.

Us in a company there were no more than hundred people. Well, and we were those who, actually, this city held. Chronology of fights everything, watching a situation, know.

Later we already became the battalion "Somalia" in which I also was until recently.


"Joint venture": - At you, I know, there were some wounds. How and when you received them?

- Not really pleasantly to speak about it, I was already reproached in this respect — type, there was a hero. I somehow on the stupidity gave interview - then much because of it listened. Really, such as I — it is full. But time was asked, I will tell now as the ships plow the Bolshoi theater.

Well, I have four wounds. The first was in Ilovaysk, I then for the first time worked from RPG. The fool was - words aren't present. Then someone told me that usual fragmental carrot on RPG is the terrible burning shell. Well, I also believed. We held the bridge. And when the armored personnel carrier - I went to us and shot. But it, naturally, only for a second stopped and again went. Then I took in hand термобар and went on the same position, boys me as they told then, even crossed: thought that this suicide. And I if it is honest, from an adrenaline splash didn't even understand that it is impossible to shoot two times from the same position, but there the route was — other position and not to find. Generally, I lupanut nicely, for two hours their attack I detained. Right after the shot I heard a sound of their PKVT. The boy who, so to speak, covered me, seriously wounded in a bum, and I myself feel - it seems all only on a tangent: they explosive worked, at the holes in clothes then looked and was surprised - a lot of things passed simply in millimeters from a body. Well, serious in a hurry on myself I didn't notice anything.

In the first day of serious fights - hot was, in a day, probably, shots I from the shaitan pipe made twenty. Contused slightly after operation of tanks. Those days for the first time on my hands the rebel was lost, he local was, two children at him remained. But then one of splinters in a breast at me decayed, - I with it ran three days, - and to me it in Hartsyzsk got.

Got - I at once back. Already the second storm prepared. We held a post "Church". At the end of day we already at this intersection were suppressed from all four parties. We had ten people of "three-hundredth", wounded were taken out with fight. Very well the commander of a platoon Kissel proved. Be for that time I the senior - perhaps, and I strukhnut.

Of course, I remember the moment as Bright from the motorolovskikh there was to us on the block a post with Novorossiya's flag. Probably, - one of the happiest moments in my life. You represent is you won not money, not with the beautiful little girl overslept and didn't even take very important boxing tournament. It something bigger: ours came.

Well and when the motorolovsky continued cleaning and began to surround having stolen, their assault group again went to our post. I as always with RPG cleaned brilliant green. And me arrived from AGS a back...

After there was a Donetsk airport and at storm of the new terminal to me either a machine gun or something sniper in a shoulder worked, meat snatched nearly about a fist. And, a bough, hit directly my injured shoulder.

But the airport is in general the meat grinder. And all their stories about kiborog touch. Their losses it was exact not less, than at us. But they needed to be rehabilitated somehow after Ilovaysk. After the last wound it is already more than two months on "bolnichka". When pulled out a splinter from a foot - touched a nerve, it is long restored, now especially you won't run about. Many of close friends now disabled people.

To me it is very important that affairs of wounded didn't wallow in bureaucracy now. It military IDs and certificates now started appearing. And what to do to boys who else right at the beginning left on wound on the citizen? As if it didn't turn out then that you will prove a horse-radish that you were at war.


"Joint venture": - After each wound you came back to a system. Besides, on a front line - "on a front" as at you speak. What forced it to do you?

- Itself I don't know why. So the destiny developed. Nobody grabbed me hand and didn't speak: Rinat Sansizbayevich, we ask: become the minister of DNR. And I to them - No, only "on a front".

If the destiny pushed me that I hit the bum — means, so it was necessary. In general, comparison with people of Patriotic war always helped. Now I understand that we don't cost their nail. They were stronger.

Though this war gave me hope that there will be at least one big personality who in the future everything will be able to change here.

The Starobeshevsky area — one of the few in DNR, whose territory at the end of summer was completely cleared of the Ukrainian invaders.

Moscow, Jan 12 (Prensa Latina) Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said today in a press conference along with his counterpart from Latvia, Edgar Rinkevics, that Russia has information about plans to try impose a violent solution to the couflict in southeastern Ukraine (Donbass). Lavrov said that according to available data, Kiev plans to mobilize 50,000-200,000 forces and stressed that Moscow is verifying those informations he described as very alarming.

If they are confirmed, it would be a catastrophe, said Lavrov, adding that for that reason, Moscow is for reaching as soon as possible a permanent, final, unconditional ceasefire in the region of Donbass.

"The resumption of hostilities worries us a lot," he insisted.

He said that for the time being none of the negotiation plans to find peace has been successful.

Lavrov's remarks come in the wake of an injection of millions of USD by Kiev to reactivate the production of armored vehicles, missiles and the modernization of its fighter planes and visits by President Petrio Poroshenko to the plants where these war items are being made.

“I have received a letter from an International Criminal Court prosecutor that our statement has been received and communications started on investigation of crimes against humanity committed by Ukrainian officials,” lawyer Igor Trunov, who chairs the Moscow Red Cross office, told TASS.

Trunov explained that earlier, a special commission of the Moscow Red Cross collected evidence of military crimes: murders, extermination, enslavement, bombings of inhabited localities, exposure to hunger committed against civilians, persecution for political, racial or religious motives, torture of captives and other crimes in the International Criminal Court’s jurisdiction.

It has been since WWII. It is basically known who attacked who. It is basically known who Nazi Germany was, who Hitler was. So for someone to say the opposite...I think it is something that they may have had in the back of their mind that just kind of slipped out the wrong way.

RT: Why do you think Berlin at the time did not put the record straight? Were they just being diplomatic?

AP: Well yes! You see, Germany is in a very awkward position, because Yatsenyuk is their ally. More than that, he is a project of the West, not just of Germany of course. And it is kind of embarrassing, now you have Yatsenyuk pretty much whitewashing Nazi Germany. And it is not a very well-kept secret anymore that in the past year since Yatsenyuk and company have been in power in Ukraine, you had a real resurgence of neo-Nazism in Ukraine. RT: This confusion came when Yatsenyuk was on an official visit to Berlin. Do you think it had any effect on the talks between he and Merkel?

AP: It surely must have, because I don't think Angela Merkel was very happy with what Yatsenuk had to say. And I think you could see that, because the next day he went back on his comments, supposedly clarifying it. I’m sure that was the result of discussions he had with his German hosts, because this is kind of an awkward statement to make. And I think German public opinion does not stand for that kind of a revisionist stance of WWII.

RT: Merkel didn’t react to this gaffe; however, she reiterated that sanctions on Russia will only be lifted when, as she put it, the Minsk peace plan is fully applied. Why don’t we see similar pressure from Berlin on Kiev? Do you think this has happened behind closed doors? It did not happened publicly.

PA: No. But you see, this is not a new tactic. Ever since the 90s, we had former Yugoslavia, we had Iraq, we had Syria – all these declared enemies of various Western states. They are always put in a position where they have to produce something over which they have no control, or don’t have full control.

It is a very perfidious sort of a game. So you put pressure on somebody to do something, even though they can't really control the process. So they are doing the same thing to Russia right now, as you've said. Russia can’t control what Ukraine does. And so Russia can be totally following the letter and the law of the Minsk agreement, but you have violations on the Ukrainian side, so sanctions on Russia continue. As I said, it is not a new methodology.

Sometime over the last day the anti-fascist website of novorussia has been taken down. It's probably temporary. I assume the freedom fighters of the republics of Donetsk and Lughansk are hard pressed in fending off the us/nato/eu backed junta in kiev. A couple of days ago the google auto translate service for the site disappeared. There are plenty of alternatives that are less allied with the nsa so that's no loss. The last news I did read was quite disturbing. It appears the junta (using drones, infrared viewers and new weaponry supplied by its backers have unleashed death squads that appear highly mobile and self contained, making incursions into the republics (DPR, LPR) territories, combined with massive artillery and sniping. Until news appear again from the republics one can only wait and hope, wishing the defenders well. Wishing them staunch courage and all future anti fascists must learn lessons from this. If the junta consolidates its dictatorship, sooner or later its current allies must contend with their own homegrown brown wave.which, of course, would then have have ready armed and battle trained allies in kiev.

DONETSK, January 15. /TASS/. Ukrainian Armed Forces have pulled their units out of the airport of the much-troubled eastern city of Donetsk although separate army groupings remain deployed in its vicinity, the press service of the Defence Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic said on Wednesday.

“We’re granting an opportunity to soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to leave the airport and the areas adjoining it in order to prevent more unnecessary victims in their ranks,” a spokesman for the ministry said. “No one is going to shoot them in the back.”

Denis Pushilin, the Donetsk Republic’s plenipotentiary representative in the Contact Group for settling the armed civil conflict in eastern Ukraine, said the self-defence forces had opened up a corridor to the Ukrainian military’s withdrawal from the Donetsk airport.

“This doesn’t mean we’re forcing the troops out of the airport in any way because that’s a gesture of good will on our part,” he said.

“We’re doing everything in our power to preserve the lives of the Ukrainian military people since we don’t want any victims among them,” Pushilin said.
