If the Dems run on that list it will be great.

IMO:  The Democratic Party (especially the Clintonians) hasn't been especially anti-oligarchy pro-labor.

Bill,

Two words.  Robert Reich.  Reich was Bill Clinton's Secretary of Labor.

I know what you're getting at with the NAFTA thing, but we all know which modern era political party has been the anti-labor (right-to-work) party focused on cutting taxes for billionaires and "Starving the Beastly" proletariats.

W - I follow Reich, he is one of the good ones, but didn't Clinton follow the recommendations of his economic team - including Alan Greenspan, the Reagan-appointed chair of the Fed who Clinton reappointed - over Reich's policy recommendations?

I've also seen or  read  an interview with Reich where Reich said that when he went to Clinton with policy proposals Clintons response was 'Don't you understand we are Eisenhower Republicans?'

Anyway my ideal long-shot-never-gonna-happen Dem presidential ticket would have been Reich & Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.  Two people with integrity w either one as the President.

Whew! Really? Eisenhower? It's hard for me to  imagine Clinton not bs'ing himself about that!

I do remember Reich saying something to that effect. He did sort of phase Reich out. Before him, it was the only 12 year period of Republican rule in the post war era. Then he lost all of his nerve when the Newt Gingrich Republican sweep happened.

But if we're including celebrities and sports stars on a Democratic ticket, Bill.  I might have, at one time  put forward Al Franken and Bill Walton, bless his positive soul, RIP!

In the next phase, we'll  need people who had the courage for serious ego death!

And the Dead at the Inaugural Ball!

Inspirational talk in 2020!

And speak of a meeting of the devils!

Bill interviewing Kareem! I like his lead question!

heh heh heh

Al Franken

I think that Franken might actually have run if things had worked out differently.

Harris is going to beat Trump.

So the Trump cabal will now shift their focus to ways they can steal the election.

"Vice President Kamala Harris has obliterated former President Donald Trump’s lead in seven key battleground states in the days since becoming the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, according to a new poll. The Bloomberg News/Morning Consult survey, published Tuesday, shows 48 percent of likely voters backing Harris as compared to Trump’s 47, a “statistical dead heat,” according to Bloomberg. The poll, in which 4,873 registered voters were queried last week, shows Harris opening up an 11-point lead over her rival in Michigan, with further two-point leads in Nevada, Arizona, and Wisconsin. In Pennsylvania, Trump leads Harris by four points, and he still edges her out by two points in North Carolina. The pair were tied in Georgia, both polling at 47 percent."

- Jesse Watters, famous Fox News bobblehead -

Now, I don't see why any man would vote Democrat," said Watters, who just a week previously was schooled for trying to claim Harris didn't earn her position of power. "It's not the party of virtue, security, it's not the party of strength, it's definitely not the party of family. And to be a man, and then vote for a woman, just because she's a woman, is either childish, that person has Mommy issues, or they're just trying to be accepted by other women. And I heard the scientists say the other day, that when a man votes for a woman, he actually transitions into a woman."

ISW is the gold standard account for getting the lowdown on the Ukraine War.

This was posted in the last hour. Russia is donezo. They can't win this war, and at this point will do almost anything to end it. They aren't going to make it to the election.
