David Ferrie's voice for the first time!

Finally had a minute to find what I was talking about. Here is the "birds" excerpt from a transcript of an interview with Ferrie from 12/15/66 in the NODA's office with John Volz:

I also found this list of Garrison materials provided to the ARRB by Harry Connick. Number 20 is an envelope containing a 3" tape labeled "D. Ferrie interview".

I have no idea if it's the same interview, but the point is that Garrison did record Ferrie, and at least one tape of Ferrie's voice should be available somewhere at NARA.
