Interesting material, Bart. Is there any evidence that the concerns of "the undersigned" (whomever it might be) were addressed? I think many good points were raised.

"...why would a conspirator get Kennedy to autograph his poster before playing a part in killing him? " Mark David Chapman might have the answer to this kind of question. -
Was E. Howard Hunt's "Big Event" Confession A Hoax?
Mark Knight replied to Joe Bauer's topic in JFK Assassination Debate
I have often thought that Chappaquiddick was Ted Kennedy's "assassination," the big play that kept him out of the White House. [I never said Ted would ever have been as popular as JFK or Bobby.] My personal supposition was that Ted wasn't driving the car; instead, he was lying dead drunk somewhere and only learned of Miss Kopechne's death after the fact. But since the evidence was overwhelmingly incriminating, Ted had to concoct a story that made it look as though he tried to be heroic but failed, rather than tell the truth that he was so blitzed he never really knew what truly happened. That's simply a theory...and from what was reported later out of the Nixon White House, it wouldn't surprise me if it was true. -

How did you vote for LBJ at 17? The Voting age wasn't dropped from 21 to 18 until just before the 1972 election. At which point voting at age 17 would still be illegal. Yet you claim to have done so in 1964. Some details or corroborating evidence would be nice. -

Dale Earnhardt died in the 2001 Daytona 500. Privacy laws kept his autopsy private. -
" Lipsey says, after a minute or two of explaining how the bullet fragments recovered from the President's brain matched the shell casings found on the 6th floor of the Texas School Book Depository Building and the doctors agreed that JFK was hit by two bullets from behind that "there is no question Lee Harvey Oswald is the lone assassin." " Exactly how are "bullet fragments" matched to "shell casings"? Unless the " fragments" are large enough, and undamaged enough, to determine the caliber of the bullet, there is no way to "match" a particular bullet to a particular casing. Casings are crimped at the base of the bullet, but there is no "signature" mark that a casing leaves on a bullet, to the exclusion of other casings of the same caliber. So I call BS right there.

Oh, I think there were a lot of separate groups involved in the JFK assassination. But I believe they all operated separately. Call it a "perfect storm," if you will. Suspect groups are, in no particular order: *Mafia *Pro-Castro Cubans *Anti-Castro Cubans *CIA, or certain factions thereof *John Birch Society *right-wing nut jobs NOT affiliated with the JBS. Once JFK was dead, as Gerry Hemming used to post, it mattered less WHO did it, to those who wanted him dead. If one of the other factions did it, the Mafia people assigned/contracted to do the hit are certainly NOT going to say they DIDN'T do it and turn down the money for the hit. Same with the other groups. They're not going to say anything publicly, for obvious reasons. But they were assigned the hit, and the target wound up dead. So surely those who were assigned the hit, truly or falsely took credit for doing the deed. If there was money involved, they took the payoff whether they pulled the trigger or not. JFK was dead, Ozzie was posthumously "convicted" by the Warren Commission, and no one would be the wiser. Except those damned conspiracy folks won't let the case die.

Anyone have access to a 1963 city directory for Dallas? Might find Rodriguez's address there, especially if the phone numbers are the same. That would take care of the Huspeth/Elsbeth question.

I think that would be a reasonable conclusion as well. -
Who changed the motorcade route?
Mark Knight replied to Paz Marverde's topic in JFK Assassination Debate
I would call that a reasonable conclusion. The dog-leg was clearly spelled out in some reports, and was glossed over in others. One might deduce the necessity of the dog-leg based upon the presence of buses in the motorcade, but it wasn't clearly spelled out in all reports. So I have my doubts that the route was actually changed. More likely it was simply poorly reported. -

Mr. Trejo, I have NEVER posted under the name of Michael Clark. So please retract your FALSE STATEMENT that I posted any video series on this thread, or I will petition the other administrators to BAN your falsehoods from this forum...permanently. The ball's in your court, Mr. Trejo...and the clock is ticking. [Begin new post here:] As I promised, I have filed a report with the other forum administrators regarding Mr. Trejo's blatant abuse of the truth and particularly his blatant falsehoods regarding my authorship of certain posts on this thread. The truth is plain. It's right here on this thread. But Mr. Trejo apparently has no interest in truth. Instead, he falsely accused me of making posts under the name of another forum member. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, MR. TREJO. THE GLOVES ARE OFF NOW. -

I believe it was YOU, not I, who brought RFK into this thread. Your post from 8:13 PM Monday, to refresh your memory. Or DID YOU FORGET THAT? Your post hasn't been deleted... So YOU decide who brought up RFK. [HINT: IT WASN'T ME...so don't even TRY to cast the blame on me again, Mr. Trejo. I resent your attempt to blame me for YOUR change of direction in this thread.] -

Sirhan and his gun remained in front of RFK. The fatal head wound came from behind, into the right mastoid process. So show me how that's possible with Sirhan's gun in front of RFK the entire time. -
Who changed the motorcade route?
Mark Knight replied to Paz Marverde's topic in JFK Assassination Debate
The Linotype machine made its debut in the 1880's. Hand- setting type was long gone by the 1950's. I'm surprised you wouldn't have researched that. But maybe I shouldn't be, since it's not mentioned in the WC report or in Bugliosi's book. Perhaps that's why you haven't discovered the fact that the Linotype was already on its way out in the 1970s. It's OK to look outside the WC and Bugliosi for background, Mr. Von Pein. Truly it is. There is reliable information out there that is NOT covered by Vince or the WC. HONEST. -
Who changed the motorcade route?
Mark Knight replied to Paz Marverde's topic in JFK Assassination Debate
In the 1960's it wasn't unusual for major city newspapers to publish several editions each day. I took journalism classes under a Prof who was also an editor at the (now-defunct) Louisville Times. Geno Williams, Indiana editor, mentioned several editions daily. The first was (obviously) the Early Edition, then came the Indiana Edition, and while there may have been one more for the metro suburbs, the last was called the Final Home Edition and was sold only in the city. So I'm not at all surprised by different editions having slightly different content. The edition sans parade route may have been targeted to subscribers outside the area most convenient for accessing the parade route. Which also brings up the point that Oswald may not have seen the parade route in the newspaper...depending upon which edition he may have read. -

"Bubble Top' - was it bullet proof?
Mark Knight replied to Mervyn Hagger's topic in JFK Assassination Debate
Paul, I'd rather not assume anything. Would the bubbletop have distorted an assassins's view? Maybe, and maybe not. Certainly the potential for distortion exists in every bend in the Plexiglas. But trying to determine whether the use of the bubbletop might have aborted an assassination attempt is akin to attempting to nail Jell-O to the wall. (If the Jell-O has an excess of gelatin in the mix, making it the consistency of ballistic gelatin, then even nailing it to the wall MIGHT be possible.) We simply don't have sufficient information to make that assumption. -
"Bubble Top' - was it bullet proof?
Mark Knight replied to Mervyn Hagger's topic in JFK Assassination Debate
How a bullet responds when striking an object such as Plexiglas depends quite a bit on the bullet. Mass. Velocity. Bullet composition and jacketing on the bullet. Type of point: round nose, pointed nose, hollow point. A round nose solid lead bullet would react differently upon striking Plexiglas than a jacketed hollow point. A 240 grain .44 caliber bullet would react differently than a 40 grain .223 caliber bullet. To decide whether the bubbletop would or would not have deflected "that bullet" fired at "that angle" without performing an actual test is worthless speculation, IMHO... and since no testing was done [and why would they? JFK was already dead, so "woulda-coulda-shoulda" saves ZERO lives], no conclusions can be drawn. -
Who changed the motorcade route?
Mark Knight replied to Paz Marverde's topic in JFK Assassination Debate
Ron, that sounds quite reasonable. You don't route the President of the United States through the "rougher" parts of a city if there is an alternative route, IMHO. Every city wants the President to see their best side, not their worst. Basic human vanity at play here more than anything sinister, IMHO. YES, I fully understand that this point of view like the legs out from under the point of view that "the plotters" put Oswald "in place" at the TSBD specifically to kill Kennedy. So be it. -
Once again, Mr. Walton drags me into his fantasy...the one in which I believe in body snatchers. I have NEVER subscribed to such a theory. But that little fact doesn't stand in the way of Mr. Walton's fantasy. Truth is powerful. I would advise Mr. Walton to stick to the truth, rather that projecting me into his straw-man fantasies.

Absolutely.

That, my friend, is a great question. I'd love to see a legitimate answer.
