  1. Gil: He is aware of those matters. But it does not matter. He all but ignores the differences between LBJ and JFK on Vietnam which go back to the siege of Dien Bien Phu in 1954, and the use of combat troops in 1961. Then, he uses a picture of Wheeler leaning over a desk in front of LBJ during a conference to somehow articulate a conspiratorial angle to the JCS. I have rarely read a more agenda driven, solipsistic book. I think one has to go back to the heyday of Lamar Waldron with his whole C day invasion/Mob did it scheme to find any kid of comparison.
  2. I paid 90 bucks for this two volume set that clocks in at over 1000 pages. To put it mildly, it was not worth the money or the time to read it. Because its so long, the review is in two parts. The first is about his spin on the medical side, and the second is his case against Johnson and his co-conspirator. I mean Sam Rayburn was a plotter? The guy died two years before JFK was killed! You will double over when you read the motive. Because it says it had utterly nothing to do with any of JFK's policies. Further, it did not matter who was nominated that year, they would have been knocked off also. And wait until you read what he does with his footnotes. As per the medical aspect, although the author despises David Lifton, he actually outdoes Lifton's body switching scheme. The body was switched at Parkland and Jackie knew it. https://www.kennedysandking.com/john-f-kennedy-articles/under-cover-of-night-by-sean-fetter
  3. Blakey I think was really chagrined about two things that he fell for as chief counsel: 1. Guinn's "junk science" about the NAA testing which has been exposed today as being completely unreliable by two separate teams. 2. How the CIA lied to him about Joannides not being involved in the JFK case in 1963. Those are two strikes against his inquiry. Ben: he sounded seriously ill to you? The last time I saw him he needed a cane to get around with.
  4. I should have mentioned this in my review. In all fairness to the program, they did seem to have some effect on Blakey. He said a couple of things that I did not recall him saying before. First, he said that the JFK murder set up Oswald as a false flag creation. Secondly, he said that Harvey likely worked with Roselli on the hit plan. If one combines that with what he said previously about the Cuban exile Diaz Garcia, what he has come to now is a CIA/Mob/Cuban exile conspiracy. Which is a big improvement over what he thought back in 1979. So congrats to Rob for that.
  5. That is probably correct about Meacham Sandy. But, I think he sacrificed something there. To be perfectly honest, I am not so sure that Reiner disagreed with him. When I was meeting with that group, Rob would say, "Let's not get into the weeds." But Rob, sometimes that is where the facts are.
  6. Here is the final review of Part 10 plus two extra segments, one on the still classified files and an interview with Landis. I tried to be kind to him at the end. I think his heart was in the right place. https://jamesanthonydieugenio.substack.com/p/rob-reiners-who-killed-jfk-pt-4
  7. I just listened to the last three parts. Charles W was the man behind the assassination? I guess DIck Russell never got over that anonymous note he got when working at The Village Voice. And Bill Harvey? From Rome? Astonishingly they brought back Plumlee again. And Ralph Mowatt Larsen without saying he thinks Oswald did it. More on this tomorrow. Sheesh.
  8. I read the book and I don't see how Mantik retreated from his previous positions. I don't think I missed anything. BTW, the book is really selling well. I do not recall any recent book in the field selling like this one. Because of Corsi's connections with rightwing media.
  9. Here is Part 3 which takes us to the actual assassination, plus the death of Ruby. Again, its quite a mixed bag. No mention of Jolly West. And man, first Tosh Plumlee and now Curington? There are some good parts, like the ending quoting DeGaulle. https://substack.com/home/post/p-143763031?source=queue
  10. She also did a pretty crappy podcast on Mary Meyer. And you are correct, she did kind of play the willing student to Reiner's teacher. As per info, I thought she added zero. Except, she did say her mother resented Kennedy over the Missile Crisis, I think. Evidently she is Cuban.
  11. I agree with that Nathaniel. What Kennedy was doing in the fifties, leading up to the great Algeria Speech, was really kind of revolutionary. And the Establishment wants us to forget about that. But its really important. I will never understand why they recruited Jon Meacham as their historian. Of course I really do not understand why he reached out to Soledad O'Brien either. If you recall, when she worked for CNN she did an MLK cover up show.
  12. Here is Part 2, this includes a review of Parts 4-6. Again, its still free and it links directly to the article. At the end, I take note that it surprising to me that in their discussion of New Orleans, there is 1.) No mention of David Phillips and 2.) No mention of 544 Camp Street. Concerning the latter, not that Oswald was there, but they don't even talk about the fact that he put that address on some of his literature! That was really weird, especially in relation to some of the tenuous stuff they did include. And although they make a big deal over Northwoods, I did not detect any mention of the records of the May, 1963 Sec/Def conference in Hawaii, where its made clear that Kennedy has instructed McNamara that he is getting out of Vietnam. Third, in their review of Oswald and his possible connection to the CIA, although they include that very tenuous stuff about Hartogs--which I would not have-- there was no mention of Betsy Wolf from the HSCA, who first discovered the paradoxes in the Oswald file and talked to a few CIA officials about it. All in all so far a decidedly mixed bag. https://substack.com/home/post/p-143698630?source=queue
  13. So far, its a decidedly mixed bag through the first three parts. I have finished part 2 of the review--parts 4-6-- and it will be going up tomorrow. I was very surprised that there were no recreations, which are easy to do for radio. And up to part 6, there is no discussion of JFK leaving Vietnam. My substack is still free so you can read it for nothing. The link goes directly to the article. https://substack.com/home/post/p-143648888?source=queue
  14. Thanks Steve, I agree whole heartedly. That percentage was really stunning. Its not just us, its everyone. Its Jungian.
  15. I posted that at Twitter. In got 30,000 impressions in one day. That is one of the highest numbers I ever got on my account there. Whew.
  16. This is my latest interview about the book The JFK Assassination Chokeholds, plus the fate of the last classified records on the case still being withheld. Andrew Eiler wrote about that in the book so that is why it was brought up, in fact the book is the only one I know that deals with the latest info on the topic. I thought the interview turned out well, and Bruce put it on Rumble, so it will not be suppressed. Its a good one. https://rumble.com/v4ps0ei-reality-with-bruce-de-torres-11.-james-dieugenio.html
  17. I agree Tom, this Down guy has really come out of the closet of late. Another WC zealot. Why was Tippit at the GLOCO for minutes on end watching the viaduct? Why did he pull over Andrews and look in the back of the car? Why did he have to make that call at the record store and then run out? How does one explain the behavior of Nelson if he was replying to the same order, which he was supposed to be doing? And how does one explain Mentzel? I wonder, who many wallets does Mr. Down carry? Oswald had five, including one at the scene of tenth and Patton. Which had to be deep sixed because he had another one on his person.
  18. There WAS a dispute between Kennedy, the Fed and Wall Street. One of the best books ever written about Kennedy illustrates this, Battling Wall Street by Don Gibson. Kennedy's agent against them was James Saxon. https://www.kennedysandking.com/john-f-kennedy-articles/james-saxon-and-john-kennedy-vs-wall-street
  19. Morrow contributed to Sean Fetter's two volume new set, which is an LBJ did it book. And its pretty awful. The first part of my review is up now at K and K. The second part will be up probably tomorrow, that is the LBJ part. BTW, you can find quotes by bth RFK and JFK that they were not going to dump Johnson in a second term. And if you cannot find them its because you are not looking for them.
  20. Well, I would like to know Tucker Carlson's source for his program on the JFK case. I just wonder if it was Trump?
  21. I agree with Andrew. it looks doubtful that we will ever get those last documents. Because the burden of proof has now been altered. The ARRB was a truly remarkable invention. And it worked while it lasted. Those days are now long gone. And congress sat by and did nothing to prevent it.
  22. I wonder now if we will ever see those final classified records. I really do. And if not, why not? The executive branch completely coopted an act of congress. But it does not matter.
  23. Sean and Bill have one of the best podcasts out there, I really mean that. They do a lot of good work. On their latest That's Enough Outta You, they have one of the co authors of The JFK Assassination Chokeholds, Andrew Iler. His contribution to the book on the legal side was extraordinary on both the doctrine of standards of proof--which neither the HSCA or Warren Commission had-- and the JFK Act violations. No other books that I have read has this kind of insight into those two areas of inquiry. Which I think are both very important. https://thatsenoughouttayou.buzzsprout.com/2064141/14852884
