  1. One thing I learned is that INSLAW did break its contract with the DOJ about advanced payments on PROMIS. And that is nowhere to be seen, at least I did not see it, in four hours. And they did it in two ways. The owner of the company who is in breach is not always the most objective commentator.
  2. Why is this posted twice, once here and another time on another thread by the same person? Namely, Keven.
  3. Is it not a miracle of serendipity that the publisher of the book met Oliver at a Havana film festival and handed him this book. She said, "Do I have a book for you!." And that was the beginning of a level 9 earthquake that went on throughout the country in every institution of our society for over a year. The likes of which had never been seen in the history of cinema. Attacking a film seven months before anyone saw it. And then David Belin writing Variety magazine in an anonymous letter on the eve of the Oscars, pleading with the academy not to give JFK the Best Picture honor. It was almost like a spasm of mass hysteria out of Aldous Huxley's The Devils of Loudon. Except on a national scale not local.
  4. Paul: I have the hard cover, the subtitle is "My Investigation and Prosecution of the Murder of President Kennedy." And Paul is correct its a nice place to start.
  5. I have decided to do a long two parter at my sub stack on this because I think a really analytical approach is lacking. But it is what is needed here. The film glances over some key evidentiary points. Like Hugh Thompson was a serial killer.
  6. I am familiar with the whole October Surprise occurrence and have read more than one book on it. And am familiar with Trento. But the more I read about Riconosciuto, the more I see that the film cut out his credibility problems. And it looks like Danny fell for him. Which makes the scene about the fake Z film very appropriate.
  7. I watched it last night and I am doing some research on the case. As Stu says, this is a complex case because there is a lot of extraneous stuff that was applied to the Inslaw case, much of it by Hamilton and Michael Riconosciuto. The latter's story about the October Surprise seems just simply wrong to me. And if you can buy it he was also involved with the MJ 12 case. To call him a "spinner" is maybe giving him too much credit. I also wonder about the whole Trapdoor angle to Promis.
  8. I thought you had complained about this before Vince. This just reinforces it. Shame. And thanks about the film and book.
  9. Karl: How can anyone ignore Wecht's explication of how Tomlinson found the Magic Bullet--or whatever it was-- on the gurney? For many people that was a highlight of the film.
  10. BTW, since we will be talking about the book tonight, I just talked to Daniel Jones. He is the Tampa podcaster who did a two hour interview with me about JFK Revisited. I wanted him to do one about The JFK Assassinations Chokeholds with Paul Bleau. He told me that he would rather not since You Tube is suppressing his JFK assassination stuff. Whew. Did not VInce Palamara make this same complaint on this forum?
  11. Bill, Ron and Stu, I was just told by Oliver's producer that this is a different Sean Stone that just passed away. Not his son.
  12. Oliver and myself will be on Coast to Coast tomorrow night from 10-12 PST with Richard Syrett. The book The JFK Assassination Chokeholds will be the ostensible subject. But since Stone is on we will discuss the scope and impact of JFK Revisited. Right now it is number 8 on Amazon for documentaries. This is over a year and a half after its initial release. And I found out from the producer that the film has now sold in the following countries and territories: All of North America, meaning US and Canada. The UK and Ireland. France Spain Italy Germany Mexico, Central America and South America Australia and New Zealand Greece India Poland The former area of Yugoslavia Japan Hong Kong Depending on how you count them, that is 18 nations and territories. It is safe to say that no JFK documentary has ever had this scope and impact. Always remember: When it first came out, Steve Roe said it would go straight to You Tube. 😀
  13. Mark Flanagan was the assistant to Purdy. Purdy was the chief investigator on the medical side for Blakey and Baden.
  14. DId anyone answer my question yet about the Cuellar visit to Casolaro the night he died? Which the cops covered up or did not know about? Is that in there?
  15. I have not seen the series yet. But do they depict the police covered up visit by Joe Cuellar to Casolaro the night he died? Because it appears Cuellar followed Danny across country. BTW, is it a combination of documentary with acted out scenes?
  16. This is number one on Netflix right now. Whew. Now, I have to see it and read up some more on the whole Casolaro case. The iconic scene in the series is the alleged 'real Zapruder film".
  17. But the killer is this: He uses two forms of public transportation to escape the scene of the crime? And he was willing to give up the cab to an old lady? Some planning.
  18. Denise, Thanks for doing this I thought the results were interesting. I know it was done anonymously, but man I would like to know the person who accepts the SBT. Stupefying.
  19. If you have not read the original article, which I posted, you should. I actually think Sara's original essay is still the best thing I have read on DK. But I will read and review her book also.
  20. Belzer was an entertainer who had a strong interest in the JFK case. He was in no way a researcher/writer. I actually had an argument once with his researcher online. I agree with Pat on this one. Many of these are not at all related to the case. There are some exceptions. But there is no way they would fill a book.
  21. Here is Sara's article that first really put her on the map and the DK case into critical discourse. https://www.midtod.com/dorothy.html A very nice piece of work. If you have not read it, please do. Lee Israel actually uncovered some of this material when she was writing her book on DK, including interesting stuff on Pataky. But either she or her editors cut it out of her biography.
