<LI>History!… Everybody kept saying to me to put a cold towel around my head and wipe the blood off… later, I saw myself in the mirror; my whole face spattered with blood and hair… I wiped it off with Kleenex… History!… I thought, no one really wants me there. Then one second later I thought, why did I wash the blood off? I should have left it there, let them see what they’ve done… If I’d just had the blood and caked hair when they took the picture… Then later I said to Bobby— what’s the line between history and drama? I should have kept the blood on. - View Quote Details on History!… Everybody kept saying to me to put a cold…

  2. You're tops, Bernice.

I thought it could have been lost.

OK, if you ramp up the gamma you can count the various limo components and note a skip over one frame, just before and after the increase and decrease of the chrome reflection. Just that one frame must have been over exposed and exciced. btw, an attempt at making such a panorama is a good learning experience when it comes to matching images each of which has avrious distortions introduced depending on the lenses angle of 'attack' on subjects that are filmed as the camera swings across a scene.

your welcome john, i am just a pack rat, sometimes whatever pops up,and i have it,i was lucky this time...take care...b

  3. re 4: There is one frame that just as the chrome reflection reaches its brightest one over exposed frame has been excised (SOP). I think that is all. In fact I'm pretty sure. I did a very large collage panorama that someone may have downloaded, I've got it on a non functioning comp. that shows a very uniform movement with only a single skip at just that moment.

john, I believe this is your panorama, that you mention...b

  4. The author obviously has not visited NARA in a long time, the cost per page used to be .10 cents in 1994, but not too long ago, the Archivist of the United States under George W Bush raised the price to .50 cents a page. It may be slightly lower now, but still obscene, considering that Office Depot can do it for .09 cents a page.

It's a long list. These items are not online; they're at the National Archives and Records Administration in College Park, MD. You can either ask for copies by mail under FOIA (at a 75 cents per page) or come in in person. There, you can read and scan them for free, or photocopy them for about 20 cents a page.

  5. JIM DOUGLASS TO APPEAR WITH OLIVER STONEOn Monday, November 8th Jim Douglass will be appearing at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills. This will be the launch of the paperback version of his extraordinary book JFK and The Unspeakable. Also appearing on the panel with Douglass will be Oliver Stone, Robert Ellsberg, and Probe's own Lisa Pease.Ellsberg, son of the Pentagon Papers protagonist Daniel, is the man at Orbis Books who pushed through the Douglass book after it had been turned down by ten publishers. The book met with such critical acclaim, and it sold so well in hardcoverover 30,000 copies --that the paperback rights were purchased by Simon and Schuster. They have released the paperback version to roughly coincide with the 47th anniversary of Kennedy's death.Douglass has been quite busy traveling the country and speaking about the book. In fact, the AARC and CTKA co-sponsored an event that the author did in Boston just three weeks ago as part of a six city New England tour. Oliver Stone's appearance on Bill Maher's cable program, plus a blog entry he did for the book at Huffington Post have also helped raise the profile of this fine book.We urge everyone in the LA area to call the Saban Theater (323-655-

0111) and get a ticket. The event begins at 7:30.

  6. I believe Duncan is correct. It looks just like VP Johnson. Kennedy and Jackie were in shadow too in this photo, as was the driver of the limo who stopped and turned around to look at Kennedy.

There's that other photo, taken from the right front of Johnson with sunglasses on. First of all, it doesn't even look like Johnson. It looks more like Jack Ruby. In Duncan's photo, to me, Johnson doesn't look like he has sunglasses on.
