  1. State GOP party has just $53 in the bank with $334,000 in debt: FEC filing
    By Matthew Chapman
    July 11, 2023,
    https://www.rawstory.com/minnesota-gop/
"According to the latest filings with the Federal Election Commission, the Republican Party of Minnesota has just $53.81 in the bank — not even enough money to buy a single Amazon Fire tablet with Prime Day discounts applied. By contrast, the party is reporting almost $334,000 in debts.
A report earlier this month revealed the Arizona Republican Party has less than $50,000 in the bank, as its longtime donors bail on the party over its embrace of election conspiracy theories. And Roger Hudson, the deputy chief of staff of the Colorado Republican Party, claims that they are bankrupt and being evicted from their office space over lack of funds

Perhaps the most high-profile case is the Michigan Republican Party, where recently-elected party chair Kristina Karamo has faced mounting criticism from fellow officers about the lack of transparency around party finances, causing escalating tensions that culminated in a physical brawl between two Michigan GOP officials last week that put one in the emergency room and could lead to criminal charges for the other."

And they're going to bet it all on a twice-impeached, sexual molester who's looking at four major criminal indictments, including espionage against the United States of America.

    Incredulous doesn't even come close.

We truly live in the upside down world of Stranger Things.

  2. Saudi-backed golf tournament gets moved to Trump's Doral club

By Brad Reed July 10, 2023
    https://www.rawstory.com/trump-saudi-golf-2662257372/

"Former President Donald Trump's long-struggling golf club in Miami, Florida will soon get a big financial boost thanks to a golf tournament funded in part by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund.
ESPN reports that the Saudi-back LIV Golf League will have its $50 million team championship this October at Trump National Doral even though it had originally been scheduled to take place in November in Saudi Arabia."

    Surprise, surprise.

  3. - Donald Trump -

""Was Crooked Joe Biden on Cocaine when he instructed the FBI/DOJ to illegally invade my home, Mar-a-Lago, in complete and total violation of my 4th Amendment Rights?" Trump posted. "Was he on Cocaine, or various other substances, when he, for the first time in U.S. history, had his political opponent, who is leading him in the Polls by a lot, indicted and arrested (twice, if you include the DOJ run Manhattan D.A.’s Office)? WE ARE A NATION IN DECLINE!!!""

"If they don’t release information, it means they destroyed the tapes and the Cocaine was for use by Hunter, and probably Crooked Joe, in order to give this total disaster of a President a little life and energy!" he wrote.

Excuse me, Mr. Trump. How would you know what affect cocaine has on people? Have you seen it up close and personal? In members of your own family perhaps?

  4. Marvin Wise was a Patrolman in the Patrol Division, Second Platoon, Headquarters Station, 8:00 AM - 4::00 PM shift. Cecil Talbert was the Captain of that Platoon.

Patrick Dean was one of the Sergeants.

Talbert would briefly assume command of the TSBD shooting scene until  Deputy Chief, Charles Lumpkin arrived and assumed command.

  5. I think the people who planned JFK's assassination wanted there to be evidence of a conspiracy.

How else are you going to blame Cuba or Russia or whomever?

I think Johnson had it right, when he said 20 million people could die (or whatever it was he did say).

The people who came after did what they could to try and blame it on a lone nut. Somebody with "mental health" issues.

Isn't that what we're still doing?

  6. Donald Trump on Friday held a gathering at a Dairy Queen after an Iowa campaign rally in Council Bluffs, and, according to the former president, it was Blizzards for all.

“Everybody wants a Blizzard. What the hell is a Blizzard?!” Trump asked.

Twitter user @Carolina_Pines1 saw it differently, writing, “Did he skip out on the check? He did, didn’t he.”

    That's the second time.

  7. Ramaswamy promoted his belief that birthright citizenship – which is in the U.S. Constitution – should end, along with the automatic right of U.S. citizens to vote in elections at the age of 18, both of which would dramatically reshape the electorate, greatly reducing the historically more Democratic, younger voters.

The Twenty-sixth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution reads: "The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age."

He also wants a constitutional amendment that would require U.S. citizens to "earn" their right to vote, a right that too, technically, is automatic,...

Oh gee. Let's all vote for this guy and just voluntarily give up our right to live in a democracy.

  8. Trump initially said that everybody knows that the cocaine, which was found in a common area of the White House accessible to tour groups, belonged to Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.

"Does anybody really believe that the COCAINE found in the West Wing of the White House, very close to the Oval Office, is for the use of anyone other than Hunter & Joe Biden," Trump posted on Truth Social.

"Has Deranged Jack Smith, the crazy, Trump hating Special Prosecutor, been seen in the area of the COCAINE?" Trump wrote Wednesday. "He looks like a crackhead to me!"

AH YES. THE DERANGED CRACKHEAD WAS SEEN IN THE AREA!

Please raise your hand if you believe the cocaine was planted.

    It's so obvious, it's embarrassing.

  9. 'Effectively broke': Trump is leaving swing state Republicans in poverty as donors flee

by Adam Nichols July 5, 2023

    https://www.rawstory.com/arizona-2662228675/

"Republicans in battleground states including Arizona and Michigan are paying heavily for their “full-throated support of former President [Donald] Trump,” Reuters reported Wednesday.

Big donors who have historically given millions to the state parties are fleeing, largely because they don't want to be associated with the support for Trump’s claims that the 2020 election was stolen.

In Arizona, the GOP had cash reserves of less than $50,000 at the end of March – at the same point four years ago it had $770,000.

Michigan GOP’s federal account had $116,000, down from $867,000 two years ago.

Reuters spoke to five historically big donors in Arizona and Michigan who have stopped spending, citing election denial and support for extreme positions on policies like abortion.

"It's too bad we let the right wing of our party take over the operations," said longtime Arizona donor Jim Click."

  10. The housing community that will require ‘patriots’ to fly the US flag

    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/jul/03/north-carolina-housing-subdivision-us-flag

“The 17 June groundbreaking of a future suburban neighborhood in Gastonia, North Carolina, had all the trappings of a campaign rally.

Video footage of the event shows a crane dangling a giant US flag over the site where 43 lots are for sale. Parcels range from $17,500 to $75,000 for land, and homes cost $410,000 and up in this city 20 miles from Charlotte.

There will be even more flags. This development, which the company has described as “where freedom lives”, is for homeowners 55 and older. And not just any homeowners: “patriots” who will be required to fly the US flag on their properties, on a pole provided and maintained by the subdivision.”

This is the Land of the Free.

And you will submit to Authority by God.

  11. Trump's boast about 75,000 fans at his South Carolina rally undercut by the Secret Service
By Tom Boggioni July 2, 2023
    https://www.rawstory.com/trump-crowd-size/

"Around 11 a.m., a secret service agent told the News there are 5,000 inside the gate and approximately 10,000 still in line."

There are just so many people living in his head that it's hard to keep track of them all.

    2) This may seem strange to ask, but I think is completely logical: Did Souetre/Mertz or whoever else was supposedly involved from the French side speak English? Has anyone ever confirmed that he/they/it did?

    Allen,

According to the supporting Memorandum filed by Bernard Fensterwald in the lawsuit brought by Gary Shaw in 1981,

I also don't discount out of hand the possibility that given the power and connections of those involved that a deal might have been made for their services.

    Ron,

    Dates of early release:

Lajos Marton was released from the Saint Martin de Re prison on March 22, 1968. Also released from Re on that same day were:

Pierre Magade (involved in the attack on de Gaulle at Petit-Clamart)

Raymond Mura (who escaped from the St. Maurice l'Ardoise prison camp with Jean-Rene Souetre in February of 1962)

    Gerard Baudry

    Armand Belvisi

Dominique Cabannes de Laprade (released from Sante)

Andre Canal ("The Monocle" - Head of Mission III of the OAS)

    There was no "deal".

  14. - Amanda Marcotte, Salon -

“As part of their apparent mission to be the dumbest congressional majority in history, last week House Republicans introduced bills to "expunge" Donald Trump's two impeachments.

The assumption is that this is yet another example of the House GOP's devotion to soothing Trump's endlessly hurt feelings, a job so immense it requires the round-the-clock efforts of 222 Republican members of Congress.”
