Oswald took 3 photos inside the Minsk

Though when you combine these photos with the bizarrely detailed manuscript Oswald typed up on the Minsk factory (LINK: https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.html?docId=1133#relPageId=311 ) then Oswald seems to have exhibited a bizarre fascination with the factory.

    Gerry,

I always thought that Oswald's description of the Minsk plant was an extremely thorough and detailed intelligence report.

If you were going to invade Russia, Oswald gave you the name of the plant supervisor, how many people were employed there, how many soldiers there were in the vicinity, etc.

Perhaps the photos were intended to be used in conjunction with that report.

  2. I got to talking with another researcher about the Hidell Selective Service card, and the fact that it had a photo on it.

    image.png.22dcc8690863698f4f4827f63d6aec20.png

I started wondering if it matched any other photos we had of Oswald.

One of the places I looked was Oswald's Russian passport photo, and I saw this from the Portal to Texas History:

And I asked myself, who in the world is that? His nose and mouth and chin are completely different.

Who the H*** went to Russia?

  3. New electric cars won’t have AM radio. Rightwingers claim political sabotage

By Katie Thornton 21 Jun 2023

    https://www.theguardian.com/media/2023/jun/21/am-radio-evs-electric-vehicles-conservative-talk

“Charlie Kirk, radio host and founder of the rightwing youth group Turning Point USA, believes that a conspiracy may be afoot.”

“Sean Hannity gave his viewers a similar warning: “This would be a direct hit politically on conservative talk radio in particular, which is what most people go to AM radio to listen to.” Mark Levin, another longtime radio host, agreed: “They finally figured out how to attack conservative talk radio,” he told his listeners in April.”

“What are they all so worried about? It turns out, a minor manufacturing change announced by car companies including Volkswagen and Mazda: they will be removing AM radios from their forthcoming fleets of electric vehicles, citing technical issues. Tesla, BMW, Audi, and Volvo have already dispensed with AM in their electric cars, because AM’s already unpolished reception is subject to even more buzz, crackling, and interference when installed near an electric motor. While some manufacturers have found workarounds for the interference, others appear to have decided that it’s not worth the engineering expense.”

    Ah. Now I understand.

Oswald probably used Jaggar's equipment to forge the "Hider draft card found in his wallet when he was arrested on the afternoon of the assassination.

    Gene

    Gene,

    I forgot to mention...

When Oswald was arrested, he either denied, or refused to admit that the signature on the Hidell Selective Service card was his. He also refused to say why he had the card, or the the purpose for which it was used.

The card itself was so fake that it couldn't possibly be used for identification, and I have never found any time when he showed to anyone for the purpose of identification.

To my dying day, I will believe that the clue lies in the signature on the card, rather than the card itself.

If, as I believe, Oswald was undergoing some kind of intelligence briefing in the October 19 - November 3, 1962 time period, at the same time he was manufacturing the fake Hidell card, I wonder if they are connected.

Letter from J.Edgar Hoover to Deputy Assistant Secretary for Security, Department of State dated February 12, 1964:

We are endeavoring to identify Lee Harvey Oswald's place of residence during the period from October 19, 1962 when he moved out of the YMCA in Dallas to November 2-3, 1962, when, with his wife, he moved into a furnished apartment at 604 Elsbeth Street, Dallas, Texas.”

The letter is asking that George de Mohrenschildt be re-interviewed concerning what he might know.

Reading through Mary Ferrell’s Chronologies for the month of October, beginning from around October 8 – October 14th. she asks “where does Oswald spend the night?”

I personally believe that Oswald was being briefed for an intelligence mission, but that's just my suspicious mind.

  6. "This was his campaign plan": Trump has flipped the stolen documents case into "a farce"

"If it weren't so dangerous, it would be laughable to hear House Speaker Kevin McCarthy defend Trump's placement of classified documents in a Mar-a-Lago bathroom by saying, "A bathroom door locks." Sure, Kevin, it locks from the inside. Did the documents lock the door themselves?"

About mid-1963, according to a former member of the SAC (de Gaulle's special anti-OAS police), who knew Souetre very well, Souetre did the following in April-May 1963:

    ((b) went to the Caribbean with Varga, Matron and Buscia;

    Ron,

You could also say that the member of SAC, who knew Souetre well, and lied about him a lot...

FYI: Lazlo Varga was arrested in September of 1962 and was put on trial in January of 1963.

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, and confined to the Saint Martin de Re prison on the Ile de Re.

He was released in 1967 in a general amnesty.

Larry Hancock's "Tipping Point (Part 2: Enter Lee Oswald)" outlines Oswald's last year very well:

... Something seminal occurred with regard to Lee Oswald early in 1963; it would lead to a far different image for Oswald than we find in his memoire, prepared only months earlier.

    Gene

    Gene,

I wonder if it had anything to do with the missing two weeks from October 19 - November 3, 1962 when nobody knew where Oswald was living.

Not his friends, not his co-workers, not his bosses, not his wife.

Those two weeks were also when he was working at Jaggers-Chiles-Stovall.

Steve, I believe it's the Altgens photo has Roger Craig on the southside of Elm with the TSBD sign showing 12:40 PM with the Rambler in front of the TSBD. How many minutes has elasped after the JFKA did they sealed off the TSBD?

    Paul,

That's kind of vexing. I once tried (to no avail), to determine who was the "first" person to order that the building be sealed off.

Sawyer said he ordered it. Fritz said he did. Lumpkin also said he did. Who was first?

    I don't know.

““There must be something higher on the national security level for him to do this. Remember, President Trump has more classified material in his head than he’s going to have in his desk. But yet they raided his home to see what he had in his desk. I think the American public wants answers,” Turner explained to CNNs Pamela Brown in August 2022.”

Is Representative Turner suggesting that we raid Donald Trump’s head?

asking the French for their file on Souetre, which should include a lot more information than whether he was expelled from Dallas, seems like a good idea

    Roger,

That might prove frustrating. With the help of Denis Morissette, I once wrote the French National Archives and asked them for the names of the people who had been tried with Jean-Rene Souetre in December, 1961.

The answered me back and said no. It was classified.

(Even though accounts of the trial had been published in newspapers at the time).

The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart and hearthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature."

    Ron,

I wouldn't doubt that the Dallas Police picked up somebody, but I've wondered where the local Dallas Police Department's arrest records are. I can see the CIA stepping in and asking a fellow federal agency to bury its records, but the idea of the CIA stepping in and quashing a local police department's records is kind of immense to me.

My point was, if the DPD or INS did pick up somebody, and the guy they picked up had been sentenced to death in absentia for being a National Socialist collaborator in WWII, it couldn't have been Jean-Rene Souetre. He was only a child in the 1940's.

PS: Earlier, you wrote, "(Dick) Russell continues . . . Soutre was in Dallas that day..."

As I understand it, Dick Russell was relying on information obtained from Bernard Fensterwald. Fensterwald got his information from Gilbert Lecavelier, a known SAC agent.

Q: Did you know of any O.A.S. members training Anticastro guerrillas
    there?
    A: No.
Gilbert Lecalevier breaks in, tells him that, yes there were some.

Lecavalier was SAC. SAC and the OAS hated each other. He wrote in his book that whereas the main effort of SAC between 1958 and 1960 was against the FLN (the pro-independence Algerian rebels), between 1961 and 1967, it was against the OAS

Virgil Bailey, an INS investigator in Dallas in 1963, told researcher

Gary Shaw years later about “picking up a Frenchman in Dallas shortly

after the assassination of President Kennedy.” The man’s description

was very close to Mertz’s, and he looked just a few years older than

a cover identity Mertz often used. Based on age and description, the

man Investigator Bailey remembered could not have been either

the real Souetre or the young French chef. Bailey also recalled that “the

Frenchman . . . had been tried in absentia in France and was under a

death sentence for collaboration with the National Socialists during World War II.”

Germany invaded France on May 10, 1940 and France surrendered on June 25, 1940.

In May and June, 1940, Jean-Rene Souetre was nine years old.

Paris was liberated on August 25, 1944.

In August of 1944, Souetre was thirteen years old and living in a military boarding school, where had had been since the age of eleven.
