He didn't seek employment after he got a job at the TSBD. An Oswald imposter did, as Laura Kittrell stated.
And GD, if he has a think about it, should be able to figure out who that person was.

It'd be interesting to see the 11/23/63 piece mentioned wherein Michael Paine supposedly floats the idea that it was Oswald who did it.
It was a guy in the Dallas Police Headquarters hallway crowd that blurted out the name Walker in relation to Oswald.

Jim slept through, totally missed the interview. But John DeAngelo, 5am on Fox? Not a problem.

That John DeAngelo certainly nailed it. Hopefully the guy will join the forum here 😉

My recollection is that Fritz took his time before reaching the sixth. I think Mooney yelled down before 1:00, and that Harkness then made a call to the crime lab. I suspect some time passed before Hill went upstairs and yelled back down again, which alerted Todd and others to get witnesses claiming to see a man in the sniper's nest over to the Sheriff's office. Fritz and his assistants, who were at that time close to the sixth (I think Fritz said he was in the stairwell when he heard about the sniper's nest) then ambled over to the sniper's nest. When re-reading all this stuff a few years back, I couldn't understand why Sims (who was with Fritz) claimed the sniper's nest was discovered around 1:15. From reading all the statements I realized that Fritz and Sims were responding to Hill, and that they hadn't heard Mooney yelling down to them as they entered the building around 1:00.
Working on the Fritz statement of Alyea, which can be seen at 1:17:45;

Mooney hollers out of the 6th Floor window and sees Fritz and Decker below.
You have Fritz taking his time to reach the 6th after Mooney and Hill have hollered.
So when Alyea filmed Edwards, this was after both Mooney and Hill have hollered. Correct?

This makes a lot of sense in retrospect. Edwards and Fischer said they saw someone in a window, but the cops at least initially thought the shots came from the knoll. After finding the sniper's nest, however, the cops would have been like "Okay, let's get these guys over to the office and get a statement."
Let's bring Alyea into it. He describes seeing Fritz on the 6th floor within "one minute and a half" after filming from the 5th Floor window.

This led me to believe he is the man with Edwards, and that he is escorting him over to the jail to give a statement.
Taking everything into consideration in this thread, it appears now that Robert Edwards was near the steps of the TSBD, and that he was escorted away simultaneously with the discovery of the SN. This may indicate that Edwards disclosed information at the steps, just minutes before the SN was discovered. Thoughts?

They did place the mount further back on some Argentine Mausers. (refer to above post)
-
If this mount pictured below, was tapped & drilled further back, an importer's stamp may well be visible on the top surface of the receiver, with a scope attached. See if I can find an Importer's stamp closer to the barrel. (now see photo below this post)

Unfortunately, Todd makes no mention of corralling any witnesses as he returned to the jail. He does mention being outside the depository when someone yelled down from an upper floor about finding three bullets, however, and this suggests he was outside the TSBD around 12:50. So if I had to guess I'd place that footage around 12:50.
Got it, thanks!

It could be he's being escorted to the sheriff's to do that affidavit.
Yes, it appears that is exactly what is happening. Robert Edwards is being escorted from the direction of the steps of the TSBD to the where he made out the affidavit at the Sheriff's Dept.
Now, I don't know if any other witnesses were guided by the arm from Dealey, but this is the case here.
We know what he witnessed in the Sniper's Nest, so I imagine he was on the steps of the TSBD verbalising to some authoritive person, that the exact place they might want to check out immediately, is that particular area.
So the idea here is to work out what time the Edwards Alyea footage, and the simultaneous Edwards photo, occurred.

Great video to help us understand drill & tapping the Mauser for mounts;

mounted scope.
Hi David, and thanks for the reply. One thing we have shown is that the Argentine Mauser exists with barrel/receiver stamps, in my case, an importer stamp over a scrubbed crest.
So you got me thinking about the mounts, in particular, on the receiver.
Well, the importer stamps differ in location, and who knows what else is out there to be found. Below are examples;
First to find an Argentine Mauser Receiver mount that allows the viewer to make out the stamp wins the prize.

"Okay Lee, give it a little gas, no-no not that much! HIT THE BRAKES ( both her and Lee violently thrown forward ) ... but not THAT hard! Okay...now, slowly get going again ... but go easy this time...now turn the wheel left ... no, no, don't over-turn...watch out for that bush! OMG you just missed hitting that parked car!
Stop the car...STOP THE CAR! Just, just get out...I'm taking over."
Hilarious!
Lee actually drove the Murrett Dodge home after lessons in the park in NO. Those old tanks were a handful too. I believe he took the car, that Paine bought, to the Furniture Mart as well. I doubt Marina would have risked the babes with a psychotic driver.

Mrs. Murrett saw "a brown or tan colored station wagon bearing Texas plates". But never mind that, it sounds to me like Lillian Murrett had a form of red-green color-blindness, protanopia, in which greens look brown or tan (https://www.healthline.com/health/eye-health/what-do-colorblind-people-see#visual-differences-in-images).
Jenner was interviewing Murrett;
Mr. JENNER - Now, this is particularly important to us.
Jenner was trying to establish the colour of a particular bag;
Mr. JENNER - What color was it?
Mrs. MURRET - Possibly it was brown.
Mr. JENNER - Brown?
Mrs. MURRET - I think so.
Now, according to you Greg, this bag was possibly green, correct?
I believe green is what Jenner had in mind in relation to Oswald's marine bag. I find it stunning that Mrs. Murrett did not disclose that she was colour blind. Thoughts?

Where did the dark green roof go on the wreck? Is there a dark green heaven?
Anyone have a time estimate for the Robert Edwards escort?

Excellent. Of course Brehm is seen waiting with Edwards at the Sheriff Dept. If we continue studying the photos, we should be able to work out the exact minutes when Decker, Fritz and Sorrels arrived at the TSBD.
I'm also thinking Tom Alyea may have heard the hollering, which may have prompted him to move to the 6th floor.
