  1. Thanks for the explanation, Paul. Jean has already posted links to CD 1543 (above) which contains translations of the NZ stuff.
  2. Now, I could imagine Walker muttering to himself (or possibly the Germans) something like: "They had ME committed but allowed that Commie to run around shooting at people!?" But the version presented in the NZ piece is a whole 'nother level of crazy.
  3. The idea that Walker later repeated this rubbish comes from Paul Trejo who had access to the General's personal papers, right? Did he ever publish anything substantive about this? Quotes? Context? It would be interesting to known more details.
  4. I'm almost sure the article was uncredited (will see if I can find a scan).
  5. Yeah, in my view, there's no reason to think there was anything too spicy going on with those transatlantic phone calls. The NZ editor, on the other hand, got somewhat carried away in the Der merkwürdige Fall Oswald piece where it was divined that Oswald had originally been arrested in the Walker case (but RFK intervened and stopped the prosecution).
  6. Depends on what you mean by "announced" and "US news." The possibility of the two shootings being related was mentioned in DMN on 11/23/63. There's also the WFAA clip of Curry being asked about it.
  7. It's my impression that terms like "Lone Nut" and "Magic (or pristine) Bullet" is mainly CT hyperbole intended to ridicule their dreaded opponents.
  8. Thank you for posting (or reposting) this. I guess even a fairly prominent CT author like Jim D can't get it right every time. As an avid EOC reader back in the day, I particularly enjoyed the following paragraph.
  9. This is not how a moderator is supposed to behave. It's perfectly valid to ask what you meant. Mark Knight doesn't appear to have posted in this thread or anywhere else since July 18.
  10. There was a follow-up interview a month later, but only the first page (or most of it) of the two-page memo is available in the MBA. It's HSCA JFK Doc 003051 (RIF# 180-10107-10177) and released in full since 1993, according to the NA.
  11. Tom Gram was kind enough to once lead me to the proverbial water (in this post). From there it's a matter of navigating to a promising folder: Malcolm Blunt Archive > Dallas - Texas > DPD > Will Fritz (This was after having hit a few dead ends.)
  12. Does this link (to the Malcolm Blunt Archive) work for you?
  13. For once in your life, will you please try to focus? This thread is not even about the JFKA.
  14. Did you even read Perry's article? What did you find objectionable about it? Apart from not speaking to your biases, that is.
  15. It's from the 1992 documentary Now It Can Be Told: The Curse of JFK hosted by Geraldo Rivera. If you're up for a potentially horizon-expanding experience, these and other claims are examined in David Perry's piece.
  16. There is nothing about a black car, or Bowers talking to ambulance people, in High Treason.
  17. A most curious thread. It's stated in the title that the CIA, in 1963, learned (something) through painful experience ‒ at least that's how I believe most people would interpret the expression "learned its lesson". Is this about the Diem assassination? What was the lesson learned? As for using the same tactic today, has the CIA removed any political figures lately (that we know of)?
  18. Well, maybe some people are just better at processing certain information than others. It's not my impression that susceptibility to confirmation bias (and similar mental shortcuts) is a particular LN trait.
  19. Danish resistance. Oh no, did I hurt your feelings? I thought you enjoyed lighthearted banter.
  20. One can only hope that he had the good sense not to address the non-Germans with "Herr ..."
  21. I'm the only "pure" MU as far as I know. The others only have Ulrik as middle name (as in Mark Ulrik Jensen).
