Guy Banister

Seeing how Guy Banister had a comprehensive set of files on communists, Banister should have had a file on Oswald at least in June 1962 when Oswald returned to the U.S. and that return had been covered in the newspapers.

Therefore, when Oswald began passing out leaflets in new Orleans in June 1963 and possibly got an office at 544 camp street, this should have caused Banister to check his existing file on this guy Oswald where he would have seen that he was a Russian defector. This fact alone would have made Banister very weary of Oswald and never let him inside the door of Banisters office where he is alleged to have been.

So easy to see the contradictions above.

Common sense tells you there was something going on between Bannister and Oswald.

Oswald was confronted by Attorney Dean Andrews one day while he was passing out "Free Cuba" flyers downtown in NO.

Oswald owed Andrews money for past legal work and was shining on Andrews by not paying him.

When Andrews asked Oswald what the heck he was doing, Oswald responded by saying "it's a job."

It would be a fair guess to say that Bannister was the one paying Oswald to play the Pro Castro decoy to see if he could draw out Castro sympathizers?

And/or set Oswald up for more involved activity down the line?

Banister dies naked and under suspicious circumstances just like David Ferrie.

And who the heck got Banister's most important files?

Who else but someone with the power to get a search and removal warrant from the local judge pool.

Did not know Banister died naked. Must be a thing in New Orleans. I guess all that hot weather.

I can't see though how Banister would work with Oswald in any serious capacity as he would have known he was working with a soviet defector. That would be like inviting the fox into the chicken coup. I would have thought Banisters modus operandi would have been to hire a right-winger to then pretend to be a left-winger and use him to uncover other left-wingers in New Orleans. It seems odd to use a known left-winger (Oswald) to try to uncover other left-wingers, as they would be unlikely to want to help in such an endeavor.

Oswald was associated with the CIA  ( see "Oswald and the CIA" by Jphn Newman).  LHO was a part of the false defector to the USSR probram run by the CIA. Also, "

As Garrison continued his investigation, he became convinced that a group of right-wing activists, including Banister, Ferrie and Clay Shaw, were involved in a conspiracy with elements of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to kill Kennedy. Garrison would later claim that the motive for the assassination was anger over Kennedy's attempts to obtain a peace settlement in both Cuba and Vietnam.[29][30] Garrison also believed that Banister, Shaw, and Ferrie had conspired to set up Oswald as a patsy in the JFK assassination.[31]"
