That plus the non-resemblance does make one wonder how in the world this came about. My guess is that Woody went after the role, for whatever perverse reason, and convinced them he was somehow right for the part, with the producers never having even heard of his dad. There is some hope for the production though and that's Rob Reiner is doing this gig... What I find interesting is all the pre-production emphasis on Jackie? Huh?
