There wasn't the concern over an uncontrolled autopsy, a thorough crime scene search, a competent interrogation AND a trial for the patsy

Are you referring to Epstein, or the murder of Marilyn Monroe on the same day she was visited by RFK by various sources, or the JFKA?  Can you be more specific?

No, there was control over the autopsy, but not much concern over it at the time.  I think they did a pretty thorough search of the TSBD, albeit not timely.  They found a Mauser and a  Carcano .  Shells aligned, shells disbursed.   Interrogation was a joke as it was not recorded, entirely possible at the time, and it did involve the Presidential Assassination.  Ruby eliminated the need for a trial, which is a whole different can of worms.

In today's FBI, of course, such things couldn't happen in an investigation. Everything is above board. Just ask the Inspector General. (But don't ask the Attorney General, who thinks the FBI is as bad as it's ever been and the IG doesn't know what he's talking about.)
