I'm going to toss in a few clinical observations here, folks, from my neurology training. Biden looked somewhat Parkinsonian to me during the debate. He exhibited bradykinesia, with a blank, masked facies, and very faint speech. Recall his blank, bewildered staring around the room. The most affect he exhibited was a kind of goofy grin. Denial has never been one of my defense mechanisms. He needs to step down and hand the torch to Gavin Newsom. Bill Fite
4 hours ago, Matt Allison said: IMO, the idea that RFK Jr will get 10% of the vote is patently absurd, no matter what any poll says. He has no support. I agree with that. I guess the question is will those people vote?
Matt Allison
I'll say this, Trump's campaign manager is running a tight ship; they know Trump has his base locked in, so for the next 4 months you'll get lots of centrist and moderate takes from him in an effort to win independents and undecideds. I mean, they'll all be lies of course, but he will be saying stuff... And for the record, Project 2025 is the brainchild of 3 former Trump cabinet members:

Steve Thomas
Steve Bannon arrives at prison. He wants to portray himself as a man of the people. Bannon is the only guy I know who gets driven to prison in a limousine. Yeah, right. Steve Thomas
Steve Thomas
Typical Donald Trump doublespeak: With respect to Project 2025: “I know nothing about Project 2025, but some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. “ But, I wouldn’t know anything about that because I know nothing about Project 2025. “Their ideas are ridiculous and abysmal, but I wish them luck”. Steve Thomas
‘Stealing with both hands’: veteran reporter Joe Conason details the right wing’s graft https://www.theguardian.com/books/article/2024/jul/06/joe-conason-the-longest-con-book “Bannon’s three co-conspirators in the We Build the Wall scam” – keeping donations supposed to support Trump’s border policies – “two of them pleaded guilty and apologized to the court and begged the court for mercy, because they admitted they ripped off millions of dollars." “Not from liberals. They didn’t own the liberals. They owned the conservatives. They stole this money from their own constituency. And Bannon, having promised that he would not take any money, did the same thing. [He has pleaded not guilty.] The only reason he didn’t go to prison when the other three did was because Trump pardoned him." Steve Thomas
