Thomas Graves
Were individuals "found" or in need of protection at the railyards? I believe the Bum Walk was staged, in that it was a non-arrest, it was more of a security escort for these three characters. ______________________________________________ Even though the cops are carrying shotguns, I've often wondered if they weren't the shooters or helpers and if the "tramps" weren't the ones doing the "escorting" (in order to create plausible deniability for the cops). --Thomas ______________________________________________ ______________________________________________ Comments, anyone? --Thomas ______________________________________________ Bump ______________________________________________
J. Raymond Carroll
The person who intrigues me in that photo is not the man you mention but the one on the far left, his face hidden by Frenchie. This man also looks like Lansdale when he wore a crewcut (as he did in the 1950s),Ron Image Reduced Attached Image For years I was under the impression that Prouty was identifying Lansdale as the "crew-cut" man whose face is blocked by Frenchie. The Lansdale profile photo (bottom left on Ron Ecker's collection) does bear a remarkable resemblance to that man, crew cut, ear and all. The tramp photo gives me the impression that the tall tramp is communicating, via eye contact, with crew-cut man. ( I Have tried to paste both sets of photos for comparison, but have no idea if they will appear) Can anyone provide chapter and verse on whether crew-cut man was or was not the man Fletcher Prouty identified as Lansdale?
