  1. I guess I missed this. "The race is on to track down JFK's killer. But before he is arrested he kills again." From National Geographic? I'm laughing as I type. Guess I'll watch it and maybe eat crow. Surprised it popped up on msn at this time.
  2. Thanks for this John, it's very interesting. I did notice in the affidavit White notes Laffite also worked for the Secret Service, albeit on a counterfeiting case. In the list of digitized items are his daily appointment books. 1934-1962, then it skips 1963/64 and comes back with 1965, the year he retired, then skips to 1970/71. I looked at the 1962 book, a lot of what is there is pretty much illegible. Most of it seems to reflect personal appointments. A majority of the weekdays have nothing posted. Many Saturdays and Sundays say beach. One Friday 3/23/62 entry that is legible says "president Kennedy talks at U of C." Then after Tuesday 7/10 it stops, no more entries the rest of the year, or until 1965 I guess, I've not looked at it yet. I did look at January 1953. It has business entries/notes on virtually every page. I'm going back to November/December of that year looking for anything about Frank Olson.
  3. Nick, Greg is still an active member in good standing here on the forum. He last visited in March, last posted in February (Researchers We've Lost thread). We have a personal e-mail on file which I don't think I'm supposed to give out. But, by clicking on his name/image anyone here can view his profile from which anyone here can send him a Personal Message. His message file is not full, but I didn't check to see if he's accepting PM's or not. Greg Burnham - The Education Forum (ipbhost.com) It looks like his website is still active too. 4. Going off the deep end here. I think it's possible someone or two in the Secret Service might have known a person or two at the CIA. Maybe a few collaborated on a mid to upper level, then it filtered downward to trusted subordinates? Nutty? Again, Secretary of The Treasury C. Douglass Dillon, ultimately head of the SS. Friend of David Rockefeller and Allen Dulles. Paul Paterni, SS>OSS>SS, Angleton in Italy, 2nd in charge of SS 11/22/63.
  5. This was a crime. The Secret Service ignored federal law. Someone should have been held accountable.
  6. I've read some years back of a second film from a location somewhere near Zapruder, but nothing I recall convincing or proving such. It's been a while. After listening to the you tube audio Keven linked again of Delarosa I'm more convinced than I already was that, as you say, he saw a clean original. And the one we are all familiar with was altered. As I'm not well versed in this aspect, and some of this is from memory please feel free to correct me, I'd appreciate any further education on it. I can only think of three people who might have seen the same version and spoke of it, for different reasons in less detail. Dan Rather mentioned the forward motion Delarosa refers to in his first report after seeing the film on 11/22/63. He quickly changed his mind. Then Cartha Deloach, Hoover's number three man at the FBI also mentions the forward motion. I don't remember the source on this. Then Dino Brugioni. Who if memory serves was asked by Doug Horne primarily about the head shot. In re-listening to the you tube audio interview a few things stand out to me. I think the clarity was mentioned. The turn off Houston onto Elm is on the film. Described in detail. Greer over shot the turn onto Elm apparently thinking he was to go down the Elm Street extension directly in front of the TSBD between it and Elm then corrected. Then as they approach where the shots happened we have Umbrella Man "seriously pumping" his umbrella up and down. With Dark Complected Man waving his arms (to get Greer's attention, says Delarosa). Then stepping into the street with a fist raised. Reportedly a military signal to stop. Which Greer did, and looked back and saw the head shot. Interesting.
  7. Nope the didn't, but they still won the war technically in terms of who killed more of the other sides people.
  8. Thanks for this video Keven, I've never seen it. Your comments and it are concise. Delarosa seems sincere and believable, not seeking fame or fortune (ha). He saw Greer initially targeting a 110 degree turn onto the Elm Street Extension directly in front of the TSBD. Then correcting to the middle lane of Elm at 130 degrees. Not on the Zapruder film as we know it. Then Umbrella Man not just holding it up but pumping it up and down. And Dark Complected Man stepping into the street, waving his closed fist, an Infantry sign to stop. The limo cane to a complete stop. Two shots to the head, back then front. Sharp focus. This makes sense.
  9. Never read this before. Deep. The parts on Judy Baker and Derba Conway literally pulling the plug on Fetzer funny. Regarding Judy.
  10. At least it's not an oligarchy? I know not if that gives us some hope for Democracy yet or not. It could depend on fate, sometimes not kind to history. Though I maintain Faith.
  11. Hey Chuck. I'll add to this from Coup In Dallas. "Barnes path was cleared into the CIA was cleared by the man who would become his mentor and who would act as this patron as long as he was in power in the CIA - Allen Dulles. Dulles met then Capitan Barnes in 1944 and was taken with him quickly, writing to his OSS superior David Bruce: " I have met Tracy Barnes here today and am anxious to get him to Switzerland as soon as possible . . . we can find useful work for him." pg. 493. "Barnes and Angleton were both Yale men, both attended Harvard law School though Angleton did not graduate. Both members of Scroll and Key (vs Skull and Bones) . . . a lifelong bonding experience. . . . and their wives met with some regularity . . . Georgetown Set, 1950's. . . . Barnes secretary . . . McIlvaine said when Angleton called, Tracy ran to this office." pg. 500.
  12. Why Dallas? Why were SS protocols ignored there of all places. If anyone should have known it was the city they should have had their strongest presence in place it would be the SS. JFK was advised by some friends not to go there, if they though it dangerous would you think the SS might consider it so? They knew LBJ and Ladybird had been accosted there in the 1960 campaign, and, that UN Ambassador Adali Stevenson had been spat upon and hit with a placard in a recent visit. They knew Dallas Morning News owner/editor had called JFK a man on a tricycle when the US needed a man on a horse to his face in front of other owners/editors at the Whitehouse, and that he ran personal extremely derogatory editorials against the President. They knew about the Dallas Petroleum Club and the oil depletion allowance and more. Why a decrease in security in likely the potentially most dangerous city in the US to the President. You can watch Vince's videos. They did put marksmen and spotters on top of tall buildings in other parades. They did bring in military troops to face the crowds and observe them and buildings along parade routes. The latter was ready to go for Dallas but turned down that morning. Somebody at, or near the top was cooperating (with approval from above/others).
  13. Barnes and Dulles were close associates.
  14. Yes, I'd agree. But I don't think that happened. If he was told to slow down, I don't think he was told JFK would be assassinated in the car with him. I'm not supporting this idea but as a possibility some have speculated Oswald was told he would be taking a minor behind the scenes part in a protest, or an actual security test (see Vince, Survivors Guilt). I guess something like that could have been told to Greer. In spite of my often pessimism I've always been on the fence on this one. After reading Pat's post earlier about Greer's statements they do seem logical. He rounded the way more than 45 degree turn from Houston onto Elm almost hitting the far curb at what 5 mph? Then straightening out after the curve to the left from the intersection he sees the men on the railroad overpass, a violation of SS protocol and hesitates, lets off the gas. Then he hears a shot(s)/loud noise/commotion in the back seat, taps the brake (you can see the brake light in one of the pictures) as he turns to see what is happening/If JFK's ok. Exactly what he should not have done per his training and experience. What's bugged me for a long time is why (as I've read) the limo was only going 12 mph when Greer apparently let off the gas, then (as evidenced) tapped the brakes. Protocol was ignored in Dealy Plaza in so many instances it is ridiculous. 45 degree turn from Main onto Houston, more than 45 onto Elm, at least 2 unsecured tall buildings, one with open windows. Men on the railroad overpass. After he turned onto Elm crowds were thinning out, Greer should have hit the gas heading toward the underpass. But I wasn't there, IDK for sure. It does all still seem a bit suspicious.
