Excerpt from 1990 ms/book CROSSTRAILS After returning from Cuba, my usual Internal Security contact, accompanied by a CIA agent called to set up a debriefing meeting. Among other questions, they ask if I believed the Cuban people would rise against Castro during a US. invasion of Cuba., I stated "it is my sad duty to inform you that they will not attempt to aid in overthrowing that government." Giving the reasons, and apologizing for having to make such an unpopular report that suggested my relatively dangerous and "uncomfortable" mission was unsuccessful. H.J.Dean

Although I was a member of Castro's network, and had those credentials, even then Cuban and/or non-Cubans members were under suspicion of being possible US. agents. So when in Cuba were subject to "vigorous interrogation" or worse, unless convincing? Info to FBI and CIA agents.

Torture,I was caught in the center between President Eisenhower's sudden anti-Castro policy change, as member of Castro's Revolutionary Movement. Now, 1960 arrested by Cuba's G-2/DGI secret police, being threatened at Havana headquarters with possible execution, a 45 caliber automatic pressed at my temple by a raged bearded Militia member, and another yelling loudly 'we should kill all these American dogs". That torture was only a fearful brain bender, with no physical harm involved. I later learned that more than a dozen or more suspected US. spies had gone from that torture chamber to the firing squad before,during and after my "interrogation". Yes, I was gathering information for US. Intelligence as a US. backed invasion was in the works. All of my pro-Castro revolutionary efforts being crushed by an unexpected sudden change in US/Cuban policies. That spy suspect arrest and escape from death forever haunts my thoughts, though it could be considered a cake-walk compared with the torture methods used by worse, more sub-human US. It's there for all who are yet in cloud-land. I offer no defense,ever,against misleading insinuations by so-called research/investigators. I was born under the questionable British flag, in Canada as a United States citizen at birth as a result of my American father. The British/Canada people and their government along with the British homeland declared war on Germany in September 1939. For the next two years until 7 December 1941 the United States was totally allied with Germany. So there is no problem about why Americans generally dealt with Germany!

The post from 8 May 2014 If only the vociferous/argumentative persons interested in Cuba & JFK histories had not remained in their yet unenlightened early teens when history happened, they could have been more than 'note writing, record keeping' constructive/critiques. But alas they remain young in their sixties, that is, compared to we then in our 30s who experienced the making of those often seriously dangerous and yes, patriotic histories. Those histories that flash so clear and unforgettable in every detail across more than a mere fifty years, and now closer to 87 have not created mind-slip with me. Such is the excuse only of they who are faulty-fishers for information and baiter's of traps to enhance their already faltering reputations as would-be and self aggrandizing historians, and/or ? My manuscript/book written in 1990 was intended to assist any interested in such history and for future family members. It is the only record to date that I will recommend. An eBook titled Confessions of Harry Dean, by Paul Trejo had some interest to me, though I would have liked to have been permitted to first read and make some serious corrections before it was published. It is now determined to withdraw from any further association or attempts to contribute to the histories mentioned above. My past involvements in the Cuba/JFK case makes it unnecessary to display FBI/NARA records as having been there they will only tell what is already known to me also the great cost involved makes the purchase impossible, therefore the records would serve no other purpose perhaps than one future day a genuine book on these historic details be seriously undertaken.

Now scrolling on page 10. Posted 8 May 2014 titled "DETAILS" covers the subject Kathy Beckett mentions above. " I have no mind slip of that history" The problem is, the contrary mind of these slippery diggers for details as outlined in the 8th May post.
