Many of these are readily available, some are released 'with deletions' others released as follows, as sensitive, exempted, classified, restricted and or secret & etc. However even most of these are now available to interested persons. Details If only the vociferous/argumentative persons interested in Cuba & JFK histories had not remained in their yet unenlightened early teens when history happened, they could have been more than 'note writing, record keeping' constructive/critiques. But alas they remain young in their sixties, that is, compared to we then in our 30s who experienced the making of those often seriously dangerous and yes, patriotic histories. Those histories that flash so clear and unforgettable in every detail across more than a mere fifty years, and now closer to 87 have not created mind-slip with me. Such is the excuse only of they who are faulty-fishers for information and baiter's of traps to enhance their already faltering reputations as would-be and self aggrandizing historians, and/or ? My manuscript/book written in 1990 was intended to assist any interested in such history and for future family members. It is the only record to date that I will recommend. An eBook titled Confessions of Harry Dean, by Paul Trejo had some interest to me, though I would have liked to have been permitted to first read and make some serious corrections before it was published. It is now determined to withdraw from any further association or attempts to contribute to the histories mentioned above. My past involvements in the Cuba/JFK case makes it unnecessary to display FBI/NARA records as having been there they will only tell what is already known to me also the great cost involved makes the purchase impossible, therefore the records would serve no other purpose perhaps than one future day a genuine book on these historic details be seriously undertaken.

On 11/29/1963 Wes.G. Grapp was issuing directives to "all FBI Los Angeles agents".

Harry, congragulations on your bold move. I look forward to seeing the full FBI record about you, and especially about your interaction with FBI Agent Wesley Grapp in early 1964. I'm aware that Ernie Lazar continues to cast doubt on your claims to have spoken with Wesley Grapp, but as I have found and have tried to show on this Forum, your general account of your experiences in 1963 with regard to extremist elements of the John Birch Society (including Loran Hall) and Lee Harvey Oswald still stand up under unbiased scrutiny. Despite all the bias from Ernie Lazar, I maintain complete confidence that your contact with Wesley Grapp will be vindicated by a fuller display of FBI records. It is so that he was close with Mr. Hoover and both were burned up when I exposed my 1965 association with the Chicago and Los Angeles Bureau On a personal note, Wes. My reason to not bother requesting my FBI records was simply that I was there in every situation. However being goaded into the fray on E Forum my request for these records is well underway. Upon their arrival hopefully soon, everyone will know the facts already known for years to me. These FBI records will be 'destructive' to the over spoken Lazar, but informative to interested persons. It is important to notice that a result of these exposures may cause threats or physical harm from this vicious critical source.

Wes Swearingen and I knew many of the same people in Chicago and LA Bureau, his books tell about operations as they really were. Mr. Swearingen and I have had several conversations.

Answers Harry J. Dean...My choice to assist Cuban Revolutionary movement began in late 1957 as an humanitarian gesture. By 1960 it all had turned into political ashes. My choice was to then enlist with individuals and organisations actively opposed to the great and cruel deception that had betrayed the True Revolution in Cuba. My thinking is, don't get involved in such activities that assist or oppose, if you choose adventure, don't write a book on the subject. For example, in Cuba I was threatened with death, in the ebook 'Confessions', destruction! Have been a life-long moderate, Real Republican.

Hey Lazar, I was looking at the 166 NARA FBI/CIA reports under the name Harry J, Dean...There are also 7 under just Harry Dean. A few are secret or withheld and or restricted, but most are shown as open. It seems they begin in 1960? I figure that with your considerable interest in this subject you will order the full reports, indicated by these notations at NARA. Such future similar reports are also incoming according to NARA statements. I was never interested it what is available or stated by either Intelligence Agency, simply because I had lived and still relive it all, but JFK researchers and others I am certain will appreciate your undertaking this task.

Vega had put me through a death threatening interrogation in June 1960 at G2 headquarters in Havana. Vega had since fallen into my hands after his illegal entry into the US. I gleefully sunk him to my FBI contacts. Now, and finally by 1969, CIA said I must fly to New York to personally identify Vega. I refused to fly there in fear of being hijacked back to Cuba. I had told CIA I was willing to take a train, but would not go by plane, CIA said no one would hijack a plane from California!. At that time a plane was hijacked from California to Cuba! This above is one of many far more important documents that will be found in US. FBI/CIA withheld items.
