  1. For starters, I would like to know if the Club des Cordeliers or any of the Revolutionary "Committes" ever met, held "trials," and/or executions in the cellars of what is now the famous jazz club "Caveau de la Huchette" at number 5, rue de la Huchette in Paris (as claimed by the jazz club on its website). Thanks, Thomas ____________________________________________________
  2. _____________________________________________ This is the post I referred to in the thread "Could it be-- Rip Robertson and friend?" FWIW, Thomas _____________________________________________
  3. ______________________________________________ James, I think the man walking away from us in the upper right-hand corner of the photograph (post #18, this thread) taken in the parking lot just MIGHT be Rip Robertson walking towards/past his '59 Rambler station wagon. I do know for sure the vehicle he's nearing is a Rambler station wagon because I used to own one myself. (I didn't know that Rip Robertson owned such a vehicle until I read your post #7 today on the thread called "Bizarre Behavior?") FWIW, Thomas ______________________________________________

  6. Unfortunately the internet is becoming rather censored too: I just googled "Project for a New American Century" and when I attempted to open a link promising to expose this group this site had been suspended. And recall the problems John has had publicizing Mockingbird!! Dawn _____________________________________________ Hi Dawn, Out of curiousity, I tried Googling "Project for a New American Century" and it worked for me. Here it is: (deleted; see posts #20 and #21, below) FWIW, Thomas _____________________________________________
  7. __________________________________________ Gratz posted an average of about ten "jokes," comments, monologues, denials, "rebuttals," diatribes, accusations, attachments, and/or "essays" per day since he joined the Forum on 11/09/04. He even threw in a few honest questions from time to time, probably just for "appearances." He certainly had his chance, didn't he? (And guess what?-- He blew it.) 8. __________________________________________ I just think this thread is of enough importance to try to keep it on the "front page" a bit longer................ FWIW, Thomas __________________________________________
  9. _______________________________________ Robert, BRAVO! It'll be interesting indeed to see Gratz testify on his own behalf. I'm confident he'll have to be reminded over and over to: (1) Tell the truth, (2) the WHOLE truth, and (3) nothing but the truth........ FWIW, Thomas ______________________________________
  10. _____________________________________ Jack, Fascinating article. The fact that the signature "A. Hidell" on the money order appeared to be Marina Oswald's writing is interesting. If true, I suppose the most likely reason she would do it was because LHO asked her to, but... maybe she ordered the rifle (or at least signed the money order) to help set him up as the "patsy".........??? Maybe he wasn't even aware of the rifle "in the Paine's garage" and maybe the famous backyard photos of Lee with rifle and revolver and two (opposed) Communist periodicals are fake (I've always thought so).................................. 11. (post # 32)____________________________________ Bill, Regarding your post #32 in this thread, thanks for posting the graphic with the elevated-and-tilted perspective of the grassy knoll, wooden fence, concrete wall, and the assumed people, etc, so we can see how everything "fits together." First time I've seen anything like this, so now at least I'll know what everyone's talking about........... Thanks, Thomas ____________________________________
  12. __________________________________________ Mark, "Touche!" FWIW, Thomas __________________________________________
  13. ____________________________________________________ Lee, Regarding your post #40 on this thread, great photo and backround information as to how you took it. The white mark on the curb which the red line leads to and which you say roughly represents the headshot at Z-313 really helps me visualize the "scenario." Thanks, Thomas ____________________________________________________

  16. ___________________________________________ Robert, Great post. Unfortunately, this seems to be Gratz's modus operandi whenever he feels on the defensive, which, given his untenable position and his apparent need to try to "convert" others to his way of thinking, is understandably (and frustratingly) all too often. FWIW, Thomas ___________________________________________ ******************************************************** "whenever he feels on the defensive, which, given his untenable position and his apparent need to try to "convert" others to his way of thinking, is understandably (and frustratingly) all too often." But, seriously Thomas. I don't think T.G. exhibits any need to try to "convert" others to his way of thinking. After all is said and done, I haven't really noted any vitriolic outbursts, nor any overly condescending verbal abuse coming from his quarter. In fact, I've learned quite a bit from reading the exchanges between T.G. and Robert Charles Dunne. They're both truly gifted in the art of debate. It's an education in, and of, itself. Wouldn't you agree? ___________________________________________________ Hi Terry, OK, they are both "truly gifted in the art of debate," but they are different. Robert is a true debater whereas I would put Gratz in the category of a smooth-talking salesman. Gratz is always saying things like "Of course,..." or "Clearly,..." or "You do, do you not...?" or "You would agree, would you not...?" Jeez, reminds me of Joseph McCarthy asking someone on TV, "Are you now, or have you ever been, a member of the Communist Party?" LOL I do think Gratz is trying to "convert" others to his way of thinking on this Forum. Otherwise, why would he post so goshdarn often?? Hell, I know when someone is trying to "convert" me. One of my relatives is a Bircher and when I was younger that person was continually trying to get me to "see the light," so I know what a "converter" does-- they just keep hammerin' away! It's their "mission" in life, their "calling," if you will. I've never accused Gratz of "vitriolic outbursts" (that I can remember). I just don't like his slippery tendency of making an assertion without offering proof of that assertion modus operandi (see Robert's post #7 again, if necessary) coupled which the above-mentioned "McCarthey" style and the fact that he posts so damn often and, as John says in post #14, he often suggests or even claims that those who disagree with him on this Forum are anti-American or unpatriotic. I think Gratz is here to stay, however. He seems to enjoy being on the defensive.... FWIW, Thomas ___________________________________________________

  18. "Why BY THE WAY IS A THREAD ON MY POLITICAL VIEWS OF ANY CONSEQUENCE TO THE JFK ASSASSINATION CASE" That's something I was wondering about myself. What is this, some kind of tribunal in which Tim Gratz is being grilled by John Simkin? I think this thread is TOTALLY out of line. It's simply harassment by a socialist intolerant of someone who disagrees with his views. Disappointed, Roy Bierma ________________________________________________ Roy, Perhaps you should read (or re-read) John's response to this exact question in post #14 of this thread. Of course, (to use one of his favorite clauses), Gratz should have rephrased the question to read, "Why, by the way, is a thread on my political views of any consequence to the JFK assassination case as it is being debated and discussed on this Forum?" That changes the whole "ballgame," doesn't it folks? In addition to using unethical "courtroom" or "playground" tactics like insinuation and outright character assassination (pun intended, Tim), Gratz is continually "argu[ing] facts not in evidence" and "pretend[ing] that the case has already been made and extrapolate[ing] from there" (see Robert's post #7), and continually trying to commandeer this Debate and appropriate it as his own personal and exclusive "soap box" so that he can fulfill one of his his most important preordained (?) "missions" to mankind-- convincing us that Castro and Trafficante "dood da deed!" As mentioned on another thread a month or two ago, Gratz's antics and tactics probably tend to discourage a greater number of honest, inquiring, and/or informed people from participating actively in this "Debate." 24. ____________________________________________ Gratz, It is certainly, of course, clearly self-evident and obvious from the context, is it not? ____________________________________________
  25. _______________________________________ Bill, Gratz's statement is too conditional for my taste. I would say, "Bill, there certainly are indications that Rosselli was involved." FWIW, Thomas _______________________________________
