  1. Well, go get it and you will see what I mean.
  2. Wasn't Sam Pate mentioned in Livingstone' books?
  3. Part 2 to Matt T's fine analysis of what Russia Gate was all about. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/taibbi-trump-russia-mueller-investigation-815060/?fbclid=IwAR3W9RYtUglXzecIs26IJqiqq-95rotMMNXGWjX4hQHlwyeOAAPUSy6p6bY Here is the takeaway: Russiagate became a convenient replacement explanation absolving an incompetent political establishment for its complicity in what happened in 2016, and not just the failure to see it coming. Because of the immediate arrival of the collusion theory, neither Wolf Blitzer nor any politician ever had to look into the camera and say, “I guess people hated us so much they were even willing to vote for Donald Trump.”
  4. Read this about Mifsud https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/oct/31/joseph-mifsud-professor-trump-russia-inquiry-kremlin What to make about someone like that? But Mueller used his word to nail George P.
  5. How did you get it that fast Stephanie? Was there an E book version?
  6. Bob, I cannot really comprehend that you honestly think that the murder of Roselli is the same as a perjury trap. C'mon. In simple terms, a perjury trap is when an FBI agent or a prosecutor gets a subject to admit something on the record that he usually knows is either contested or wrong. It is not related to the actual aim of the inquiry, but he hopes to use it to further its ends. You are going to compare the murder and dismemberment of Roselli, his involvement in the plots to kill Castro, and his remains being stuffed into an oil drum to that? This is really indicative to me of how the Democrats have stretched this thing into dimensions it simply will not fulfill. Jeff outlined above how Mueller got George P to plead. But again, if you read his deposition its probably even more interesting than that. One can make a case that Mifsud was a ringer. As Halper was. This is an area where the Dems and the likes of Jonathan Marshall did not want to tread.
  7. David: That was a plea deal. It was another process crime that Mueller got him on. It was a perjury trap. He was never tried, let alone convicted, on anything dealing with Russia Gate, just like no one else has been. Paul: As I have said, that report was commissioned by the DOJ, which is part of the executive branch. If congress does not like the redacted version that Barr will likely give them, then they have the option of going to court. Which I am sure they will do.
  8. Joe, did you read his deposition that Jeff linked to? Can you please show me where and when he was convicted in court? If you will not read his deposition, then at least read this story: https://thehill.com/hilltv/rising/404275-what-professor-really-told-fbi-about-trump-russia-and-papadopoulos Except, if his deposition is accurate, its even worse than that story indicates. And while you are at it Joe, please look up a guy named Stefan Halper. That will also help you understand what happened to George P.
  9. Doug: The idea that Barr is going to be charged with obstruction is a stretch of formidable proportions. Who is going to indict the Attorney General, the president? But as I have said, Barr is not doing anything illegal. There is no Independent Counsel law today. Mueller was an employee of the DOJ. By law his report went to the AG. I mean if you want to scream about anything in all that, scream at Ken Starr. There was no there in Whitewater so he went after Clinton for Lewinsky. As she just tweeted, if this situation had existed back then, no one would have have known her name. Which would have been great. By law, grand jury testimony is not allowed to be made public. There are also privacy matters involved. There are also areas of classified information that must be considered. Mueller could not make an indictable case on Russia Gate in two years. Its pretty obvious he tried. In fact, if you read George P's deposition, Mueller left an important part of the story out e.g. possible entrapment. By all reports, Mueller has already closed up shop. HIs attorneys and his staff are gone. Would such be the case if there was a there there? The one outstanding case is Roger Stone. He had surveillance on Roger for a long time. Everyone suspects this is another "process crime" urged on Mueller by Schiff. Barr has already said he will release a redacted form of the report. If for some reason, the congress disagrees with the redactions, then you let judges decide.
  10. BN: then-Trump foreign policy advisor George Papadopoulos told an Australian diplomat that the Russians had dirt on Hillary Clinton. The diplomat then gave that information over to the FBI. Bob, did you read the George P interview that Jeff linked to? If you had, I don't see how you could shave printed the above without at least a qualification. When I read how the above happened, I had some real doubts about how the likes of Jonathan Marshall at TPM reported this story.
  11. Does this mean the best info we have on this is from Golz?
  12. And I should say, Alford told me that he thought this was a mistake. In his opinion, Garrison should have done all kinds of fingerprint and blood tests of the B and D paraphernalia that Shaw had in those closets. He said he was shocked by this stuff. And he also said you could see the blood stains on the hooks.
  13. Jeff: That interview you posted is a really fascinating document. I mean everyone should read it. If this guy is telling the truth, then he was set up. He really does deserve a pardon. That famous photo in March of Trump's alleged foreign policy team made him a target.
  14. Bob, what I meant was that it was the Steele Dossier that made the issue an MSM shibboleth. As if it were an accomplished fact.
  15. As I explained, the reason you cannot read the report right now is what Ken Starr did to the Independent Counsel law. It does not exist right now, so Mueller was a DOJ appointment. He works under them. Do I think everyone should be able to see it, yes I do. But I think Barr will redact certain parts of it like grand jury testimony and for privacy issues.
  16. For sure. But Garrison never made that an issue while Shaw and his lawyers delayed his trial.
  17. Paul and JIm, A few pages ago in this thread, Jeff Carter posted Matt T's devastating report on the Steele Dossier. https://taibbi.substack.com/p/russiagate-is-wmd-times-a-million Even Mr Ness later said that the Dossier was nothing more than paid for oppo research. To point out some things: Cohen was not in Prague, Page was not offered a nineteen per cent stake in a multi billion dollar company in Russia, and there is no golden shower tape.I mean Cohen should know. And the idea that Putin was cultivating Trump for the presidency back in the nineties is kind of absurd. But Adam Schiff proclaimed to the world that geez nothing in it is disproven and this became the CW. He then fought the effort to expose that the vast majority of it was done by Fusion for Lincoln Coie, which was a cut out for HRC. It was shameful that we had to wait that long for that info. Steele actually borrowed stuff from online postings. He himself never went to Russia, and had not been there in over a decade. He never vetted any of his second and third hand reports. He gave his customers what they wanted. And then several people like Nellie Ohr, Simpson and McCain shopped it around tirelessly in order to get it in the media. They finally succeeded with Buzzfeed. And this is what sent Russia Gate which had only been simmering, into the stratosphere.
  18. Shaw did this more than once. He would buy properties in the Quarter, renovate them and then sell them. This was the last one. He was really kind of good at it. And he made some money doing it. I saw this place from the outside on one of my visits to the New Orleans. These properties, as you can see, have almost no land around them. BTW, its wrong to say Shaw was the only guy prosecuted in the JFK case. Garrison also tried and convicted Dean Andrews for perjury. The New Orleans establishment has such a huge denial problem with Shaw that its almost absurd.
  19. Correct on all counts David. No argument there. BTW, take a look at this clip below. This is how utterly and completely wrong the media was. Its almost funny. They really believed their own BS. I mean one guy talked about it being a realignment type election? IMO, Russia Gate was one way for them to not accept they were so foolish.
  20. Yes yawn Kirk. In this article by Bob Parry, which was published almost two years ago. He predicted that this would go just about nowhere. It was a bunch of unrelated loose threads that showed no evidence of a conspiracy. And that the MSM was showing no standards for journalism in dumping everything they could and saying things they could not prove. https://consortiumnews.com/2019/03/28/consortium-news-record-on-russia-gate-how-cn-covered-the-scandal-no-3-the-tangled-threads-of-russia-gate/ Bob took a lot of heat for this. Just like he did when he would not go along with the Clinton Crazies and the phony Whitewater nonsense. He was right then and it looks like he was right on this. Which is what made him the paramount journalist in America. To discard the Steele Dossier is to me simply irresponsible and throws out the sine qua non of Russia Gate. No other exhibit was more responsible for causing the hysteria that fueled this story for the two years it possessed the media like a voodoo spell. And Schiff was one of its biggest promoters. Even though he knew Perkins Coie paid for it, he fought in the committee to keep that a secret. And he always billed it as being not verified but nothing in it was disproven. I guess he forgot about the Post going to Prague and finding no evidence Cohen was there. He knew that too but he did not want to say it. Because it damaged his Holy Grail. I am a Democrat. I do not like Trump. I would never vote for the guy, even if he was the only candidate running. And I still do not understand how he went from a decent candidate with the Reform Party to a right wing loon in 2016. Which is a heck of a more interesting and valid story than Russia Gate. But abuse of the system is the same whether its by the Dems or the GOP. We are supposed to be against it by either party. Because we have seen the horrendous results in the JFK, MLK, RFK and Malcolm X cases. I know since I wrote a whole book about all of them. Russia Gate was a distraction. It took away from just how bad Trump has been. I mean please. Giving billions of tax breaks to multi millionaires and then wanting to cut Special Olympics and aid to autistic kids? That is how bad that tax act was. But somehow for the Dems that takes second place. Sheesh.
  21. Oh please, here comes Kirk and his DiEugenio Dartboard. YAWN. I would have a lot more respect for Adam if he would say; "I was wrong about the Steele Dossier. There are things in there that are provably false. And we should have admitted that HRC paid for it much earlier, we should not have blocked that info. I also should not have said it had never been disproven. But I wanted to keep this whole thing alive politically and I was wrong. And we should have been more honest about what the FBI used it for. What they did with it was quite dodgy." When Adam says anything like that , which all happens to be true, I will then take back what I said. Hold your breath until he does. It will happen on the same day Dan Rather comes clean on the CBS cover up about the Warren Commission. Here is the proof of what CBS and Danny Boy did. https://kennedysandking.com/john-f-kennedy-articles/why-cbs-covered-up-the-jfk-assassination Please Kirk, show me where you have ever written anything comparable to that in this field?
  22. God, this gives me a headache. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-attacks-democrats-michigan-rally_n_5c9d6325e4b00ba632799519 What kind of country is this that makes us choose between HRC and this guy? When I was growing up we had JFK, RFK, MLK and Malcolm X. And they killed them all.
  23. That is an interesting question Ron. As I said Mueller had surveillance on Stone. And he was goaded into indicting him by Schiff. Its an open question if he would have done so on his own. Since he was the last guy. I suspect this will be another perjury rap, or process crime unless Stone hassome great scoop on Trump. Which I doubt since Mueller's surveillance should have revealed it. But right now, as Peter Strzok said, there does not seem to be a there there. In fact, as I said, look out for Graham and his HRC email inquiry.
  24. JC: I trust that Cliff is just working through his seven stages of grief and will be back to T3 soon enough.
