  1. Thank you so much for the schematic Bernice. My notes was inaccurate, as they mixed Hickey's and Bennett's placements. Thanks again, much appreciated. Would that mean it is SA Bennett who is seen behind Roberts in the Altgens photo, or is it Powers? And if not Powers, where is he?
  2. If this is correct (taken from personal notes), the Queen Mary had these individuals seated: Driver: SA Sam Kinney Front passenger seat: SA Emory P. Roberts *(radio), (assigned assistant to SA in charge) Left running board: SA Clinton Hill (front), SA William MCintyre (back) Right running board: SA John Ready (front), SA Paul Landis (back) Jump seats: Appointment secretary of Pres. Kennedy; Kenneth O'Donnell (left),Mr. Dave Powers (right) Back seats: SA Glen Bennett (left), SA George Hickey (right) *I believe Robin Unger recently posted some of the motorcade structure a little while ago, but I could not locate it right now. Looking at the Powers film that has been released, it is relatively obvious to me, that he is standing up in the car while filming. Now, after the motorcade has made its turn right on Houston St., Powers is visible in various footage/photos. Also on Elm St. Amongst them, are the Nix-film, the Muchmore film, and the Hughes film. These show him on Houston St., sitting down in the car, looking downwards it could seem like. At least in those short segments of time, which he is visible. Whether he is filming or not, is for others to determine. On Elm St. it seems to me like he has turned his sight of view a slight bit somewhat to his right in the Willis photo: http://jfk.fotopic.net/p37002837.html . He is still sitting, and again it would be for others to determine whether he could be filming or not. The same applies to the Betzner photo: http://jfk.fotopic.net/p37002840.html , except for that it might seem like he is facing more forwards. As I understood it, the Betzner photo was taken slightly before the Willis photo. The Altgens photo which John posted a crop from here, has many things to it. One of them is the absence of Dave F. Powers. At least I cannot see him, as I always thought the man visible behind SA Emory Roberts was SA George Hickey. Maybe it is I who have completely misinterpreted this. The man seems to have glasses, and I recall remarks on his famous 'grin'. If I have managed to be mistaken about this all along I would very much appreciate being corrected. If it is Hickey, where is Powers? Behind Roberts, jumped to the floor, or where?
  3. Thanks again Antti. I do appreciate it. The web and books are my main sources for information regarding the assassination. In this case I feel frustration due to my geographical location, and feel that contacting i.e. the mentioned school direct, as James proposed, would be a more suitable approach. Mack mentioned another article. And a longer qoute. I have not seen it, and would be interested if any of the members here could shed some light to which article this is.
  4. It could seem like his name is more common than I first thought. I do thank you for your input Antti. Searching the internet for information is a science in itself, and in that regard I really appreciate your inputs, as my personal searching-skill-competence obviously is limited.
  5. Thank you Chris. Interesting. Not too sure that is a miss.
  6. Thank you for your input James. That is a start.
  7. I do at all times try to locate information myself, before bothering others to direct me towards it. My search for information regarding Hodges has so far been futile here on this forum. If there is a thread already here, I would very much appreciate it, if someone could give me some kind of direction pinpointing in order to locate it. "Charles Hodges 17, a Dallas high school student, said he was taking photographs of the President's car when the shooting occurred. He said Mrs. Kennedy was lying on top of her husband, as if to protect him." - Chicago Sun-Times Sat., Nov.23, 1963. I am naturally wondering if anyone have any information on C. Hodges. As he was very young in 1963, it could be a reasonable chance that he is still alive. G. Mack shared with me his thoughts, and that is so far all I have; Any relevant input would be appreciated.
  8. In my opinion, see post #1 and #2. Thanks for the high quality scan Robin, and thanks for the colourization Eugene. As I already said, I agree with it being the back of the head, the hairline, and his left ear in the scan. As I also have already stated, in my opinion there is little if any doubt about this. Greer's right hand is also visible in the Altgens photo, as I have said that it to me seems quite obvious that he grabs the wheel 'simoultanesly' as turning backwards. Or maybe in order to be able to turn backwards. As he has completed his turn backwards to his right, Kellerman initiates his turn leftwards, as this is the moment Altgens captures. Maybe others too will observe this. The quality is not outstanding, but nevertheless. Trygve
  9. The Stemmons sign is not the only thing that seems to be 'leaning' in the corresponding ghost images.
  10. Also from the web, myspaces (a hoax?): "I'M NOT THE DAMNED ZODIAC !!! Like I told the cops, the knife I had the day those kids were stabbed at Lake Berryessa had CHICKEN BLOOD on it !!! NOT human blood !!!" Arthur Leigh Allen Male 73 years old VALLEJO, CALIFORNIA United States James, the Arthur Leigh Allen that died in 1992 was born in 1933. So is this person claiming to be. The photo is also the same, as I have heard. So the first conclusion is that this person is certainly claiming to be the person that was suspected as being the Zodiac. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...endID=126051241 Probably not more than some nice tactic to draw attention to oneself.
  11. Thank you John, for adding the link to my site. I have a few collections now. Will update. I take a great deal of fascination for the photographical aspect, as many others. I am collecting images regarding the assassination, in order to have easy access personnally. The second and most important reason I made this collection, came from me trying to digest some of the vast information on this forum, being fairly new. Due to the fact that the majority of members have a limit on their attachment space, the deleting of previous attachments is inevitable. But sad. Robin Unger has one of the best and surveyable collections at http://www.geocities.com/quaneeri2, and he is one of those that have been so kind, to let me add some of his postings on this forum to my collection. Thanks also to Lee Forman and John Dolva. Trygve Edit Feb21: Thank you for your kind words and helpfulness Robin. Also thanks to James Richards for additional material and valuable information. As said I am fairly new here, and in that regard I just want to express my gratitude to all those far more experienced members and researchers here, who have been so kind and helpful to me. I really do appreciate it.
  12. Thank you for that information Russ, on a closer look it does resemble a child. If I contributed to diverting this thread, I say sorry to you Robin. It was not my intention.
  13. Hello again John Glen Sample started this thread. Sure it was who you indicated who bought it? http://educationforum.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=9321
  14. Sorry. A bit of a slow-starter today, I realized the obvious problem. It is hard to upload a 2373KB - sized file, when I have used 409 of my 1000KB of attachment space already.
  15. To answer to Robin's post in my opinion; I feel that you are right about it being Greer turned around, looking to the back. Him appearing to be higher in elevation, is in my view due to the angle, and the fact that he straightens 'up' a little bit, when turning around. In the Z-film it is (in my maybe distorted view) very clear that you can see Greer grasping the steering wheel with his hands just around Z241-Z245. Maybe? he says something to Kellerman, because Kellerman, shortly after turns around too, and Altgens captures the exact moment Kellerman is about to turn around leftwards. He has just started the turn when Altgens takes the snap in 'perfect' accordance to Z255. Greer is then already facing backwards. I wanted to attach a file here now, but every time I try to upload it, I get the message "You did not select a file to upload". Very frustrating. It is not the best quality, but to me clearly shows that Greer turns around 'simoultanesly' as grasping the steering wheel. It is a small 2373kb sized file called "realtime_zapruder.mpa". Converting it to *.mpg does not help. I am sorry I cannot recall where obtained, other than it was on a website linked to in the past on this forum, on a previous thread. Maybe I'll manage to upload it, seems not to work now. But I believe those who have good copies, not too dark, will observe what I do. Please correct me, if the case is I need glasses. Thanks for posting the clear image Robin. I also wonder what "Hard Hat Man" is looking at, great observation Ron. Also the two women above Connally who have also turned to the left. The one to the right has focused on something a little higher elevated it seems. One question: Is anyone able to enlighten me, what happened to the face of the man to the left of the TSBD entrance? The one that looks like he is wearing a suit and some kind of Fedora-looking hat. Left left of Lovelady.
  16. Can anyone tell me when this photo was taken? And if it is the Lincoln used on the 22nd? Since members are forced to delete their attachments, it is not always easy to know if the photos have been posted before, and therefore irrelevant. If this is the case now, I apologize for the inconvenience. I am just trying to find a clear photo of the Lincoln between 1961 and November '63.
  17. Mentesana, and uncropped Powell. Thank you P. Lemkin for sharing the photos. Windows keep insisting I use Wordpad to open the *.doc-file that is downloadable in your post. And Wordpad can't open it.
  18. Superb captures Robin. Thank you for posting. By the way, following from http://www.acorn.net/jfkplace/09/fp.back_i...ue/guns_dp.html : "Action on the Roof Oswald's 6.5 Mannlicher-Carcano was not the only weapon seen in Dealey Plaza that day. At1 p.m. Dallas police officers were filmed by Ernest Charles Mentesana removing a rifle from the roof of the Depository. Unlike the Oswald rifle, the rifle Mentesana filmed had no sling, no scope, and protruded at least 7-8 inches past the stock, where Oswald's extended only 4-5 inches. [17] In the film two police officers are standing on a fire escape at the seventh floor of the Depository gesturing to the roof. In the next sequence the rifle is being examined. Fort Worth Star-Telegram reporter Thayer Waldo watched a group of high-ranking Dallas police officers huddle together for a conference just a few minutes after 1 p.m. on the day of the shooting. When he spoke to a secretary who was privy to the officers' conversations, she told Waldo that police officers had found a rifle on the "roof of the School Book Depository." [18] W. Anthony Marsh believes the rifle shown in the film is very likely a Dallas Police Department Remington 870 shotgun. Marsh notes that the Dallas Police Department used Remington 870 shotguns. One of the officers escorting three men in the railyards after the shooting was carrying a Remington 870 shotgun. [19]" I cannot recall at the moment where I read it, but I think I remember that those following frames were not shot by Mentesana, but was something from the DCA-footage. Atleast the following frames after the rifle is shown, where it is a shot of the window of the depository, and it is visible that it is closed. That was apparently taken another day. If I remember correctly that is.
  19. Very nice job with the frames. Thank you for taking the time to do this work Frank A.
  20. I am not either an expert within the field of ballistics at all. Maybe I am nitpicking (if that's the right word?), but I just want to share what I observe. Again maybe I am wrong, but I do think I remember (atleast when I heard of it), that when the "lurching forward" - motion, which appears in frame Z313, was "discovered", some(many?) stated that this would support the theory that Oswald fired from behind. I wouldn't even know if the movement indicated anything "ballisticly" speaking, I just know that the motion to me seems like just as much as a "tilt" or "flick" sideways, turning the president's head sideways, and forward (just as if he had turned his head towards Mrs. Kennedy.) It seems to me, that the head goes forward in a direction to the diagonal right (towards the knoll), as it simultaneously is "twisting" left. Just as you can move your head forward, or diagonally, and at the same time turn it to the left. As said I am by no means an expert. But if that "lurching" - motion which appears in a fraction of a second, WOULD indicate a shot from behind, it would then seem to me that this hypothetical shot had to have come from another location than the "nest" at the depository, just anglewise. A location to the rear and left of the Lincoln. (atleast more left than right) That of course relies on the positioning/aligning of the Lincoln in the street, etc. I am just speculating widely, and because of lack of expertise herein, and vocabulary, the circumstances and motions are hard to describe. Personally I do believe the head shot was just that. A shot. One and only one shot. Not two fired almost simultaneously. But that's not even the topic here. Sorry for the rambling. As I said I just wanted to share my observations, primarily to the movement of the neck/head. Maybe it is just a case of me needing glasses. It may very well be that. Anyway, I appreciate it very much, following this topic. Aquiring information from people who unlike me, know what they are talking about. Especially one I would like to ask one question if I may; I am not so steady in the English language, so I had trouble with the term "avulsed bones". Mr. Miller, is the avulsed bones the "area" at the back of the head, where it kind of looks like the president's hair is sticking out? (in theory the exit). I took it that way, and not you meaning a bone fragment in the air. By the way, terrific merging/looping Mr. Gray and Mr. Miller.
  21. If the Stemmons-sign was to obstruct the view from the depository's sixth floor, it must have been placed in the middle of the road.. especially for Z313. And it not being there, the Lincoln would have to take a most dramatic turn onto the sidewalk and up on the grass for the view to be obstructed...and to my knowledge SA Greer never did that.... I do not think the sign obstructed the view at any time. Atleast not the view a shooter in the "sniper's nest" would have had. Go to the Mary Ferrell Foundation website, watch the reenactment photos.
