  1. Hey Robin - I have trouble interpreting Couch - but it sounds as if he is placing the blood in the park - not alongside the building. If it was on the sidewalk alongside the building - why not describe it as on the sidewalk alongside the building then, instead of all the detail about the park and the little sidewalk and steps? There aren't any other steps in the area - only the steps to the pergola shelters, the large steps in front of the pergola structure, the front entrance to the TSBD, the loading dock, and the stairs leading down to Elm. I think Couch was confused, but was referring to the sidewalks opposite the building, in my impression of what he is talking about - he's on the other side of the Elm St extension. He is also referring to shrubs - this also says he is on the opposite side of the Elm St extension. He refers to the cops chasing - which is also what others referred to - like Roberts in the Press bus and Coley in his interview. Here's the question - when Couch says 'Parkway' is he not referring to the so-called 'knoll' area? He could not be referring to Stemmons. Dictionary.com park·way /ˈpɑrkˌweɪ/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[pahrk-wey] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –noun 1. a broad thoroughfare with a dividing strip or side strips planted with grass, trees, etc. 2. Chiefly New York State and Western New England. a strip of grass, sometimes planted with trees or shrubs, between a sidewalk and curb. Belin is trying to get Couch to give an estimate on the basis of the location of Elm and the underpass, is he not? Where else would Elm go under an 'expressway?' Remember - Belin isn't stupid. Worth noting is that if you changed 10 to 15 to 100 to 150, the directions would improve dramatically. 10 - 15 feet from the corner of the building is the Elm St extension - no vale - certainly is NOT the sidewalk alongside the building. 50 - 60 feet from Elm is NOT the sidewalk that leads from the corner of Elm and Houston to the pergola shelter - no vale. Sounds like Couch is in the general area of the Coley blood pool, if that estimate he gave was supposed to be from Elm and the [Expressway] underpass. - lee
  2. Lee...this photo is very interesting...when ENHANCED, it clearly shows TWO MEN SITTING ON THE STEPS. Email me and I will send you my enhancement to post. Who is the photographer? Jack Hey Jack, It's an extremely high quality B&W Bond photo that a collector had up for auction. I didn't get the chance to win, so I can't get any high res stuff out of it - that was a crop of the area of the stairs. 'Profiles in History' - the winning bidder, has earned a black eye in my book. Email sent... - lee
  3. Pity someone beat me out on an opportunity to score a 1963 first print of this one on eBay. The winner sniped me in the final 5 seconds of the auction and will not respond to my emails. On the stairs, starting from the left - what looks to be the unidentified young man that Hudson spoke about, Hudson, and maybe Stepman is still in location - hard to tell without a higher quality copy - this area certainly looks interesting. Even a guy that seems to resemble Badgeman peeping over the edge of the fence.
  4. Thx Lee for info & illustration. This bears looking into. Coley said he saw motorcycles on the grass. BTW, that quote: can't remember the reporter's name. Who? White House correspondent Charles Roberts account of the assassination from the Press Bus. QUOTE "At about that time, give or take two seconds, the motorcade, which most newsmen estimated had been moving at about 20 miles an hour, ground to an uncertain halt.... 'What's going on?' screamed someone from the back of the bus. At that moment I saw a man I believed to be a photographer - but don't ask me what kind of camera he carried - struggling up a grassy embankment ahead and to the right of the President's car, ducking his head as if under fire. He was pursued - or, at any rate, followed - by a motorcyle policeman who rammed his three-wheeled machine over a curb and, as it righted itself, pulled a pistol for his holster...." Newsweek, December 5, 1966, pgs 22 - 23. - lee
  5. Thanks James. In this frame two cops appear to be looking at something down on the ground. Also of interest are the young black couple standing near the bench, and the paper bag sitting on the bench. Thx James & Robin, I got the audio of Coley but not the video. Where did Coley say the blood was? Right at the head of the stairs, or where did he point to? Thx At the top of the stairs and that is where he pointed also - I can't see anything in the Darnell frames - I assume it would be off to the left or righthand side - anyway, here's a mock-up in which I used one side for illustration. Note that this is many feet away from the stain seen in the Darnell frames and the area designated as a liquid red pool on Roberdeau's plat. - lee 'What's going on?' screamed someone from the back of the bus. 6. Pat, This may be of some limited assistance - got it thanks to the suggestion [someplace here on the forum] of Tom Purvis. - lee
  7. Not yet sure that I agree - z414 is certainly a surprise. How conclusive for Hudson? Much left to understand as to what occurred on the stairs and in this area in general. - lee
  8. http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=109403 Hilarious! Thanks for posting that - this part [2nd quote below] was worth it. There is a scene in the fictional film 'The unbearable lightness of being' where the lead character's wife is being harshly interrogated - from the screenplay - classic. Last one for fun... The old stand-by: I don't recall that. I do not remember that. I have no recollection of that event. Those are great.
  9. Welcome aboard John - let's make some progress in 2008. - lee
  10. Take them one at a time Duke, that's my advice. False. I would suggest that the author of the book check again. In the first place, there is nothing that places the three individuals in the position suggested by Ball and the Whitewash save for the alleged Dillard photo, which he stated that he did not develop - but printed. In the second, in reading the 'testimony' of the three individuals, it is clear that there are numerous inconsistencies, which imply that at a minimum, efforts were being made to create a circumstantial and after-the-fact case to place Lee Oswald at the infamous and impossible shooting location on the 6th floor. In the third, these three persosns did not claim to have heard the rifle shell hit the floor. As to the first point, it's my impression that sufficient coercion resulted in a BS scenario that worked for the position being taken by Johnson's web of deception. What we have is a number of lies being mixed with truths - and which is which is difficult to determine, but at a minimum, we have individuals of more integrity which came forward and stated facts which shed dubious light on the 'official' account - one namely, Alea, who made it clear that the chicken bones were recovered on the 5th floor. Anyone that believes a sandwich can be made out of chicken 'on-the-bone' should also find Oswald innocent - they should also believe that the 'day-after pill' will prevent venereal disease. Any good attorney would have destroyed these witnesses in addition to their eye-sand-blasted buddy. - lee
  11. OK, color me stupid (me being the LN'er that I'm supposed to be) ... Is there an original image showing JFK's right hand on the back seat? If there is, why was it substituted? To what end? If there isn't, how do we know anything was substituted if we don't know - or at least can't prove (since there appears to be a difference) - what was there originally? Hey Duke. Looks like Clint Hill's foot to me. Kennedy is leaning forward - his hand isn't near that area. Hill can be seen in multiple films and photos with his foot in this location. I'm more interested in what appears to be the front entrance wound and the rear blow-out to Kennedy's head personally. - lee
  12. Hey Robin - I think what Gary is referring to is some kind of band or string or something which provided her with that 'bowl' shape. That Ashmore looks as if it coincides with Kennedy being slumped forward during the ride to Parkland. I am assuming that this is Kennedy's head - AOI highlighted in red. - lee
  13. Outline more noticeable here - Robin, what's your take on that flower-like object? ? - lee
  14. I agree with Robin's take - that appears to be Kennedy's head on the seatback of the jumpseat. Jackie is crouched behind, and Connally is erect, but leaning over towards Nellie's side. Kennedy's head appears to have signs of the damage indicated by the Parkland doctors. I also see the outline Robin. - lee
  15. Jim Murray Contact sheet with many thanks to John Woods. Hard to imagine all this trouble over a skull fragment, when Harry Holmes throws them in the garbage. Walthers appears to be keenly interested. No surprise that Walthers would have changed his story after-the-fact. Anyone have his original statements? I don't find anything in the DPD files except one report by 'B Walters [sic]' and it's not related to a .45 round.
  16. Hey Robin! Happy Holidays. That's a good logical solution. Here's a close-up from Willis. What do you think? I don't see two men in that position. BTW - did you know that Croft's headshot photo just happened to come out blank due to a mechanical error on the part of his camera? The other photos came out fine - just not the headshot. Isn't that great? Also, in speaking with Mrs. Skaggs, their photo of the headshot disappeared. She wasn't sure what happened to it - it used to form part of a collage that they had on the wall. It could have disappeared when her daughter moved, or when they took the photos over to a processing place. And of course, no clue where Altgens many other photos are - or if Bothun took any other photos from his location. Jack - Happy Holidays also - I don't have an answer. Robin's would work, but if you look at the Towner crop, which I didn't touch in any way, Hudson has on some kind of light blue looking pants - which could appear light colored in the Moorman. - lee
  17. Collage - Willis, Moorman and Muchmore.
  18. Hi Peter. I am assuming that the man in the bright red shirt seen sitting with Hudson [in the darker reddish shirt] afterwards is the same as the young unidentified man that sat / stood / separated / went prone with Emmett Hudson - so Yes. I am also assuming that the third man on the stairs seen in Moorman, Muchmore and Nix cannot be Blackdog Man because of his light colored shirt. Hudson, cropped from Towner. - lee
  19. Question: If the Lincoln is traveling at roughly 11mph, Zapruder is filming at approximately 18fps, and both the Moorman and Willis photo can be synched to the Zapruder film to provide a very precise estimate of the approximate location of the Lincoln and the time it would take for it to travel between the two points - where it was during the Willis 5 and where it was at the time Moorman captured it - how long would it take to fool people that someone was standing on the stairs next to Emmett Hudson? Answer: No time at all. Willis 1. The unidentified young man that sat and talked with Emmett Hudson before the arrival of the motorcade, separated from him during the approach of the motorcade, realized that the President was being shot and went prone, urging Hudson to do the same, and remained with him in some of the aftermath photos. 2. Emmett Hudson, Dealey Plaza groundskeeper. 3. Blackdog man. Although folks have tried to explain the third 'man' on the steps seen in the Moorman as the young man spoken of by Hudson, it doesn't work. Moorman 1. 3. ? How many seconds does the third man - or 'The Phantom' or 'Time Traveler' as I call him - have to arrive in this location in time for the Moorman, Nix and Muchmore? How many seconds would he then remain in this position before running away?
  20. Primarily a site to dump stuff. Evidence seems to suggest the use of a .45 during the shooting. 1. There is what Sam Pate has indicated he learned based upon his relationship with Hargis and other DPD, in addition to an FBI agent - that a man named Bruno used a .45. http://educationforum.ipbhost.com/index.ph...ost&p=55067 2. There is the Mae Brussel material concerning a story reported by the London Guardian - which indicated that a man with the code name 'Zed' used a .45 for the final shot to Kennedy's head. I think it should be pointed out here that more recent research indicates that Bormann committed suicide - and his 'appearances' were possibly the result of disinformation campaigns sponsored by the Soviets. Some stuff on the topic can be found in 'US Intelligence and the Nazis.' 3. There is the HSCA report on a .45 round clanging off one of the DPD Motorbike's fenders - which could help explain how a .45 round could have ended up where we see photographs of something that resembles a .45 round being retrieved. An enlarged and enhanced crop of the area attached. Wasn't able to quickly find the HSCA document... http://ourworld.cs.com/mikegriffith1/id173.htm Probably because he lived on 'Harlemdale.' John S Craig below mistakenly identifies Buddy Walthers as FBI. Buddy was a Sheriff's Deputy with the DPD, and appeared to stand guard over the round, which was scooped up by a man whom to my knowledge, remains to be identified. If I recall, someone informed me that this individual had been identified, but no bells are ringing upstairs on a name. http://www.acorn.net/jfkplace/09/fp.back_i...ue/guns_dp.html From the Whitewash... ... Brilliant Allen.
  21. Awesome - never read that before - could explain a lack of wreckage. Plus if Molina was aboard, it would explain how he remained living. Rorke must have been a real thorn in Castro's side no matter what. http://educationforum.ipbhost.com/index.ph...ost&p=44796 - lee
  22. No mention of Loran Lorenzo Eugene 'Skip' Hall Pacillo....
  23. Yes, Tim. Living as close as you do to Fidel, I would think you'd have a bit more familiarity with Spanish than that. Surely you've encountered an immigrant or dos from Fidel's "island paradise" in your neck of the woods...perhaps in the housekeeping part of the hotel industry, or perhaps as business owners themselves? I live way out here in the midwest US, and I'm not so insulated from immigrants that I don't know a few operative terms in Spanish. [A good phrase to know in a pinch is, "Donde esta el bano?", with the "~" over the "n" in the last word.] Not entirely relevant or of significant value - the full Spanish translation would be the equivalent of something like 'Saint Drug Dealer.' Santo and 'Trafficante' - 'one who traffics,' usually Drugs. So it would be no wonder that his name alone may have some drawn attention. This is well worn out. - lee
  24. Thanks Scott. That is essentially what I remembered. Plus I heard the same from another source. More like 'house arrest' or being quarantined. To Steve's point, seems like a high probability. There we go... http://books.google.com/books?id=YOWNw_rmT...nBgp1oHTn_vt3EE - lee
  25. Actually Frank Ragano's book Mob Lawyer has some details on Trafficante's situation - going from memory, I do not believe that this was the case. I don't have the book any longer - maybe someone else can fill in the details. - lee
