    In my once-over, I see A lot of information on David Yaras and Lenny Patrick.

    David Yaras is very interesting.

    I often find that handwritten HSCA "notes" and reproductions have a document that contains all of the typed originals. If anyone finds the original counterpart to this handwritten doc. please share.

    meetings with OC in San Francisco

     p.3 informant advised in November 1963 that in September 1963 there was a meeting at the Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco and present was David Yaras, his son Ronald, Leonard Patrick, Louis Tom Dragna, and Nicolo Licata. Dragna is a La Cosa Nostra member and Licata is an underboss of the Cosa Nostra in the LA area. Several weeks later the same group met again and present was Ernest Debs , an LA county supervisor who is a close friend of California Governor Pat Brown and allegedly a pay off man for big people in LA.

    Can you back up what you say with some more photos of Connally looking up at buildings on Main St.?

    I noticed that right away. Paul Trejo will probably claim that he though he had me on ignore, and thus, it was a mistake. But he does this frequently. It is an indicator into his reliability or, indeed, his integrity when he posts ANYTHING. Jason Ward never seemed to mind as long as he and Trejo could stand near the backstop, one of them placing the ball on the tee for the other, and then they change places.

    Trejo is so used to cunjuring up fantasies that he doesn't even care anymore. He just makes stuff up and spews it around. 

    Honestly,  we can thank Jason Ward for two things. One is that we all had a lengthy reprieve from Trejo's junk. The second is that he may have led Trejo so far down his own fantastic footpath that Trejo may truly find himself lost in the weeds,  and he very well may disappear.

    So and so probably refers to Earle Cabell, Mayor of Dallas in 1963, who goes unmentioned in this inquiry of Dallas officials at the time of the assassination. His employment with the CIA was a secret until the recent releases; but that CIA agent, doubling as the Dallas Mayor finds no place in this thread. His Brother Charles Cabell was Director of the CIA, and that is of no interest to the patty-cake game that is played by the two principals of this thread. This fact speaks to the integrity of the inquiry on this thread.

    Many reasons. Cuba was not one of them for the highest eschelon players. It was a motive for mechanics and lower eschelon players, like Cubans and their CIA brothers. For some it was religion, racism, moralism and some just didn't like his accent. Military acquiesce came from disagreements on strategic security. And then there is money and war.

    Low level players (think Hunt and Cubans), and the early though process of higher level players had Cuba on their mind ( think military and   rabid anti-communist ideologue). Later on the military (Navy) and the religious right though it better to isolate dark, catholic Spanish speakers isolated and maintain Guantanamo through isolation and antagonism. This also served to neuter the mob.

    As I have said before, my theory has the convenience of, with regard to isolation of Cuba and the maintenance of Guantanamo, being what actually came to be. It also explains why Castro was never killed.

    I am thinking it is possible that LHO was part of the operation. Not as a patsy. Not even necessarily as a willing conspirator. LHO could have been part of a plan to make Walker into a patsy if things did not go as well as they did and Kennedy had to be taken down at the Trade Mart or en route back to Love Field, and a conspiracy would have to have been obvious.

    I have felt for a while, and have said so, that the other plots were all part of the plan to keep the noise-level up so high that the sound of the actual plot would be buried in it. I am entertaining the idea that this why there were two Oswalds, the activities of whom kept guys like Angleton off-balance and confused. Walker may have been trying to figure out what was going on as well and the Martin film may have been his attempt to figure out what was going on. He may have been involved with our loud mouthed, unsophisticated, brash, and husky looking LHO; perhaps as a physical intimate with him as well. Perhaps Walker would have been set-up as fall guy for one of the back-up plots in Dallas, he would not even have to be there; he could have been set up as the prime mover for some Birchers or other right wing radicals who made their attempts at Tje Trade Mart or on the trip back to Love Field. This could explain his absence from Dallas as well.

    Regardless of Trejo's apparent reverence for the man, Walker was a failed military man, a godless homosexual, and did not, no matter  how much he tried or Trejo tries, fit into any camp that includes Southern Radical Racists, and he was more than expendable, he was an embarrassment.

    I just keep coming back to the feeling that it had to be Dallas. It had to be that day, and it could not fail.

    Whether it was war with Cuba to cover it up, Texas cessation, or a coup that turned into a skirmish that had to be suppressed by Johnson, it was going to go down because the plot was going to be detected. It was going to be found-out, and it was. Americans never really believed it.

    To be sure, this is not my final analysis. This is just where I am at with regard to the motorcade. I am quite sure that they could not be sure it was going to be able to be pulled-off in Dealy Plaza, and the plot was going to be detected. This determination informs my thoughts expressed above.

    I keep thinking.of how little LHO meant to the plot. I am of the mind that JFK was going to run into a hit that day, regardless of whether LHO showed up to work, whether the shooters could get a shot off or whatever other circumstances might have came-about that day. There were in all likelihood several back up plans in place, including taking out AF1 if all else failed. LHO is the mouse that has been made into a mountain; and so many continue to probe and dissect that little dead mouse while gargantuan monsters are yet to be identified.

    Dallas Mayor During JFK Assassination Was CIA Asset

    Earle Cabell, Dealey Plaza

    Here is the first major revelation from the historic release of previously withheld government records on the JFK Assassination: the mayor of Dallas when President John F. Kennedy was killed in that city was a CIA asset.

    We were alerted to this salient fact by retired military intelligence officer and author John Newman, who is conducting a thorough analysis of the long-secret documents.

    At the time of the assassination, Dallas Mayor Earle Cabell, brother of one-time Deputy Director of Central Intelligence Charles P. Cabell, had been a CIA asset since 1956.

    It is worth noting that Kennedy dismissed CIA Director Allen Dulles in November 1961, and that Earle Cabell’s brother Charles left the CIA on January 31, 1962, after Kennedy forced him to resign. Thus, both Dulles and Charles Cabell were no longer working for the CIA on November 22, 1963, when Kennedy was killed.

    Earle Cabell, who had been elected mayor of Dallas in May 1961, oversaw arrangements for Kennedy’s trip and motorcade, which took him through Dealey Plaza, a route that violated almost all standard rules for presidential safety — and where normal safeguards, such as sealing windows and placing sharpshooters, were ignored. This is of interest to researchers into the assassination, who have been collecting evidence of CIA ties to a host of individuals who figure in the events of 11/22/63 (see also WhoWhatWhy Editor-in-Chief Russ Baker’s Family of Secrets for more on this topic.)

    Below is Earle Cabell’s 10/17/56 CIA Secrecy Agreement, his CIA 201 file cover sheet (a “personality” file opened on actual or potential agents, assets, or informants), his 5/13/57 CIA Personality 201 File Request, and a cover sheet indicating that the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) reviewed his 201 file.

    It is quite remarkable both that this document was withheld all these years under the criterion that it was “Not Believed Relevant” (NBR) to the Kennedy assassination. Judge John Tunheim, who led the JFK Assassination Records Review Board, a 1990s successor to the HSCA, recently said he now believes that many of the NBR-designated documents are indeed relevant.

    This raises the question of who is determining which documents to release, what training they receive, and under what instructions they operate.

    Zfilm Revisited

    So here's the what IF: suppose Zapruder did NOT stop filming, suppose while filming this "initial" sequence, performing his left to right pan down Elm Street sequence he slowed his pan letting the lead car exit frame right, he then continued (not stopping filming) the pan down Elm Street with the leading edge (right side of the frame) of the frame just behind the lead car which is now out of the frame... He only needs about 8 seconds of a clear Elm Street left to right pan....

    What would that leave film compositor with? How about a completely clear, left to right pan down Elm Street....

    In short, everything needed to alter the original in-camera original Zapruder film... more than enough to convince the Warren Comission members and staff re shots from the rear AND of course, the SBT! (note: the ONLY audience of Z-film consequence)

    Is that what happened? Hell, who knows... but tell you what, this scenario goes a long way explaining why we might have a newly Zapruder film composite Elm Street downhill sequence running what appears to be on-the-level and even on a slightly up hill track...

    Think Hollywood.... "here's the footage, do your magic and above all, make it work! Ya got the most efficient film compositors in the world, Academy Award winning technology, Academy Award winning facilities, unlimimited dollars in the budget and you have 70 days (more than enough time), so get'er it done"

    also: panning film cameras too fast has serious blur consequences.... books have been written on the very subject, formulas created... professional cinematographers are well aware of the artifacts created by panning too fast

    This is an interesting angle on Zfilm alteration; an angle that have missed until reading David's post. I would not have bumped the thread but the board is slow right now and I have a question regarding something about which I am curious and have not been able to find an answer. 

    How do posts like this end up with crossed-out text.

    Secret Service security and press coverage for JFK pre-11/22/63

    Vince, I have been trying to sort a tid-bit of JFK scheduling out. Perhaps you can help. 

    Regarding JFK's Hawaii trip, his schedule is of interest to me.

    I have JFK arriving in Hawaii at 9PM Hawaii time on June 8, 1963; and departing at 5PM, on the next day, June 9th. That would be 11PM, Washington D.C. time.

    He gave his American University speech on June 10. 

    Any idea as to what time he gave the AU speech?
