  1. An aside, posted for reading myself tomorrow. https://slate.com/culture/2019/04/lyndon-johnson-robert-caro-affairs-misogyny.html
  2. Not to digress from the fact LBJ was corrupt but Caro was likely a CIA a mockingbird himself, jmo. https://www.bing.com/search?q=robert+caro+lbj&form=PRUSEN&mkt=en-us&httpsmsn=1&msnews=1&rec_search=1&refig=fd4bb6dd305d45a29a75ca2c34386f8a&sp=-1&ghc=1&pq=robert+caro+lbj&sc=8-15&qs=n&sk=&cvid=fd4bb6dd305d45a29a75ca2c34386f8a

  4. Three weeks of $300 for the evicted, https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=pissin+in+the+wind&view=detail&mid=F69B6B6AFBAF2DEC4EBBF69B6B6AFBAF2DEC4EBB&FORM=VIRE0&ru=%2fsearch%3fq%3dpissin%2bin%2bthe%2bwind%26form%3dPRUSEN%26mkt%3den-us%26httpsmsn%3d1%26msnews%3d1%26rec_search%3d1%26refig%3dfd4bb6dd305d45a29a75ca2c34386f8a%26sp%3d-1%26pq%3dpissin%2bin%2bthe%2bwind%26sc%3d5-18%26qs%3dn%26sk%3d%26cvid%3dfd4bb6dd305d45a29a75ca2c34386f8a If you listen all he way through... the answer my friend is pissin in the wind. Not blowin?
  5. Not to deride BLM or Michelle in any shape form or fashion but I thought Bernie and Kasich stole the show as far as powerful messages. Multiple moving statements from common people. Jmo for the few people who might have watched.
  6. As the thread is about Harris watch her real National debut in a couple of days. Watch the warmups too. They could have left Bill and Billary out imo. https://www.bing.com/search?q=dnc+convention+schedule&form=PRUSEN&mkt=en-us&httpsmsn=1&msnews=1&rec_search=1&refig=fd4bb6dd305d45a29a75ca2c34386f8a&sp=-1&ghc=1&pq=dnc+convention+schedule&sc=4-23&qs=n&sk=&cvid=fd4bb6dd305d45a29a75ca2c34386f8a
  7. I read yesterday about Oklahoma players being given last week off from workouts. 9 players tested positive when they came back. If I remember right a large chunk of UT's income is from oil leases on land they were gifted over the years. With the down turn in oil prices and cuts in state funding due to the economy they're probably looking for money anywhere they can get it with the added potential of a downturn in enrollment. Your the Psychiatrist and I imagine know better than I that many athletes like to party. Part of the allure of being looked up to as star or stud, getting all the pretty girls. No matter what the coach says they will still sneak off to parties. https://nypost.com/2020/08/17/georgia-college-kids-begin-coronavirus-semester-with-wild-party/ Along the same line I just saw this, UNC goes virtual after 1 week with 135 new cases. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/unc-chapel-hill-converts-remote-learning-after-reporting-135-new-n1236977

  10. Regarding the thread topic. I wonder if possibly as AG before she ever spoke publicly about the RFK assassination she might have been warned. This is something you don't want to go into if you want to continue your career. It's a federal matter. Some of her comments on the subject sound kind of I don't know, evasive, maybe deflective even obfuscation?
  11. Not for the sake of the party, but for the sake of the country. Things will never go back completely to what they were before this administration, either way. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/sanders-defends-harris-as-vice-presidential-pick/ar-BB181N0U?li=BBnb7Kz
  12. Yeah, I'm not optimistic. Locally with K-12 starting this week, as well as college classes and in turn frat rush parties I'm expecting a Boom in 2-3 weeks. Oh yeah, HS football is back, the annual Blue-White scrimmage at the practice field.
  13. We can't consider the Stone's and Miller's without bringing in another of Ruby's associates, Philip Bosco. Owner of the Bosco gas station where attendants filled the tank, cleaned the window's, checked the oil and tire pressure. And customers dropped off bets, paid losses, and picked up winnings. When called before the Grand Jury in Wichita Falls and asked "Did you ever receiver from John Stone or James Stone or Isadore Miller wager or bet information to be used in the business of gambling?", he pleaded the 5th. Along with the same for several other questions. So, "He was brought before Judge Sarah (T.) Hughes (yes the same one who administered the Oath of office to LBJ) "who exempted him from prosecution and instructed him to return to the Grand Jury room and answer questions. . ." He took the 5th again. "Reluctantly , Judge "Hughes scheduled a contempt of court hearing" to placate RFK's prosecutors."
  14. I'd like to thank S.T. for persevering with this issue and the opportunity to participate. It's an honor to be included in the pages with others I highly respect. When the issue didn't come out after the normal 3-4 months I wondered if he was having troubles but didn't want to bug him about it. After 4-5 months I thought he might have given up on the magazine. Congratulations on 005 Sir.
  15. As the saying goes Denial is more than a river in Egypt. Trouble is the people who need to read this the most won't, because they are in denial. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/pandemic-denial-why-some-people-cant-accept-covid-19s-realities/ar-BB1818Oh?li=BBnb7Kz
  16. A source I don't know how to find/reproduce. Looked at the National Archives Fort Worth where it's sourced to using CR-3-63-186 but nothing came up. Filed 21 day of October 1963 at 4:25 o'clock PM John A. Lowther, Clerk By Nina (?) Hatcher Depurty In The United States District Court For the Northern District Of Texas United States Of America vs. John Eli Stone, James Woodrow Stone and Isadore Miller No. 3-63-186 Criminal (18 USC Sections 1084 and 371) (26 USC Section 7203 ) The Grand Jury Charges: That during the period on or about October 1. 1962, and ending June 30 1963 , in the Dallas Division of the Northern District of Texas, John Eli Stone did engage in the business of accepting wagers in sporting events as defined in Section 4421 of the Internal Revenue Code; that prior to engaging in said business he was required under the provision of code 4901 of the Internal Revenue Code to pay to the District Director for the Internal Revenue Dallas, at Dallas, Texas , the occupational tax imposed under the provisions of Section 4411 of the Internal Revenue Code; that prior to engaging in said business he did knowingly and willfully fail to pay said special occupational tax to Said District Director of internal Revenue, or to any other proper officer of the United States. In violation of Section 7203, Internal Revenue Code; 26 U.S.C., Section 7203. The Grand Jury indicted the three of them on 16 counts of IRS and gambling charges.
  17. It looks like in reality Postal Workers are in essence front line essential hero's. Busting their asses in the most part on a daily basis, coming up, to get votes through. Hat's off to those who do. Even the NYT took notice. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/postal-crisis-ripples-across-nation-as-election-looms/ar-BB180apJ?li=BBnb7Kz
  18. I guess the cat's out of the bag now. The indictment was for John Eli Stone, James Woodrow Stone and Isadore Miller. Isadore and brother Dave ran the Enrique Shine and Press Shop, Three doors from the Carousel. John Eli Stone received the daily betting lines on multiple sports over the phone at Enrique Shine and Press. JR of Dallas was observed conducting business with Dave Miller. https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/jack-ruby-stands-with-two-of-his-dancers-outside-his-news-photo/576877640?adppopup=true Note the advertising for the Carousel in the front window of the Enrique.
  19. The Wurlitzer prize? CNN does have some informative somewhat objective articles as opposed to say FOX though I don't watch either. Nor anything with the prez actually in it. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=the+wurlitzer+prize+waylon+jennings&view=detail&mid=95C8E1C4074295B7D4D795C8E1C4074295B7D4D7&FORM=VIRE0&ru=%2fsearch%3fq%3dthe%2bwurlitzer%2bprize%2bwaylon%2bjennings%26form%3dPRUSEN%26mkt%3den-us%26httpsmsn%3d1%26msnews%3d1%26rec_search%3d1%26refig%3dd1966f30fcac4516b2d6aaaadbb908cb%26sp%3d5%26qs%3dAS%26pq%3dthe%2bwurlitzer%2bprize%26sk%3dAS4%26sc%3d5-19%26cvid%3dd1966f30fcac4516b2d6aaaadbb908cb

  23. d. in the link is interesting too. What cops were near 1026 N. Beckley, including car 207?
  24. It's 105 freaking degrees outside. The A/C is running constantly at this point keeping it down to 80 in here. Sitting under the ceiling fan, barefoot in shorts and a loose t-shirt, a glass of iced tea, it's not too bad. On a plague/school note. A 90% increase in children's covid cases in the last four weeks? The girl is right about them (me too) being guinea pigs. No matter how many precautions we take no one knows how this will work out. Though I've gotten more pessimistic with age personally and don't see things improving soon. https://edition.cnn.com/2020/08/14/us/schools-reopening-pandemic-lessons/index.html
