Paul, regarding "Ferrie's role in Houston". I just read a bit about this a week or so ago In Garrison's On Trail of the Assassins. If we might believe Raymond Broshears, who, Garrison says he had statements taken from three times and there was "little variation in detail from one to the next" then Ferrie was to fly two members of the assassination team out of Houston. To summarize Broshears said after knowing Ferrie for a few months he would talk about the Houston trip but only when he was drunk. He says he didn't believe Ferrie initially but after hearing the same story multiple times he came to realize he was not making it up. Ferrie told him a Carlos, a Cuban exile he knew from New Orleans who knew how to fly a single engine plane was to fly himself and another from Dallas to Houston. Ferrie was to fly them on a longer trip, to a never named destination, in a twin engine plane Carlos was not qualified to fly. I recently read something about Oswald taking a bus from New Orleans to Dallas at the end of the summer in 1963 after Ruth Paine picked up Marina. Not sure where, don't remember seeing this before. Earlier in this thread I questioned how he got the 7 little file cabinets from NO to Dallas much less the Carcano Ruth nor Michael remember unloading. I wondered how he toted them if he as I though Ruth said he hitch hiked from NO. Either way, if as Michael Paine implies, they were Oswald's files, how did he transfer them to Michael's garage? As the plague news and responses to it are depressing I was watching some of the better performances from Willie's Picnic wile I can. The stream subscription expires Saturday. I remembered one performance but not hearing or seeing the name of the artist. Found the performance again, still no name. Looked at a list of performers and thought I don't remember hearing anything by John Doe. He performed in the saloon on acoustic guitar with the house band, Charlie Sexton on electric guitar, drummer, bass and a Steel guitar. Not for real long but they jammed. The song was Burning House of Love, it involves revenge or maybe spite and arson. Wish I could link the picnic version. At least 3-4 versions on utube.
