Why did Ruth Paine and Marina not go down to watch the motorcade? Certainly if her husband worked right on the route, why not go down and let everyone see the motorcade and meet Lee during lunch? Did RP not read the paper and notice the motorcade route? Why was RP not interested in going down to see it? Such a huge event and you don’t go? No one finds this odd?

According to WC, Oswald stated in his initial interview that he was on the first floor eating lunch. He went to the second floor to buy a soda. Carolyn Arnold apparently stated that she saw him on the first floor. See attached memo. She later clarified she had seen him on the second floor however eating. She worked on the second floor. See Anthony Summers, Not in Your Lifetime:The Assassination of JFK, Headline, 2013, p.92.

Sandy, you have to ignore two witnesses, one a police officer. Then you ignore the co-worker who before the assassination saw him in the second floor eating. Him being there actually supports the point that he was not on the sixth floor and racing down the stairs afterwards which is noted by two ladies on the stairs after the assassination whom I tend to believe. I could go on but I see nothing that debunks him being on the second floor after the assassination. Feel free to change my opinion.

Sorry Sandy. I can’t buy that. I don’t think all these people were lying. I think the second floor encounter had to happen based on the evidence.

Ask, if it was Oswald, after witnessing this incident, why would he not mill around like everyone else? Why would he go back up to the second floor and buy a soda? That doesn’t seem odd to anyone? If he was outside and wanted an alibi doesn’t it seem odd he did not establish an alibi? Or did all the witnesses lie?

Lol. Good one. The point is pm photo is so unclear unless it is Oswald then it has no value in exonerating him.

I would add that perhaps the person was short and wanted to be higher up from the street or, had an issue with sunlight. Employee or stranger makes sense on the step.

He wasn’t. For the record Attorney Nichols was a highly respected attorney in Dallas. Mr. Knight, Oswald wanted an ACLU lawyer from New York apparently. He told Marina not to worry because they “had friends” that would help them. There was also a call-not by Oswald-allegedly made to Dean Andrews asking him to help Oswald. So, where did Oswald say on tape he wanted a specific lawyer? I don’t recall that. He asked for a lawyer and turned down-at that time- Attorney Nichols’ reasonable offer to help. Of course any criminal attorney would have jumped at defending him. The publicity would have made the OJ trial and Johnny Depp trial look like the least viewed episode of The People’s Court. Did the police then try to get confessions? Sure. So why did Oswald keep talking? Did he like the attention? So Mr. Speer, to respectfully point out, Attorney Nichols went to the jail on his own. He was not “chosen” as you stated. To follow is his testimony which explains the local procedures of the time as well in case others have not reviewed it. But Mr. Knight asked above where Oswald “refused” a lawyer. The fact is that as of that weekend, as David noted, Oswald had refused a lawyer, specifically Attorney Nichols. Now that was not a taped or recorded statement by Oswald but if you doubt it why would a well known attorney not tell the truth? Was he now part of the conspiracy in your view? Well that was not really a firm admission there. It could be interpreted that he was in the building but really more needed to be asked and answered to be clear.

I don’t understand. David is hardly a ghost. He graduated from high school in 1972 from a public school in Indiana. He owned a restaurant. Am I wrong David? What is everyone’s suspicion about his background?

Denny, I will ask again. You entered a grown up conversation so if you have relevant information please do share. The issue is simple to grasp. An author claims dozens of records are withheld/redacted regarding Ruth Paine. In response several posted that is not true. According to the archives actually one one such document (not counting tax documents) is still relevant. A request was made then by a poster to identify the records the author referenced. In response Mr. Lowe stated in part “There are many many documents still to be released that Reynolds would not have access to because no one has access to them.” Now, I asked the obvious question, basically how can an author know there are dozens of records when “no one has access to them.” Obviously, if they exist, someone has access to them. Then you entered in and tried to educate everyone to the idea that that documents were still withheld and/or redacted. For the record, we all knew. Just read past posts. Perhaps now that you have been brought up to speed you can answer the simple question. The author claims there are dozens of files still redacted/withheld on Ruth Paine. Tracey says otherwise. I wish to know which side is right here. If there are dozens of such files, who has them, where are they, identify them-if in the archives they would be identifiable, how do you know they are about Ruth Paine? Can you answer that Denny?

Of those 14,000 documents, how many are regarding Ruth Paine then? This a simple question not yet answered.
