So when Phillips said he didn't know him or hadn't heard of him, he was full of it. Trafficante put out a hit on Menoyo because Menoyo owed him big bucks for weapons and equipment. Enrique Molina, Loran Hall's friend, met with one of Trafficante's guys. Hemming always said Molina was G2. Larry, here are 4 of the Cubans that were in the Congo. Notice Ricardo Morales. It's from him that Otero learned about some of the participants and told Fonzi. Otero and Morales were later members of Coru along with Tony Izquierdo whom some believe was the spotter in the DalTex building. After Artime's group was dissolved in '65 Izquierdo and Slivano Poso were sent to Panama by Carl Jenkins. Steve, These pics came from Malcom Blunt who gave copies to Bart. The FBI and Cuban Intell both had copies. They do look like they were taken in a bank. I like your speculation on Fermin de Goicochea Sanchez. More later.

It looks like Cuban Intelligence also got copies of these photos from Zabala. Zabala continued to work for the FBI and was informing on CUIS (Cuban Intelligence Service). And if you've been following the docs, CUIS knew that Bishop was David Phillips even way back then. "In a conversation after the taping, CARLOS mentioned that CUIS knew that Mr. Bishop, who was referred to in a recent conversation between the source and CUIS, was an individual by the name of Dave PHILLY or PHILLIPS (phonetic)." This from the Califano papers. There is includes some of the Operation Northwoods doc. I've just skimmed the 200 pages but there is a lot here. You can smell Seven Days in May brewing... (1) Simulated attack on Guantanamo. (2.) Word flashed to the President. (3) President orders -counterattack to include: (a) Immediate launch of alerted aircraft whose targets are Cuban airfields. (b) Immediate launch of counterattack down strategic lines in communication in Cuba. (c) Fleet force standing by on alert would make way toward pre-selected targets /landing areas (d Immediate embarkation of airborne troops previously alerted to pre-selected targets.
