John,

A timely reprimand, for which many thanks. I have engaged, upon reflection, in wanton whataboutery, almost certainly due to the fact that I am a Trumpo-Sino-Putinoid disinformationist, likely with Barf Party sympathies. I promise never again to give time of day to Harold Pinter’s 2005 Nobel lecture & to infiltrate myself cognitively at the first available opportunity, perhaps while standing in the local supermarket queue for the lesser-spotted egg, vegetable and/or fruit, the rich harvest of sanctions against Russia. Upon return, I shall repair to my unheated study to acquaint myself with the thoughts of Chairman Bidenescu – The Tao of Asufutimaehaehfutbw – cheered by the knowledge that the compassionate adults are back in the saddle, even if the horse is dead and the fields barren.

Paul

Yes indeed, Paul. The vassal state peasantry should stick to growing spuds and never forget that the finer points of doublethink, sophistry and gobbledygook are best left to the overlords and attendant grooms of the stool.

Mark,

The problem is that your final sentence is debatable to put it mildly. In fact, it’s an example of the logical fallacy known as petitio principii (begging the question).

Can you not see that there were objective grounds for Russia to feel existentially threatened by the expansion of the USA’s cat’s paw, NATO, towards and up to Russia’s border and more insidiously into Ukraine, given the USA’s “full spectrum dominance” foreign policy?

And please deal with the self-explanatory concept of full spectrum dominance rather than, as others here have done, disingenuously avoiding the concept by focusing on its wording.

As always, such evasion is an admission of the inability to deal with the substantive argument, thus validating it.

John: Can you not see that there were objective grounds for Russia to brutally invade Ukraine and murder civilians?

No, we can't see your list as legitimate justification, John. You should know that by now.
Where I will agree is that Russia won't abide by pre war borders,

John to Mark:And please deal with the self-explanatory concept of "full spectrum dominance" rather than, as others here have done, disingenuously avoiding the concept by focusing on its wording.
Ok, let's break this down.

John:And please deal with the self-explanatory concept of "full spectrum dominance"
Oh, So  Mark supposed to inculcate your phrase in his answer? Stop BSing us John! Really!
Should Mark address you as "Mr. Cotter".

John: And please deal with the self-explanatory concept of "full spectrum dominance" rather than as others here have done, disingenuously avoiding the concept by focusing on its wording.

That has entirely nothing to do with the wording, John. It's your  repetitive use of apt phrases as a crutch. You obviously forgot as your using it twice again. That's fair game!
"Disingenuous"! oh boo hoo!
Wrong again! If you remember, I did address you and said I didn't think your definition was complete! You forgot that too.

Since I did review and answer your concept, and you're so demanding.
John, then for the third time,  "please deal" with the characters concept of  Western Hegemony in the meme example I've used asking for your comment. Do you need to see it again?

Yes John, the naysayers  mocked you , but you were right all along!

Or was that "full rectum dominance?"  Maybe we're going to have to get our U.S.  "cat paw" out and get that stick out of your ass. But that's going to be tough! Then maybe we'll have to "full spectrum" high tech it, and use our "jaws of life!"

heh heh

It's a joke John. Since you're so much into "terrific satire". I did the best I could.

John,

You and Paul Rigby are either very poor readers or very slow learners-- attributes that you seem to share with our MAGA-verse denizens, Ben Cole and Mathew Koch.  Ben, himself, has even likened his nocturnal diatribes here to flatus.

And I responded to Ben by likening this thread to Oscar Wilde's description of marriage-- "An institution where bad words are exchanged by day and bad smells at night."  🤥

(Unfortunately, my "scholarly" reference to Wilde's aphorism was censored by our administrators.)

I have already debunked your bizarre Rigby defense of Putin's war crimes-- based on the illogical theory that America's Neocon war crimes in the Middle East (including Operation Timber Sycamore) somehow justify Putin's war crimes in Ukraine.  They don't.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Russ Baker, himself, published a piece along the same lines, which I posted here recently.*

You and Rigby either didn't read Baker's essay, or didn't understand it.

William,

Since you again begin with insults and condescension, I’m not going to dignify your repeated nonsense with another detailed rebuttal.

What a pity, John.

I was hoping that you and Paul Rigby might finally explain to us how two wrongs make a right-- i.e., how Putin's war crimes in Ukraine are justified by America's war crimes during the Bush/Cheney/Neocon "War on Terror."

I have noticed during the past twenty years that some of my European acquaintances didn't seem to understand that many Americans-- roughly 50% of us-- never voted for George W. Bush and Dick Cheney in 2000 or 2004.

It is true that George W. Bush's low approval rating soared after the 9/11 op, but some of us were opposed to the Bush/Cheney/Neocon "War on Terror" from the beginning.

John, I’d just pop him on ignore, like the rest of us. The moronic, circular reasoning, only serves to waste our time. He just wants to play the “my brainwashing mainstream media network is better than yours.” I don’t think he ever reads the books he says he is reading. He’s have different conclusions otherwise. He is a very clear example of someone very conflicted, who rather than face those conflicts head on, would rather out-source the thinking to someone else who wears his colours, because it feels more comfortable.

Perhaps the greatest sin of man is being given a brain and choosing not to use it.

Matt,

It's, obviously, NATO's fault-- part of the woke, pedophiliac, Phil Spector dominance of the Donk left.

Ukraine needs to be radioactively purged of Western LGBT contaminants by Putin's fascist antifascists.

Check with Mathew Koch, John Cotter, Paul Rigby, and Chris Barnard for full YouTube details.
