There is a news story out today that Biden's physician consulted earlier this year with a neurologist from Walter Reed who is an expert in Parkinson's Disease.  My hunch is that Biden has prodromal Parkinson's.

On Saturday, the New York Post reported that a doctor at Walter Reed Medical Center with expertise in Parkinson’s visited the White House January 17, hosted by the president’s physician Kevin O’Connor. A second report, published by Alex Berenson on his Substack, Unreported Truths, revealed that the doctor visited the White House nine times between July 28, 2023, and March 28, 2024. (The logs run through March 31, 2024, and are available for anyone to access online.)

The doctor in question is Kevin R. Cannard, a neurologist and retired Army colonel. His physician profile page shows he is a neurologist and movement disorders specialist at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center who researches treatments for early phase Parkinson’s disease. Berenson notes that Walter Reed “provides medical care to senior federal officials.”

One, an emeritus professor of neurology who has not treated the president, told The Free Press he believes Biden “has Parkinsonism, an umbrella term that refers to neurologic conditions that cause slowed movements, rigidity, and tremors. By observation, he has a masked face, reduced blinking, stiff and slow gait, hunched posture, low-volume voice, imbalance, freezing, mild cognitive disturbance, and difficulty turning.”

Another neurologist, who wrote to Berenson after his story was published, echoed these findings: “All the disturbing symptoms we all see are called Parkinsonism. . . . In fact in medical school we watch videos of patients with Parkinsonism like Biden to illustrate to the students how this manifests.”

Bill,

If true, it sounds like Biden and his doc are aware that he is suffering from early stage Parkinsonism.

FWIW, Berenson is a Fox News affiliated anti-vaxxer, and NY Post is a Rupert Murdoch MAGA rag.

Robert Reich is asking today why the corporate media isn't reporting on Trump's worsening cognitive deficits.

   IMO, it's a reasonable question.

"Online profiles for Cannard describe him as a doctor who has worked in a “supporting” role to the White House Medical Unit for 12. years. He made 10 visits to the White House in 2012 when Barack Obama was in office. His visits during Donald Trump’s presidency are unknown because Trump rescinded the policy for disclosing visitor logs."

WH press secretary says Biden has not been diagnosed with Parkinson's, and is not being treated or taking medication for it. That's a pretty thorough denial. Yet the beltway pundits are acting as if they have insider knowledge that he does.

So one of the two sides in this fight is drastically incorrect, and will thus pay an extremely steep price for that.

Whatever the truth is, I hope the issue is resolved very soon. Like, this week.

Matt,

I told my wife, during the debate, that Biden looked Parkinsonian, and I posted my independent observations about that here on June 29th, before I ever read anything about the subject in the media.

The issue of whether Biden has been formally "diagnosed with Parkinson's" is somewhat different from the issue of whether he has exhibited Parkinsonian signs.  So, his staff may be relying on semantics to downplay concerns.

Let's face it. Biden's head in a jar is light years preferable to Trump.

As I said earlier, when Biden was in the driver's seat and decided to negotiate this debate. He should have insisted in each candidate showing clips of outrageous lies that either candidate may have said. You could go to Trump's lies and then segue into "windmills killing whales" and the" rockets red glare" with airplanes" , Confusing Obama with Hilary, with Biden over and over again!. This would have called serious attention to Trump's maladies. We know who would turn out  better, as Biden's forgetfulness, meanderings and loss of train of thought  could be amply displayed in clips of Trump as well.  It would have been novel no doubt. But if we had he same Biden showing up, I'm not even sure what difference it would have made.

They should have given  tests to both of them, but it's kinda too late. Consistency under pressure is sort of a hallmark evaluation in  the debate process and Trump's performance was characteristic and consistent. That is the scheming liar he's always been. Biden was just a new diminished Biden nobody had ever seen before.

The situation now is not fair, but life isn't fair.

Is Trump dumb enough to still pick puppy-killer Kristi Noem as his VP candidate?

Well, Trump is dumb enough to do almost any anti-intellectual thing you can dream up.

Is this evidence that he has done so? We shall see!

Hi Douglas

I was wondering which part or both do you agree with:

  • Blaming the boomers
  • Probability of a civil war?

I think letting the so-called 'Greatest Generation' completely off the hook is a mistake.  After all they voted for LBJ over Goldwater, Nixon over McGovern, Reagan  over Carter and Mondale...

On the other hand we boomers have a lot to answer for.  I told my sister the other day it looks like the only presidents from our generation are going to be Clinton and W.

wrt the civil war probability - I think a Constitutional Convention is more likely.

Marla Maples says she would be willing to be Donald Trump's Vice-President.

She's forgiven Donald and the whole family is rallying around him to help out.

In the words of one famous Church Lady...

Isn't that Special?

For real!

I have a new American SCOTUS social concern flag idea.

Lady Justice upside down.

I'm surprised no one is organizing large number protest demonstrations outside the the SCOTUS building ( and in major cities as well ) between now and the election.

Banners, signs ( my flag idea ) calling out this infamous six controlled SCOTUS for their abortion ruling, Trump bias rulings, religious bias rulings and just as importantly their unprecedented blatant billionaire pocket stuffing influence corruption.

I even suggest nationally broadcast "telethons" monthly with major celebrity appearances ( mixed with their moniker performances to keep viewership interests ) expressing concern about the true real threat of Trumpism on our constitutional democracy.

Young voters are not going to be engaged through 20 second national TV and radio political ads and bumper stickers and mailers.

A major younger generation appeal celebrity telethon would engage them. Imagine seeing Taylor Swift singing and afterwards personally encouraging more young concern and awareness in this age group of the importance of getting out and voting in this election?

Citing the most important reasons we have seen in decades.

Abortion, personal body ownership civil rights, gun control, income disparity, student loans, no one-above-the-law sanctity, extreme Trump bias, selective religious group bias and super wealthy billionaire influence corruption of our Supreme Court Six and on and on.

Too much of our vote eligible society is just not being informed of what's truly at stake in this election. This black hole of personal risk awareness can only result in non-voting apathy. Favoring the super aggressive Trump base which will vote even if they need an ambulance to do so.

This election will need much more than traditional campaign ads, buttons, flyers and mailers, bumper stickers and yard signs to get out the democracy threatening Trump cult countering vote.

Huge number participation national public demonstrations, national TV telethons, SCOTUS demonstrations, Diners, Drive Ins and Dives and Cops type reality show inventiveness. How about a 10 part "American Greed" expose on Trump and his family empire corruption over the decades?

"60 Minutes" Trump warning appearances.

Mass public speaking appearances and national media reported signed statements of 1,000 retired military Generals and Admirals warning the American public about the danger of electing the self-interest military manipulating and disrespecting Trump?

John McCain was no hero!" "Heroes don't get captured!"

Like the old Deniece Williams pop song..."It's Going To Take A Miracle" this election to save us from this Trump madness.

"Yes, it's gonna take a miracle" la la la.

"Yes, it's going to take a miracle" la la la.
To make me understand what's at stake

Why I neeeed to vote ... right now!
