  1. And with that, I will now take the McBride, Bart Kamp pledge. No honest person can read that affidavit and then say it was the same as the second floor encounter except he got the floor wrong. That is a clear and deliberate misrepresentation of the evidence. Bye Bye Davey. You and FC really do belong at Duncan's. I should also add. Its about 3:30 in the morning back in Indy. He really does not have a life.
  2. Oh please Davey. Will you get off it. Every single possible excuse that David Belin could dream up, you lay down here. Oh my aching back. Look, if this is legit, and it looks like it is, then its the closest thing we have to an audiotape of Oswald in detention. As Vanessa said, the DPD never asked Oswald to write a declaration, for whatever reason. So this is as close as we get to it. And, by the way, we can all see why that was today. Fritz was such a slimeball. I also believe that this interview took place before Oswald knew he was charged with JFK's murder. Which is important if its accurate. With it we now have about 2-4 sources that say LHO was either outside or on the first floor at the time of the shooting. But this one is the best yet. Thanks to Malcolm and Bart. If you combine this with the work Barry Ernest did, plus the fact that Baker never mentioned the second floor encounter in his original affidavit, then I think that is pretty probative. But man, what does this all say about the fact finding mechanism of the WC? It was worse than bad. They really were accessories after the fact.
  3. How many hearings have you had on this John? This was all done as they say in the USA pro per right?
  4. Nice one Ron. BTW, I should ask, when did Malcolm Blunt fish this out? And where did it come from, what collection? For people who do not know, Blunt lives in England but he comes over here every once in awhile to go to the Archives. He is simply amazing.
  5. OMG Von Pein is cracking up and cracking us up now. He is replying to Vanessa with the hilarious Brennan testimony and the dubious soda machine encounter. Number four on his list has already been countered on this thread pretty effectively. And Fritz's notes say Oswald was outside with Shelley. DVP wants to just ignore the difference between what was in the notes and how the reports were then assembled. In a court of law one would use the notes to discredit the reports.
  6. FC, first of all you seem not to know the difference between what Cinque was about and what Bart is about. They are two different concepts. Secondly, you did admit that a better image would provide better evidence. That would apply only to the PM issue not Doorway man. Therefore, it is possible to prove PM is Oswald is ever there was discovered a first generation print. So one cannot exclude the alternative that PM is Oswald. And we now have 2-3 sources that indicate Oswald said he was outside.
  7. BTW, that incredibly scrupulous historian DVP claimed above that assassins don't identify themselves as an excuse for why Oswald did not admit to the crime. Uh, what did John Wilkes Booth, a famous actor, do after shooting Lincoln? Now click through here to see what happened to McKinley https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassination_of_William_McKinley Question: Did Von Pein graduate from high school? Maybe that explains it.
  8. BTW, in addition to John and Mr. Metta, I think we should also give Maurice Phillips some credit for this new and detailed information about Permindex/CMC. Maurice was the first guy who actually explored the Canadian Archives for the Bloomfield correspondence. https://somesecretsforyou.blogspot.com
  9. I don't know but it does appear that Gelli was not just a heavy hitter in Italy, which means P2 had a really wide international reach. It does imply that P2 had some allies in America, does it not?
  10. The “Prayer Man” nonsense is being promoted by yet another snake oil salesman, Bart Kamp. He and Ralph “the fraud” Cinque should get a hotel room. I am so disgusted with these intellectually dishonest charlatans that I vigilantly avoid anything and everything with which they are involved.[Greg Burnham Feb. 11 2018.] If Greg B really said this then he is conceptually wrong. No one who knows the issue could conflate what Bart is doing with what Cinque is doing. What Cinque is doing was originally backed by Fetzer and was called Doorway Man. Its an entirely different concept than what Bart is doing. For FC to bring that confusion over here shows just how bereft his knowledge of this case is.
  11. I think this is what Vanessa was referring to when she mentioned the testimony of Holmes. This is from the original Sean Murphy thread that launched this whole idea of PM and LHO and it was quoted by Terry Adams. Mr. BELIN. By the way, where did this policeman stop him when he was coming down the stairs at the Book Depository on the day of the shooting? Mr. HOLMES. He said it was in the vestibule. Mr. BELIN. He said he was in the vestibule? Mr. HOLMES. Or approaching the door to the vestibule. He was just coming, apparently, and I have never been in there myself. Apparently there is two sets of doors, and he had come out to this front part. Mr. BELIN. Did he state it was on what floor? Mr. HOLMES. First floor. The front entrance to the first floor. ... Mr. HOLMES. There was a commotion outside, which he later rushed downstairs to go out to see what was going on. He didn't say whether he took the stairs down. He didn't say whether he took the elevator down. But he went downstairs, and as he went out the front, it seems as though he did have a coke with him, or he stopped at the coke machine, or somebody else was trying to get a coke, but there was a coke involved. He mentioned something about a coke. But a police officer asked him who he was, and just as he started to identify himself, his superintendent came up and said, "He is one of our men." And the policeman said, "Well, you step aside for a little bit." This comes very close to placing LHO outside, if the vestibule refers to the space between the outer and inner doors as one exits to the foyer. The other reason this is key is that it clearly denotes that the soda machine encounter did not take place on the second floor. PS My God, DVP is recycling that whole Bookhout nonsense which Bart Kamp exposed as a sham last week. So that means we can count Fritz and his notes. BTW, I don't think DVP knows what Bart means when he says Go Home. You have to be from UK. But i agree.
  12. Did not the notes of Will Fritz say that Oswald said he was out front with Shelly? That could not have been after since Shelly was not out front at that time, right? He and Lovelady said they ran across the street.
  13. Yes he does say that the brother of Peres was on the board. In my view, I think its an interesting book for more than one reason. First, it takes us into post war Italy politics like no other book I have read. Because Metta lives there he is familiar with books written in that language. Books I have heard of but never read since they were not translated. Second, he brings up a viable connection between CMC and P2. And man was P2 a really dark and interesting group of thugs. They were so bad the Anslemi Commission outlawed them. And they had a reach beyond Italy. BTW does anyone know if Harvey was on that famous list Anselmi published of members of that lodge? Third, the connection between this whole milieu and the attempted aperture finestra policy urged on Kennedy by Schlesinger is something to ponder since its pretty clear, as noted in the book, that these guys did not like Kennedy at all. Fourth, that whole Mitrokhin archives line that Permindex was a KGB disinfo story is now discredited. Permindex was what Garrison thought it was, a very murky and mysterious business entity which had some serious western intel connections. I wish Metta had made more of the expulsion from Basel and the eventual expulsion from Italy in that regard.
  14. BTW, I should add, as many as possible should follow Joe McBride's lead and write or comment upon this story by Tom Jackman. Maybe both. Write a note to Tom congratulating him and encouraging him to do even more. And then add a comment down below the story. I can tell you right now the other side does not like this kind of thing. My info is that the first person who called the Post about this story was none other than Gus Russo. You know the consultant to the likes of Tom Brokaw, the late Peter Jennings, and Dan Rather on the JFK case.
  15. Cory, JFK was not a lawyer. And you can actually tell in the transcripts.
  16. By the way, has DVP had a couple of bad weeks in a row or what? First, he looked silly with the wallet found at 10th and Patton. Which his mentor, Vince Bugliosi, actually wrote was Tippit's wallet. In my book, The JFK Assassination: The Evidence Today, I showed this was provably wrong. But somehow Davey failed to note this in his puff piece "review" of the door stop. Now, he is desperately trying to escape this new evidence through semantics, plus the fact that Oswald was never allowed the opportunity to write his own declaration. I mean, talk about desperation time.
  17. I think the reason that Oswald did not give a statement was that he never had an attorney. Also, because the police never plopped down a pen and paper and asked him to write down what he was doing that day from noon on.
  18. Now that is a really good one Andrew. Ron, we are taking a bit of a break.
  19. You know the funniest lawyer joke I ever heard was from Lamar Hunt. He said: My definition of a tragedy is when a bus load of lawyers goes over a cliff and there's one empty seat.
  20. Echoing Rob: What is going on with the Washington Post? I mean this is unprecedented as far as I can see. I really do not know how to explain it. But if i had to take a guess I would say its two things. First, Bezos is an absentee landlord. Unlike with the Graham family, he is not a hands on type of guy and its really kind of a trinket with him. Secondly, this Jackman guy must know Bobby Kennedy Jr. He has written about six decent articles on the RFK case of late. I mean if you remember the brutal Bradlee regime on the JFK/RFK/MLK cases, this is really a break with the insufferable past. BTW, from what I know, do you know the first person who called the Post about this story? Gus Russo. He even beat Moldea. Who I guess was in Manila on the beach with Cesar. Anyway, please post in the comments section. Send notes to Jackman also. Encourage this kind of uncensored writing on these cases. I cannot do it since I wrote the intro to her book.
  21. An insult to Von Pein's intelligence? The guy who cannot figure out why the DPD did not want three wallets in evidence on the first day? The guy who could not find one serious problem with Bugliosi's doorstop? Who the heck is Steve Roe?
  22. Francois: So you are saying that there would be no difference between the quality of image we have now, which I would say is maybe fourth or fifth generation, and a first generation print struck off the original? As Oprah said to Lance Armstrong, just answer yes or no.
  23. Thanks Norman, I kind of thought it was Cohen. WN, there is a lot of new information in the book. Its nearly 500 pages long.
  24. This is three places now that all say he was outside. And this one is from Hosty's notes so its the closest thing to an audio tape. Does anyone in their right mind think that the spectators were looking for Oswald while the president was going by and then being shot? BTW, has Davey been trying to find the first generation print of the Weigman or Darnell film?
  25. Davey reminds me of the Chaplin's cannon scene. The cannon fires. And the shell drops out of the mouth of the turret a few inches in front.
