The mere fact that they admit to finding additional bullet fragments is a severe indictment of any search done.

He was shot repeatedly with a rifle. Why bother to use something so exotic that might complicate the Oswald story. Performance expectation doesn't sound like actual results. Again a rifle jhp will do what you want it to do. If you want a round that will come apart radially use a Glaser Safety Slug. I was Norfolk Navy base years ago when the Marine Corp Special Ops showed me rounds that would defeat armored vehicles when fired from a handgun and a 12 gauge slug that would penetrate armored limo's of the day. When I was the training Sgt at SWAT in Detroit we had the THV round in 9MM. I put it thru 38 layers of kevlar out of our pistols.

I've never considered myself an expert on ammunition but after writing three books on ammunition performance in the real world and having seen a number of specialized ammo used by the alphabet soup agencies, I've never seen a mercury bullet.

I would suggest you get a spent ammunition case and see if you can bite it hard enough to leave teeth impressions. These cases are designed to retain lots of pressure without deforming and sticking in in the chamber and as a reloader I can tell you cases can be reloaded multiple time without splitting.

As somebody who was assigned to Detroit Homicide for two separate tours, Fritz's "note's" are embarrassingly unacceptable. I've personally taken statements in the murder of a drug dealer than ran 30 pages +. I was told by a coworker of Fitz that he was semi illiterate and as you look at the Dallas cases reviewed and decisions overthrown I find the whole thing an obvious rush to judgement.

Once again, its clear that ego will prevent us from listening to others and perhaps expanding our understanding of what really happened. I did two separate tours in Detroit Homicide and found that two investigators are the max you want wiht the suspect. More than that and they want to outshine the rest.

It seems to be at the root of a conspiracy would be the desire to go uncovered. When you start looking at who could control the route, the evidence, the autopsy, and any federal investigations you're far beyond a bunch of red necks burning crosses or even wealthy citizens outside the federal government. We may salivate on the Mafia or the radical right but it doesn't bare close scrutiny. Having known a number of feds their mantra is don't embarrass the bureau or the agency. Nor would they be content in such a case to hook up with folks who would rat them out. And I continually see folks advocating a conspiracy the size of Maine. It would not only be unworkable but unnecessary. When I was a trainer at NNSA we table toped scenarios where we could basically shut the country down with less than 50 people. Our bosses got so alarmed they classified the whole project!
