Chris Davidson's Muchmore "GIF" showing the " Running Man "

It was a bit dark originally so i have lightened it.

The guy in the red top seems to do a little dance, as he pans his hands and shuffles to his right.

No Jack, it does not appear to correspond, am hoping Robin will do the comparison, but

from a quick look, I agree........

I have been looking at the width of the wall that faced Elm St....

All I get is another.......?

and what else is new...whenever one gets into the Plaza..

Have a look, does it appear to you, to be not as wide now, than it was in 63 ??.....

Or..?

Thanks B....

Ten years ago I did this vanishing point analysis of the bench photo.

I suggest that the photo is not kosher.

Jack

There is obviously something wrong with the perspective in the "bench"

photo. I am surprised it drew no discussion.

Jack

Hi Jack

To be honest i'm not sure what i am supposed to be looking for in the image.

I am not familiar with the " Vanishing point" concept.

Robin.

Jack,

Changed aspect ratio and tilted 2 degrees CCW to get it this close.

Could parallax be causing the differences?

Thanks Chris.

Interesting animation. i have been sitting here staring at it for 10-minutes.

I did note that the top of the records building does not seem to be well defined in the B&W bench image.

Using tree trunk for reference:

This Lee Forman photo seems to correspond to the same angle as the B&W bench photo above.

I used the tree trunk against the Records Building facade, to alighn the camera angle.

Regarding how the deep shadows from the trees may have effected the appearance of Blackdog.

The image below contains a few questions.

Credit: Lee Forman.

A modern day photo showing how deep into the corner of the wall the

blackness descends.

How much taller are the trees today than they were in 1963. ?

Thanks, Robin...I had forgotten that I resolved that issue years ago...it was the SHADOW of

the building, not the building. My memory took a wrong turn on that one!
