I've never seen that before. Is it real? In what collection is that photo? On the theories presented: I think they are all over-simplified. They all ignore the fact that the body is not just like a large gelatinous mass. There are bony structures, muscles and organs that can cause a projectile to change direction and angle inside the body. We all know that particular wound was very shallow and did not hit any bone. Now, with the revelation that secret agent Sam Kinney found the bullet in the car and then placed it on a gurney. This certainly gives greater credence to my argument. It definitely would allow for the bullet's pristine condition. Thoughts? There was discussion concerning the back wound that the bullet could have been a "plastic" type or an "Ice" [sic] bullet, one which dissolves after contact. From autopsy-attendee FBI SA James Sibert's 1978 sworn affidavit for the HSCA: The doctors also discussed a possible deflection of the bullet in the body caused by striking bone. Consideration was also given to a type of bullet which fragments completely....Following discussion among the doctors relating to the back injury, I left the autopsy room to call the FBI Laboratory and spoke with Agent Chuch [sic] Killion. I asked if he could furnish any information regarding a type of bullet that would almost completely fragmentize (sic).
