I guess Ben thinks some dumbshit in the Magaverse has better ideas. I think he's done well with not many missteps. Ukraine has been admirable but missed some opportunities to front load an opposition counter while it had the chance. I'm not certain how much of their denial was real (wishful thinking) or deception but I believe they could have made it more difficult on Russia earlier. All he'll do now is commit war crimes by killing and terrorizing innocent civilians. His fate should be a lamp post, but the world will settle for some brave Russian with accurate aim. Matt, IMO, Putin is going to deal with the on-the-ground stalemate by continuing to escalate his missile attacks on Ukrainian cities-- the Hitler V-1/V-2 rocket approach. Mariupol is already a pile of rubble. 10 million refugees and counting. And his Cheka is already abducting and shipping Ukrainians off to the Gulag. Edited March 20, 2022 by W.
