  1. Very interesting information, but I cannot tell much from the Z frame here, except that it looks like Greer is fully turned around. I too would like to see the book. Dawn
  2. _____________________ Will try to find out. I no longer have the article, nor does Harvery, but I will check to see if he remembers who published it. Dawn
  3. . Now if JFK's assassination had originally been planned to link the assassin to Castro, thereby legitimising retribution via an invasion,is it possible, given the same expected outcome, that the people responsible for northwoods were, at least at the planning stage, responsible for JFK's murder? _______________________ I think this is at the root of what happened, (along with all the LBJ stuff). Vietnam and Cuba and JFK's peace plans for both are at the heart of his murder by those who did not desire such a resolution, IMO. Then to pin the murder on Castro was perfect. I do not believe for one second that LBJ actually ever meant the words that JFK was trying to get Castro but Castro got him first. I believe this was said for the tapes. For the cover-up. Dawn
  4. As I mentioned in an earlier thread on this topic, Harvey Yazijian (of The Assassination Information Bureau) researched and wrote an article on this death within a year or so of it happening. I recently asked Harv if he had a copy of the article around, and he said he'd check, but it's really been so long. I believe it may have been for Boston Magazine, not certain. What I am certain of however is that his research pointed strongly to foul play. Dawn
  5. ____________________________ The Turner article states that " J. Timothy Gratz disclosed that Segritti met with him in Madison and urged him to reruit persons to perform mischief against Democratic candidates. Segretti's machinations were so suspicious Gratz said that he got in touch with CREEP headquarters in Washington". There is nothing about Tim setting up Bremmer in this article. Dawn
  6. Do you think Vince would be willing to join us on the Forum? It would be fantastic if he was willing to share his great knowledge on the case with us. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> _______________________ I will send him an email and ask him, but I do not think he participates in any forums. He and his old pal Marty Schotz have a group that participates in emails on this and other relevent issues. But I seem to recall he was reluctant to come onto a forum. But won't hurt to ask. Dawn
  7. An article by Jeff Gerth which first appeared in Penthouse Mag the summer of 1974 called "Richard Nixon and Organized Crime" is reprinted in my old boyfirend Harvey Yazijian (and SId Blumenthal's) "Government By Gunplay." This book came out in 76 and so is likely very hard to get. I have not read this article in MANY years, but I remember when it first came out in Penthouse thinking it was an excellent piece. It thoroughly convinced me that Nixon had come up thru the ranks due to his Mob connections. One of my all-time favorite quotes is also reprinted here by Gerth: "Organized Crime will put a man in the White House someday and he won't even know it until they hand him the bill" - Ralph Salerno former New York Police Department expert on Organized Crime and co-author of "The Crime Confederation" The book is full of such excellent articles, including one called "The Shooting Of George Wallace", by William Turner. 9. Robert: That's priceless. Now I'm convinced Tim Dawn
  10. Just saw the great news about the success of Live 8. I am just soooo proud of rock and roll today. Bono actually sat in on this!!! Wow, who would have imagined it? I remember last weekend someone saying to me "what good do you think a damn rock concert can do"? I just said "we shall see". YEA!!!!! Dawn today the world feels a whole lot more united.
  11. John: Thank you for posting this WONDERFUL speech. I saw it in person and that was the first time I ever met Vince. We became friends that evening and have corresponded since. He is just the nicest man imaginable. Brilliant, but not at all an ego maniac. I am so glad that everyone on the forum can read (and re-read) this masterpiece from one of the community's true stars. Dawn
  12. Tim: Ya got a LOT of "splanin" to do it would seem. Re: Dirty tricks against McGovern: In addition to breaking the Eagleton/psychiatrist story, there was a second dirty drick that ws a lie: that Eagleton had been convicted of drunk driving. Those two revelations made McGovern look like a bumbling idiot for selecting Eagleton. This lie stood for weeks during the summer of 72. As the revelations of Watergate raged on as well. Come Novemeber Criminal Nixon won in a landslide and thoroughly good man George McGovern was almost never heard of again. I am reading David Brock's "Blinded By the Right" and I highly recommend it. Dirty tricks and "the right" are synonymous. Dawn
  13. I can recommend an excellect book: The Martin Luther King Assassination, by Phil Melanson Dawn
  14. ________________________________ GREAT SONG. I saw U-2 live over 20 years ago and when they played this song "Pride in the Name of Love" I actually felt PATRIOTIC, something I was not used to feeling. I thought this song should be the National ANthem. For years I had these lyrics framed on the wall to my law office. Oh, John that line DOES refer to Jesus. It's well known that U-2 are Christians. Did everyone see Bono open with Paul yesterday at Live 8? It was GREAT. Here in the states they repeated two hours of the concert on network tv from 7-9. So I watched it again. Great concert, and so moving and inspiring to see all the people all over the world. My only complaint, and it was a major one, was all the commercials in the middle of this great music. Once again loving rock musicians are taking a major stand against poverty...the religious leaders of the world should have been ashamed yesterday. Yea for rock and roll!!! And Bob Geldoff....there are no words. Dawn
  15. As far as whether or not someone would eventually tell their children...Tim, are you unaware of some WWII vets who were so traumatized of what they saw--and what they participated in--that they never spoke of their wartime experiences, even to their children? If there was a participant in the JFK assassination who actually witnessed Kennedy's head exploding, is it totally inconceivable in your mind that this person may have been traumatized to the point that they refused to speak of the incident for the rest of his/her life? ___________________________ Point well taken. My dad was in Italy in WW11. On Sat. mornings after his kids were born he would listen to Italian opera and become very emotional. Never ONCE in my life did he talk about his terribly traumatizing wartime experience. Only after his death did I learn that he had to send all the boys "out to the front". I also agree that being involved in this conspiracy would also mean silence. Why would anyone EVER tell their kid(s) that he had been involved in the murder of JFK???? Hardly a way to have one's child look up to dad. Dawn
  16. An interesting response by Mr. Dealey. Received from Tim Carroll. Dawn [From: Timothy Carroll <timcarroll05@sbcglobal.net> Date: Tue, 1 Feb 2005 14:25:04 -0800 (PST) Dear Mr. Dealey: I am curious about the following quote: "(DCC). It was an organization that would effectively 'rule' Dallas for the next 4 decades, until it was dissolved in the 1970's." As we know, the Dallas Citizens Council has not been "dissolved," so I was wondering what was meant in the making of this statement. Any information you can provide will be appreciated. Tim Carroll Tim, It is true that the Dallas Citizen's Council is still around today. In fact, one of my cousins, Robert Dechard Jr., is a member. (Also the CEO of Belo corporation.) What I should have said was that around the 1970's, the power of the DCC was greatly diminished. The elected Mayor and City Council, and City Manager came into their own, and were less controlled and empowered by the DCC. The design and creation of Dallas Ft Worth International Airport was, for the most part, the DCC's "last hurrah" as the 'power brokers' behind the City of Dallas. They are still around, and do influence things, but they are not the "power" that they were during their heyday, under Robert L. Thornton. Of course, different parties have different ideas about the influence the DCC had (and has) over the official City Government. All levels could be debated. But I should not have used the word "dissolved".
  17. _______________________ Now this is a sterling example of twisting someone's words to suit one's own dubious purpose. Tim please CITE John's words calling anyone here a "criminal" for disagreement. Dawn
  18. I think all that John should require is that to post on a thread you ADD to it, not take it over with your own personal agenda. For some reason I had not read anything on this thread and last night read most of it. When going from day to day with posts, Tim's same old gets annoying, but when attempting to read a long thread from start to finish in one sitting, and having to consistently "go around" these annoying posts they take on a whole new sense of insidiousness. I have come to the conclusion that this is TIm's whole deal: take over the conversation, break up the dialogue, stear it back to Castro. In short don't let the information build, but keep having to come back to discussions of English grammer, libel suits over your opinion, and of course, that Castro really did do this. I found my self getting very peeved at this last night. It seemed so obvious that this was very staged. Kudos to the other posters here for not letting yourselves be pulled into these diversions for too long, but kept gettig back to the thread itself. I now see Tim's presence here in a more sinister light. I do not think he cares at all who killed JFK. He's got his fall back CIA position and so long as he just spreads this over and over he achieves his clear purpose: hyjacking every thread to become a personal argument with him, or inserting his right wing view. What EVER the subject he changes it and brings it back to his one mantra. I no longer see this as merely "an honest disagreement". Dawn
  19. There is some evidence that Bennett was Deep Throat (I will post on this later). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ____________ I think a lot of people believe Bennett was Deep Throat in spite of the new revelations re Mark Felt. Will look forward to your post on this. Dawn
  20. I was living with relatives that year in Quincy Massachusetts, in the 8th grade. (My parents were both ill in Canada). I was very excited as JFK was coming to Boston to speak close to Christmas time. On that horrible day I was in school and the teacher announced that the president had been shot. I remember running to my aunt and uncle's home, crying and praying all the way. WHen I arrived JFk's death was announced. Like most of the country I was in front of the tv all that weekend. From the start I thought two things: conspiracy and LBJ. Now I realize that a lot of people had this same mindset. "Who benefits?" . Dawn
