Using various techniques, ICO appears to have told the important aspects of the assassination from their point of view, and they chose to tell their story with decodable anagram puzzles - damn it! Without getting too tangled up in my hypothesis, Oswald’s obviously "swollen" head in the photo might well be the intended result of this anagram of “LEE HARVEY OSWALD”: “O, A VERY 'SWELL' HEAD” Tom (Of course, if you want to get tangled up in my hypothesis, check out post #30)
  6. Thanks Tommy, your comment above makes sense. If Oswald was intentionally away from his assigned position (to save his own life), he might have wanted to be someplace with lots of witnesses around, yet someplace where he could keep a low profile; like in the shadows of the TSBD entrance. Speculating further, maybe Oswald’s assigned position required electricity (being at-the-ready in one of the elevators, or something), and it was Oswald or one of his cohorts that cut the power so Oswald had a good excuse for not being where is was supposed to be.   7. Thanks Paul, you did all that in under 30 minutes, and you got me. And now that I see it in print, some part of my so-called brain does remember reading that. You and I exchanged emails a while back when you were trying to get a set of very cool prints of the backyard photos, and as I recall, your source fell through somehow. Many of us have spent a great deal of time studying and puzzling over the backyard photos, and I think most of us are irritated that we can’t work with the best examples possible. So it might make sense to ask the people that are following this thread to post what they think is the best rendering of the backyard photo under discussion - or all four photos, for that matter. And as for me, I’d prefer uncropped. Tom

Hi Tommy, What makes sense, at least to me, is that the plan was to have Oswald think he was performing some sort of necessary function in a secluded place on one of the upper floors of the TSBD. He would have been shot and killed there at 12:33, by whomever, and the Carcano would have been with him in the pool of blood. It makes sense that Lee knew what was happening and was intentionally out of position. What makes less sense, is why he wasn’t having a photo opportunity out on Elm Street wearing a bright red sweatshirt with “LHO” written across the front. Tom

I’ll add a hypothetical scenario to Andrej’s list: Scenario 4: Lee Oswald and two other low-level spooks found themselves tangled up in the assassination scenario of Ferrie/Banister/Hoover, and, being men with principles, they took steps to prevent the assassination, and they littered all of their various activities with puzzling enigmas, the explanations for which could be found in their solvable anagram puzzles. The trio called themselves “ICO” (which stands for “Igor”, “Case”, and, “Oswald”), and several months before the assassination they recruited at least two civilians and put them into position. One of those recruited civilians was Buell Wesley Frazier. Many of ICO’s anagram puzzles are taken from naturally occurring anagrams inside the names of the ICO members, and Lee Oswald’s leaning tower of Pisa pose is one of those. “LEE HARVEY OSWALD” anagrams to: (1) “L HEAD OVERLAY WES” (2) “WESLEY HAVE A L ROD” (3) “HO, WES, A LEVEL YARD” In my hypothetical scenario, anagrams such as the three above appear to be the genesis for this particular ICO stunt. The photographs were taken at “214 WEST NEELY STREET”, and the house faces True North. The teetering Oswald figure is tilted both toward the house (North), and toward the camera (West), so Lee is teetering N-West. in order to anagram this address, we need to translate “214” into the letters “CBE” using the universal letter/number translation devise at the bottom of this post. “CBE WEST NEELY STREET” anagrams to” “LEE TEETERS N-WEST. BY C” The “C” at the end is the likely creator of this stunt, “Case Nagell”. But then there’s this anagram of “CBE WEST NEELY STREET”: “WESLEY BEST TEETER. CN” And, “B WESLEY SET TEETER. CN” The address “214 WEST NEELY STREET” is “18” characters, or “18-bits”. Buell Wesley Frazier was born in 1944 and was 19 in 1963. Translating a few letters to numbers, “CBE WEST NEELY STREET” anagrams to: “1944 WESLEY CENTER. 18-BT” And, “SECRET TEEN: B WESLEY - 19” Thanks Ray Mitcham for straightening up the composite photo of Wesley and Lee. “CBE WEST NEELY STREET” anagrams to: “L EYE TEST: CENTER B WES” If in fact we are being told that Lee’s face was put on Wesley’s body, ICO probably left us a lot of other stuff to find, and I hope somebody finds it.   12. Thank you Tommy, I think I understand your point now. A separate issue then, is “Oswald’s” very black and crisp shadow, which appears to be at odds with all of the other light gray and fuzzy shadows in the photo, vis-a-vis the posts in the picture, etc. “If” one were to convincingly insert a fake person into a backyard scene, one would need to create a convincing shadow, and “Oswald’s” shadow looks fake to me, that's all.   13. The body shadow looks way too dark and way too crisp in comparison to the other shadows in the photo. It would be interesting to see what somebody like Andrej Stancak could do, demonstrating for us what "Oswald's" predictable shadow pattern would look like.
  14. Hi Steve, According the Sharper’s statement, shortly after the shooting, a white male entered the Dal-Tex building by the freight entrance and asked to use the phone. Sharper took the man to the third floor and brought him back down about seven minutes later. Sharper described the man as “30 to 35, attired in a light colored overcoat and a light colored felt hat.” This doesn’t sound like a description of Larry Florer.   17. Hi Jim Hargrove, In post #47 you supplied the following link: http://ctka.net/2015/JosephsRiflePart1.pdf Near the bottom of page #61 is a photostat of an FBI doc. It reads in part: “The order showed the remitter as A. Hidell, P. O. Box 2915, Dallas, Texas. This box was rented in the name of J. H. Oswald on a draft registration card which he had in his pocket, and his name was also shown on his box application card in New Orleans as being entitled to receive mail in the box.” While it’s reasonable to assume that “J. H. Oswald” is a typo in this doc, with the “J” substitution, this combination of letters can be turned into an anagram puzzle, albeit a very small one. If this “J” in “J H Oswald” has shown up elsewhere, it might be meaningful. So my question is, is there Post Office paper-work showing the name, “J H Oswald” associated with P.O Box 2915? Tom
  18. Robert asked: “Why is C2766 the only Carcano made after 1922 that does not have the Fascist Date? Why does the date on C2766 look painted on, while other rifles have their dates stamped into the metal?” I don’t know if my hypothetical answer will be satisfying to anyone, but I do have one to offer. It will involve a short puzzle, however, and I’ll be brief: My hypothesis in a nutshell is that Richard Case Nagell reworked a Carcano and "ETCHED" in his own specific serial number to screw up Hoover’s carefully laid paper-trail designed to frame Oswald. "C-2766" was not the Klein's Carcano supposedly shipped to A Hidell. I offer a more complete explanation in my thread linked below: http://educationforum.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=22752 Using the universal letter/number translation device at the bottom of the post, “C-2766” translates to “CCHGG”, and “1940” translates to “TEA”. This gives us eight letters: “CCHGG TEA” This anagrams to: “C ETCH GAG” “C” stands for “CASE” I’m sure there’s a lot more to this. My guess is that every number, letter, and symbol on that rifle had been put there by Nagell to potentially reveal meaning for us to ponder. What else is etched on C-2766, Robert? I will try not to divert this thread, but I’d like to point out that there is a third point of view: That Oswald did order a Carcano from Klein’s as part of his Ferrie/Banister/Hoover patsy bona fides, but that C-2766 was not that rifle. Working to thwart both the assassination and the framing of Oswald, Lee’s second “Ringer” Carcano, C-2766, was fabricated/modified by Richard Case Nagell. How Richard messed up Hoover’s paper trail, and how he told us about it, is the topic of the thread linked below.   20. According the Wikipedia article linked below, there were somewhere between 2,063,750, and, 3,000,000 Carcano rifles of all variants produced between 1890 and 1945. The maximum number of unique serial numbers using four numbers only, would be 9,999, and adding just one letter would bring the possibilities up to 259,974 - about a quarter of a million.   21. “ICO” stands for “Igor”, “Case”, “Oswald”, and my reading of the ICO puzzles indicates that Richard Case Nagell fabricated/modified a Carcano baring the serial number “C-2766”, and that one of his ICO crew pulled a switcheroo on assassination day; the rifle that was found at the TSBD, C-2766, was not the Carcano matching Hoover’s carefully laid paper trail. This was done to throw a monkey wrench into Hoover’s frame of Oswald, and one need only look at John Armstrong’s and Jim Hargove’s fine work to see what a mess Richard made of that aspect of Lee Oswald’s patsy bona fides. Richard’s ICO puzzles are salted with many smaller side puzzles that yield up this bogus serial number, and my last post ended with this final puzzle answer: “C-2766, WORSE”, which decoded and anagrammed to: “C-276...XEROX. 88-18” Here, we are being told that “C-276...” is a copy, and we are being sent to puzzle “88-18” in Oswald’s Historic Diary for more information. The complete list of “88” Diary puzzles is in post #14 at the link below. http://educationforu...he oswald code" Puzzle “88-18” is: “(sick persons.)” “SICK PERSONS” anagrams to: “ICO PRESS: K SSN” As it turns out, “C-2766” can be puzzled out of Kennedy’s Social Security Number. Here’s another anagram of Diary puzzle “88-18”, “SICK PERSONS”: “i.e. R COPS K SSN” Kennedy’s Social Security Number is, “026-22-3747”, and Richard Case Nagell obviously recognized a “C-2766” puzzle lingering in that SSN. Let’s see if we can puzzle it out the way Richard would have wanted. Here is Kennedy’s number spread out a bit: “0 2 6 2 2 3 7 4 7” Next, we will merely translate a few of the numbers to letters using the standard letter/number translation devise at the bottom: “A C 6 C 2 3 7 E H” Now we can make this anagram: “C-27... ‘6’, 3 EACH” The puzzle answer is telling us we get to have three “6”s instead of just one: “C-27..., 666, 3 EACH” Now by translating a couple of numbers and letters, we can make this anagram: “C-2766 AGE, HD-2” This is our final puzzle answer, and it appears to promise to reveal the age of “C-2766” if we go to puzzle number “2” in Oswald’s Historic Diary. The complete list of “88” diary puzzles is linked above, and puzzle #2 is: “STUDET” Oswald’s Historic Diary makes heavy use of ICO’s “DT” cypher, and several puzzle answers spread around my posts point this out. “STUDET” is suggesting we could make this anagram: “DT: SUET” A..B..C..D..E..F..G..H..I..J..K..L..M..N..O..P..Q..R..S..T..U..V..W..X..Y..Z K..L..M..N..O.P..Q..R..S.T.U..V..W..X..Y...Z..A..B..C..D..E..F..G...H..I...J Since “DT” is an instruction, we loose it, and are left with this: “SUET + CEOD” From those eight letters we can make this anagram: “23 OUST 44” We came to this puzzle, “HD-2”, expecting to find the “AGE” of “C-2766”, and it looks like we have. A “23” year old rifle in 1963 would have been made in 1940. One of the ICO crew switched Richard’s 1940 C-2766 on assassination day for the Klein’s rod, which according to this puzzle answer was “ousted” and would have been 44 years old in 1963 - a 1919 Carcano, the year production ceased on one version of 6.5mm rifle. I’m going to finish decoding the puzzle answer “23 OUST 44” in a footnote, but while we have the “DT” cypher handy, let’s apply it to “A HIDELL”, the name that would have aligned with Hoover’s intended Carcano paper trail (serial number unknown, at least by us). “A HIDELL + K RSNOVV” And the 14 letters above anagram to: “A KLEIN’S ROD. HO/VV” "HO/VV" = “Harvey Oswald/Vladimirs Vaganov” Two final anagrams that are slightly off topic, but I find interesting: “ALEK JAMES HIDELL” anagrams to: “A J.E.H. DEAL KILLS ME” And "ALEK JAMES HIDELL" anagrams to: "K DALLAS: J.E.H.. I x E” "23" is the age of the Carcano, and “E” is the puzzle term for the assassination. We are presented with a math problem, “I x E”, and translating the letters to numbers yields, “8 x 4” = “32”. Once we translate “32” back into letters, we can make this anagram: “23 ACED” It appears we "ACED" the age of Richard's ringer Carcano, "23", and decoding the above yields: “100” I think this means we got an “A” on this puzzle. “Footnote #2 - “23 OUST 44” CDOUST = 010001, and, 101110, plus tags EE Yield: AEE EETSUO = 001000, and, 110111, plus tags DC Yield: CDIX Total Yield: AEECDIX math + anagram: “23 ACED” Footnote #3 - “23 ACED” (CD ACED) CDACED = 010001, and, 101110 Yield: A = 0 DECADC = 100010, and, 011101 Yield: K = 10. Hi Jim, Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but I think I’ve missed an important detail: If Louis Feldsott turned over his records to the FBI showing that C-2766 was sold to Klein’s on June 18, 1962, why didn’t the FBI just go with that date, what would have been their motive for fabricating new records showing the sale took place in February of 1963? Couldn’t C-2766 been sitting in Klein’s inventory for a few months until Mr. X ordered it? Tom
  23. This will be the easiest “C-2766” puzzle yet. Nearly all of my posts contain the following sentence: “ICO” stands for “Igor”, “Case”, “Oswald”. With a little effort put in to the “ICO” puzzles, it doesn't take long to single out and realize the importance of those three letters, “ICO”, and my posts include dozens of examples of its use. I’m sure there are well over a hundred that I haven’t posted, and here are three pieces of un-posted low-hanging fruit: “CURTAIN RODS” anagrams to “ICO NURDS RAT” “HISTORIC DIARY” anagrams to “DAISY, ‘RR’, HIT. ICO” “MICRO DOTS” anagrams to “ICO’S TM: ROD” You might recall that "RR" stands for "Ringer Rod". The anagrams above are not necessarily the major topics of their respective puzzles. Now for the easy ICO 14-letter “C-2766” puzzle. We will merely need to translate one letter, “G”, to its equivalent number, “6”, using the letter/number translation device at the bottom: “IGOR, CASE, OSWALD” anagrams to: “6 ESCROW. DIAL ‘ASO’” With the “6” safely in “ESCROW”, we are being told to use the telephone to “DIAL” the letters, “ASO”. “ASO” dials to the numbers, “276”, and since we loose the instruction, “DIAL”, our anagram answer becomes: "C-2766, WORSE" According to my reading of the ICO puzzles, Richard Case Nagell fabricated a copy of the Carcano ordered from Klein's, the one that included paper-work implicating Oswald. Richard's "Ringer Rod", which was substituted on assassination day for the one Hoover was depending on, a Carcano with an entirely different serial number, "C-2766, was rendered incapable of hitting the broad side of a barn. I take the word "WORSE" as descriptive of this characteristic. “C-2766, WORSE” decodes and anagrams to (#2): “C-276...XEROX. 88-18” We are being told that “C-276...” is a copy, and we are being sent to puzzle “88-18” in Oswald’s Historic Diary for more information. (post moved from "Oswald's Raleigh call and the fingerprints of intelligence" thread) I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that Lee Oswald had a connection to either John Hurt, or to Raleigh NC, but quite aside from that, “JOHN HURT, RALEIGH NC” is an intentionally created and informative puzzle. First we can look at the puzzle maker’s name: “RICHARD CASE NAGELL”, which anagrams to: “R’S DECAL: A RALEIGH NC” And “RICHARD CASE NAGELL” also anagrams to: “LEE’S ‘RR’ ‘C-276...’. DIAL ‘A N” (we translated some letters to numbers using the device in the footnote) “RR” stands for “Ringer Rod”, and when we “DIAL” the letters “A N” on the telephone, we are dialing the numbers “2 6”. In the process, we loose our instruction, “DIAL”, and we are left with this: “LEE’S ‘RR’ ‘C-2766. C” The "C" at the end stands for "Case", and now back to “JOHN HURT, RALEIGH NC” From merely puzzling out the name, “JOHN HURT”, we are told to make a 17-letter puzzle - the explanation of this is a little long and drawn out and I’ll deal with it in another post. But here's an easy clue to the intended size of the "JOHN HURT" puzzle: Earlier, we saw that "Richard Case Nagell" anagrammed to “R’S DECAL: A RALEIGH NC”. The letter "R" translates to the number "17" and a slight rearrangement yields this anagram: "RALEIGH NC'S DECAL: A '17'". And this is a common method for ICO to reveal the size of one of their puzzles. Lee Oswald’s late-night actions in jail gave us this 17-letter puzzle: “JOHN HURT, RALEIGH NC” There are several instructive 17-letter anagrams of this, and I will present three. “JOHN HURT, RALEIGH NC” anagrams to: “R CHANGE J.H. TURIN. LHO” “R” stands for “Richard”, “J.H.” stands for “J Hoover”, and if you are unfamiliar with the word “TURIN”, it was the place in Italy where the Carcano rifle was invented, and I’ve talked more about this in the previous two posts. Richard did "Change" J Hoover's "Turin", J Hoover's Carcano. Richard created/modified another Carcano and put his own personal serial number on what he called a "Ringer Rod", C-2766", a serial number that did not match Hoover's carefully laid paper trail. “JOHN HURT, RALEIGH NC” anagrams to: “J.H. ‘RR’ UNIT, CHANGE 17” J Hoover’s “RR UNIT” is C-2766, and we are being told to “CHANGE” something in our “17”-letter puzzle. “JOHN HURT, RALEIGH NC” anagrams to: “JH, HLH, ETC. RING ‘OURNA’” “JH” is “J Hoover”, “HLH” is “H L Hunt”, and once again we are being told to use the telephone on the letters, “OURNA”. This yields the number, “68762”. In the process, we loose the instruction, “RING”, and translating just the “8” to the letter “I”, we now make this anagram: “C-2766, J.E.H. HIT. L.H.” There are several puzzles inside “JOHN HURT, RALEIGH NC” and this, I submit, was one of them. If you are willing to puzzle out what Richard Case Nagell and his "ICO" crew created for us to find, you just might understand at least half of the Kennedy assassination mysteries. "ICO" stands for "Igor", "Case", and, "Oswald".
