  1. Gil I just thought I would mention this to you! My daughter teaches some College Night classes in Sociology. For the first time, she has a class dealing with the happenings of the 60's. I have been sending your Civil Rights links to her, which she has really appreciated. Keep up the good work! ___________ Dixie
  2. Count me in too! I also like JTG and found him to be all that Terry mentioned. I do not agree with all he says, but the same goes for a few others here. Yet, that does not mean that I disagree with all things they say. I have missed Tim too. ____________ Dixie
  3. Charlie, I can understand your thoughts and feelings regarding Robert Kennedy. Although, I also believe he was a kid at heart and quite possibly tried to over compensatedby being hardnose, arrogant and ruthless at times. I have also never had much use for Ted Kennedy, but some in his state seems to think a lot of him, since he has been a Senator for many years. I am thinking this might be somewhat unusal, but I have been doing some essays on the past First Ladies. I have done ten, so far, which is on my private website. This has been a curiosity of mine and I am learning things about the past Presidents and their families, that I never knew before. Below, I have added some information in regard to some things I have discovered. Apparently, money, power and prestige affected some Presidents families differently. First of all, our Fourth President, John Madison married Dolly Madison. She had a son by a previous marriage named John Payne. As John was growing up, they were both much too lenient with him. He was addicted to gambling and was always needing to be bailed out.. But after John Madison died, John Payne lost all he had and caused Dolly to eventually have to sell the Madison Documents and also Montpelier just to pay off debts he had created. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Our Sixth President was John Quincy Adams who married Louisa. John's father was our 2nd Presisdent John Adams and his wife was Abigal. John and Abigal practically raised two of John Quincy and Louisas sons, so they could be educated in the U.S, John Quincy was a Diplomat and he and Louisa were living in Europe. They took their youngest son with them. Louisa had a most difficuly life being married to John Quincy. Mostly he regarded her as a non-person. Plus John and Abigal also didn't like her, because she was from England and had French schooling and was cultured. She went through much hardship just to be with her husband in his travels. Her years in the Whitehouse were mostly spent in her own quarters in a state of depression. She had both a son and daughter that died when very young which she couldn't seem to get over. She did play a harp and sang some and entertained when she was able to. She also raised silkworms, which she would collect the silk and wind into yarn for knitting. Yet, she seems to have been a most tragic person, even though she had previously been a lovely, charning young woman. When she saw her First Lady Portrait, she stated that she only looked half alive. Ironically, Pat Nixon chose Louisa's portrait to hang in he White House. Many years later, Louisa's grandson wrote a book about her and how different she could have been if she had not been married to John Quincy Adams. John Quincy was sarcastic and hated small talk and I believe cut Louisa down constantly. I also believe he was a womanizer, as were his sons. However, after leaving the White House and in later years, John Quincy mellowed out and he did make peace with Louisa. But here is how their three sons turned out....... George Washington Adams, the oldest son was a brilliant young man who had graduated from Harvard and studied law with Daniel Webster, George was also a rake. He neglected his law practice, ran up huge debts, impregnated and abandoned a young girl, frequently visited prostitutes, had fits of paranoia, suffered hallucinations, used opium, and was suicidal. When his mom (Louisa) found books of pornography in his room, she feared that the young boy looked upon women as mere objects of sexual pleasure. On a steamer bound for New York, George, aged twenty-eight, accused his fellow passengers of plotting against him. The next day he disappeared and his body washed up on shore six weeks later. The next eldest son, John Adams II, married in the White House on February 25, 1828, which was one of the brightest moments of her time on the White House. John Adams II, although more stable, had his share of troubles too. He was expelled from Harvard in his senior year for taking part in a student riot. Later, as his father's private secretary, he engaged in a fistfight with an anti-administration journalist in the Capitol Rotunda, causing a special committee to be convened to investigate the assault. Although his opponent was censured, his mother was terribly embarrased. After John Quincy's defeat by Jackson, John Adams II ran a Washington flourmill owned by the family, but his health failed and he died at age thirty-one, suffering from acute alcoholism. The youngest son, Charles Francis Adams, who lived to become a distinguished diplomat, public servant, and author, shared with his older brothers a common character trait: it seems that all of the Adams men, including John Quincy Adams, were sexually active with prostitutes as young men and read pornographic literature. Louisa Adams criticized all of her sons directly for their willingness to participate in what she termed "loathsome and disgusting pictures of actions . . . that render them . . . unfit for any society but the lowest and most degraded. __________________________________ Our Eighth President, Martin Van Buren married Hannah. They were married twelve years and had four sons and she died before he ever became President. This is the description of their sons! Abraham Van Buren (1807-1873), the eldest, graduated from West Point and served in the army. He resigned from the army in 1837 to serve as secretary to his father during his single term as President. He rejoined the army during the Mexican War, and was promoted for bravery (they gave promotions rather than medals at that time) at the battles of Contreras and Churubusco. John Van Buren (1810-1866) was a lawyer. He served as secretary of the American legation in London during his father's stint as minister-designate to Great Britain. He was later elected to the U.S. House of Representatives where he emerged as a leading opponent of slavery. He later allied himself with the Barnburner faction of the New York Democratic Party, which opposed all compromise with the South on the issue of slavery. Martin Van Buren, Jr. (1812-1855) was a student of political science and history. He served as a political aide to his father throughout his career and compiled the information used by the former President in writing his memoirs. Smith Thompson Van Buren (1817-1876) also served as a political aide to his father. He drafted many of his father's speeches and, as literary executor of his father's estate, edited the Van Buren Papers. He married a niece of Washington Irving. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Just something a little dfferent in regard to Presidential families. One more thought though. It seems a lot of Presidents have a renegade brother, that they would just as soon keep hidden...:-)

  5. John I just finished reading E. Howard Hunt's, American Spy. I was prepared to not like the book. Yet, I did like it. I believe he made a few errors, although most books do have errors. I also saw that he had evidently read some of the JFK Conspiracy type books. He seemed to have most of the facts as we know them. Even though I am not as confident in some of his own conclusions. Still how many other CIA persons have ever admitted a conspiracy at all? He even tells who he believes was behind it all, although he also claims to not know who it was and that he had nothing whatsoever to do with any of it. He was quite aware of the accusations against him....which he felt was very hurtful. Although, I personally remain unconvinced. He also told his version of the Watergate Caper, but I just don't know what is truth and what is not. He has Douglas Caddy working directly with the Mullin Co. and yet Douglas has said in another thread, this wasn't true. It is not easy to know how truthful or untruthful that Howard was in this book. But I don't actually believe he was just a Patriot as he wants to claim. Still I feel that he did tell some truths and i did enjoy reading it. ________ Dixie
  6. James posted..... Duke, I do not wish to divert this thread but what do you know about Markham's son, James? A few months before the assassination he had been paroled from Huntsville doing time on a burglary conviction and since had been sought for parole violations. Helen Markham was supposedly under quite some stress at the time. I believe James was eventually nabbed in early 1964. James __________________________________ James Maybe I can answer some of your questions and maybe Duke will have additional information! It is just one of the things I have attempted to check out. James Markham and Jimmy Burt, (a Tippit witness) were friends. Both were on parole, after being involved in a Car Theft Ring. On June 30, 1964, the police showed up at Helen Markham's door to question James about a Conceszions Burglery from the Zoo. Helen showed them a lot of items that James had showed up with recently. The cops arrested James and he ask if he could first use the restroom, before being handcuffed. While in the bathroom, he jumped out the bathroom window, 20 feet to the ground and busted up his head. An ambulance was called and he was taken to Parkland Hospital. I don't believe he was there very long though...a few hours anyway. Then he was taken to jail and already with a warrant for Parole violations he was charged with Burglery. On July 30. 64, he was awaiting trial. He later claimed the cops pushed him out the window! I have not been able to find out the Judges ruling of his court case or even when it actually occurred! However, Helen Markham testified for the WC on March 26, 64 (Morning and afternoon session) and later on July 23, 64. Is there some thoughts to consider regarding Helens WC Testimony and her son's court outcoome? I don't know, but it has occurred to me as a possibility. She certainly did lie in her testimony. Although, a lot of the final testimony had to do with her denials of ever taking to Mark Lane. Even with the conversation recorded, she still tried to deny it was her voice. I believe she did finally admit it though. Mark Lane also took Marguerete Oswald to Helen's house to speak to her. But, Helen refused to talk with them. She had another son, I am thinking his name was William. He lived out of state at the time of JFK's Assn and Tippit's killing. But he was by this time, back and staying at his mons place. On one of their attempts to speak to Helen, William went to the door and told them that he would meet wih them, down the street, which he did. He did feel that Marguerete had a right to find out all she could. __________ Dixie
  7. Kathy... I am sure all my own info can also be found at google as well as yours. Public info, of course. But I sure wouldn't want anyone broadcasting all that info, to all the world, would you? You accused me of using a moral judgement...and having a very biased reaction....you are right on both counts. I believe in descretion. If I ran across some info that I knew related to something, someone was researching, then I might decide to share that info. That is on a one-on-one basis, not for all the world to see. I do believe that a persons privacy is very important and I do not ever apologize for that. I am well aware of the question of Robert Oswald vs Lee Harvey Oswald. Most of us would like to know if they are or are not actual brothers. However, I don't see Robert cooperating at all in our curiosities. I also believe that invading his privacy is not going to bring us any closer to the truth. In fact, it may even have the opposite effect. ____________ Dixie
  8. POsted by John G. One question, What is achieved from knowing what the roof of his or anyone else's house look like? I would consider it an invasion of privacy to have my address, phone number and a photo of my house placed on the internet for all to see. Frankly, I find it quite improper to do this. Whatever your opinion of Robert oswald, I find it in poor taste to publicise his details. John geraghty. ___________________________________________________ Thank you, John! I totally agree with you. It also seems like an invitation for someone that doesn't have a clue, to do something very foolish. I am thinking that with some, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing!! 11. Possibly, the New Years Day Party was at Don Johnsons home, but it was hosted by Don Henley. Donna Rice Hughes - Women http://www.christianitytoday.com/tcw/6w5/6w5042.html How did you meet Senator Hart? DONNA: Although I'd first seen Senator Hart in Aspen, Colorado, at a New Year's Day party in 1987, we hadn't talked. On March 27, 1987, I went to a fundraiser at a Miami resort. The event was crowded, so a group of us went outside to a yacht owned by the resort's owner. Upon boarding, we were surprised to discover it had been chartered by Gary Hart and Bill Broadhurst, a Washington lawyer and lobbyist. Apologizing, we turned to leave, but they invited us to stay on board. Before the group left, Gary asked for my phone number, and the next day he called to ask me to dinner that night. I had no idea he was married, but I found out that night. The next day, Gary and Bill invited me and my new friend, Lynn, to go out into the ocean with them on a yacht called the Monkey Business. We ended up in Bimini, in the Bahamas, and didn't return until the following day. I'd gone through a lot of guys in the past year, trying to get over my old boyfriend, but Gary was the one who swept me off my feet. Before the boat docked, however, he confessed because he was contemplating running for president, he couldn't separate from his wife. I believed him when he told me he faced a difficult choice between pursuing personal happiness and his political destiny. _______________________________________ washingtonpost.com: Newspaper Stakeout Infuriates Hart http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/local...candal/hart.htm Hart apparently met Rice last New Year's Eve in Aspen, Colo., at a party hosted by Don Henley, a member of the Eagles rock group. He said that Lee Hart was with Hart at the party. Hart and Rice met again in March -- March 1, according to the Miami Herald -- when Hart and Broadhurst were in Miami, where Hart had a Don's the Question Man! ______________________________________ http://www.eaglesfans.com/info/articles/question_man.htm But Henley noted that his role in Rice's liaison with presidential aspirant Gary Hart has been overstated. Yes, he hosted the New Year's Eve party where they met; no, he didn't introduce them. ________________ Dixie
  12. A friend of mine. was invited to a Presidents Prayer Breakfast, about 10 years ago. After he returned, he told me that he ran across Donna Rice, at the Hotel where he was staying. They talked some and ended up having dinner together one night. I laugheed, and ask what she was doing at a Prayer Breakfast! He told me that she was a very nice woman and also quite interesting to talk to. He also told me that she is a devout re-dedicated Christain. Plus she had also helped to set up the Prayer Breakfast that year. What happened to Donna Rice is that she was raised in a religous family, as she was also. She was an over achiever with a promising future. She went off to college and as happens to many with this background, she got involed with a little faster group then she was use to being with. At some point she was the victim of a date-rape, which grealy upset her. Following depression, she started drinking some with her friends and doing things she had never done before. Later she became involved with a guy that turned out to be a drug dealer and who was busted and sent to prison. Eventually she found herself at a party in Miami, where she met Gary Hart. After awhile, the party continued on to a boat called the Monkey Business, which Gary Hart had chartered. She and Gary were attracted to each other. But, at that point she didn't realize he was married or actually much about him. However, she did become aware that he was married, before they all left for that overnight boat trip to Bimini. They did become involved and he did tell her that he was married and that he was going to run for President. Then a so-called friend borrowed some photos of that trip, to show to her boyfriend, but never returned them. Donna discovered much later, they were evidently the ones who had tipped off the Miami Herold. But, the MH wouldn't use the photos with no story....so the media spied on Hart and Rice for the info and then broke with the story. The couple was able to sell the photos to National Enquirer though. After the scandal broke, Donna didn't know what to do, so she went back home to So Carolina, to be with her family where she resumed her former religious life. For a couple of years, Donna was silent. When she finally broke her self-imposed silence she emerged as a leading national spokesperson for the fight against illegal pornography, specifically protecting children. Today, Doinna is married to a technology executive, Jack Hughes. She is also Director of Marketing and Communications at "Enough Is Enough!", a nonprofit organization dedicated to stopping illegal pornography, assisting victims, and making the Internet safe for children. ___________ Dixie
  13. Hi Harry Obviously, I'm not William Turner, but I did get a chance to meet him about three years ago, in Dallas. I wanted to make a few comments in regard to your questions about Edward Jagels, the DA of Kern County. The name iof the book you mentioned is "Mean Justice," written by Edward Humes and published in 1999. Yes, Jagels is from a wealthy family in San Marino. He is also a right-winger! Do you recall a few years ago we had a conversation (by email) and I mentioned that I live in the Kern County (Bakersfield) area. You are the one that steered me to the Mean Justice Book. I bought the last copy in our local Barnes & Noble Bookstore. Many things I read, I was aware of, but a lot I wasn't aware of. Seems Jagels was so determinded to clean up crime in the "Streets of Bakersfield" that he sent a lot of innocent people to prison...many have also been released. In addition, there are many High Profile Murder cases that have never been solved. I know you are well aware of that fact too! Now, I will give Mr Turner a chance to reply to your questions. ________________ Dixie

  15. Maybe you guys would consider having a dueling match. This was a popular form of resolving conflict, in the early to mid 1800's of our past history, Actually, an ancester of mine, was really big on dueling. He was sometiems a hot-head and lot of his conflicts had to do with defending his wife's honor from slurs and innuendo made against her. After two happy years of marriage, they learned to their dismay, that her ex husband had not obtained a divorce, only permission to file for one. Now he brought suit on grounds of adultery. After the divorce was granted, the couple quietly remarried in 1794. They had made an honest mistake, as friends well understood, but whispers of adultery and bigamy followed them. Although he was quick to avenge any slight to her. This was of course, our 7th US President, Andrew Jackson and his wife Rachel Donaldson Jackson. Andrew Jackson Painting http://www.senate.gov/artandhistory/art/re...ge/32_00018.jpg Rachel Donaldson Jackson http://www.thehermitage.com/jackson/biogra...essean/img1.jpg I am aware that Jackson also killed a man in a dueling match, but we won't think about that part. 16. John Oh dear!!! I didn't intend for you to take personal offense to what I said. Actually It didn't even come to my mind, when I was making the above post, that you had also been threatened, by Tim. I do know I would be real upset about it too. I sure wouldn't want to see you shut down the forum and sure didn't mean to indicate that I did. However, as far as being lible...I have no idea about that. I have never been sued, nor have I ever contemplated suing anyone. So, I have no knowledge of such things. I would most likely try to do everything possible to try and rectify a situation rather then consider a court action..... that is just the way I am! So, I can understand what you are saying! ____________ Dixie ______________________________________ "Let your mind start a journey through a strange new world! 17. Doggone it. When is the actual lynching going to take place? Tim Graft has been found guilty of a non specified crime and now we must tar and feather him. Or, maybe we could all take turns caning him, as they did the American boy in Singapore a few years ago, when I was also in Singapore. The difference is that although the boy pled innocent, he was found guilty BY LAW.The boy was caned, as his punishment and remarkably, after it was done, he walked over to his "canor" and shook his hand!!! I am wondereing if perhaps there are others here who are reluctant to speak out against this seemingly lynch mob mindset? I have to admit that I have not wanted to be involved, so I have tryed to stay out of it. I am hesitant to refer to it as a controversy, since most everyone has made an opinion that Tim is guilty of something! Shanet, made unsubstaniated accusations against Tim which he should not have done. Why he did this, I don't know, except it had nothing to do with me, so I just mostly ignored it. Does everyone feel it was perfectly okay for Shanet to do this? That is the impression I am getting from everyone! Does everyone believe Tim should have just sloughed it off or maybe just laughed it off? We do not know how different things might impact on another person. So when they do not react to our own standards then we seem to find more reason to be critical of them, Tim threatend Shanet with a lawsuit. To some, that is regarded as overkill er maybe even just a bluff...or bully boy tactics. For right or wrong, Tim did what he felt he needed to do, to stop the accusations. This is Tim's reputatiion we are talking about here, not ours! Seemingly, this lawsuit threat brought an end to the threats by Shanet and he graciously apologized. But then he also chose to leave the forum. No one wanted to see Shanet do that and most would like to see him return. I am sure he would be welcome back anytime. Not everyone always agreed with Shanets theories, but I think we do believe he was sincere. As for Tim, he continues to face adversity even though no one knows if he is innocent or guilty or actually even what the actual charges are. Tim has admitted to meeting with Segretti and also took $50.00 from him. I have no idea what Tim feels about this today. But, I do know that when I was much younger, I may have done things a whole lot different then I would today. I may even have believed i was doing the right thing at the time, and today realize that It was not right at all. But, what can I now say, except that I did do it. Did Tim do much more then he has admitted to? Was Bremer paid from a group that Tim was involved in? There is no specific charge against Tim in this, nor is the group even mentioned. What we do have is only Tim's denials. Yet, the lynch-mob is out for blood with no reason whatsoever...at this point. Except only the vague reference read in Spragues's book. Tim, also has his Castro did it theories, which apparently none of us agree with him. He also has a way of turning every thread into the same Castro did it points. To most, it is quite tiresome to have every thread hi-jacked. We never get any place with any topic, because of seeming obsession of Tim's. Some believe that Tim is doing this for a purpose..has an agenda, is disinfo, govt. ect. Is this true or not? We can suspect these things about Tim, all we want, but I doubt if any of us actually know what is true or not true. Come to think of it, I have the same suspicion of a couple of others here!! Personally, although Tim has disagreed with me a few times, he has always been polite. But then of course I don't always expect everyone is going to agree with me anyway. But it is sure great if they do..:-) If others here are annoyed with Tim, there are a few options to relieve yourself from having to read what he puts out. But my belief is that Tim has just as much rights to express his theories as we do. Personally, I have enjoyed reading the exchanges between Tim and R. Charles Dunne. I believe both have debated with civility towards each other. Until or unless more info is obtained in regard to Tim's past or even his current possible affiliations, then to assume he is guilty is wrong. It appears that where there is smoke there is fire, but the lynch mob mentality has him starting the fire, when maybe there was not one to begin with. If, Tim is actually guilty of something beyond what he has admitted to,. I believe we are going to be finding that out, eventually. Until then, there is no reaason for this lynching party! I am proibbaly going to get blasted for this post, but it won't be the first time that I have not conformed to a group mindset. It began to seem like by not speaking out, that I was condoning or just going along with the rest. Nope...I think my own thoughts and dream my own dreams! Above all, I hope not to make accusations to anyone when they are unsubstantiated charges. When I hear, "yes I did that." or see actual proof or documentation, then such charges are quite unnecessary and actually harmful. I do agree you are all welcome to believe as you wish, but I am also free to believe as I wish too. "Hang me....Dang me" __________________ Dixie
  18. Warren Caster, had a luncheon date with a College Professor, during the time of the assn. The Professer was never questioned about this! Another strange occurance was that Geneva Hines told all the workers in her office to go on out and watch the parade and she would stay in the office to answer any phone calls. Then since she wasn't able to see the street from her office window, she decided to go across the hall to what was Warren Casters Office (Southwest Pub Co, I believe) and look out that window. The door was locked, and she could see through the doorway window the secretary sitting at her desk and she was and on the phone. Geneva knocked and knocked and the seceretary would not come to the door...but just stayed on the phone. Geneva thought this was quite strange! 19. Hi James.... This is what I have, which is from a posting of Dr Robert Baker, on a Newsgroup of Nov. 11, 2001. I edited out Dr Bakers email address and a couple of names mentioned. Otherwise, it is exactly as posted. This may have been his only post, although his current wife, Rose posted there for some time. Dixie ______________________________________ From: "Robert A. Baker III" Date: Friday, November 09, 2001 7:24 AM But I can give permission to have it posted. I also give at this time my wife and xxxxxx xxxxxxx permission to post anything he thinks is pertinent from his interviews with me. I suppose you have a similar situation with my ex Judy. I do not have the time to deal with following your newsgroups. Nor do I wish to be a part of the mudslinging my ex has instigated. Since xxxxxx contacted me first, and he seems trustworthy enough, I will give him the right to tell my side of the story when he deems it appropriate. In the meantime, (a bit of history) I was awarded an NSF scholarship based on my GRE scores. I chose University of Texas, because of Robert Folk. I was interested in sedimentology, and he was the leading researcher in this area. Texas was also the hometown of my Mother and I was keen on living where there was moderate weather. Robert Folk was on sabbatical when I arrived in Austin, nevertheless his research and reputation remained behind. I did my dissertation in Saltillo, Mexico. Judy was with me as we were married at the time. We came to New Orleans because I was interested in having a summer job in the oil industry. We eloped because my parent's would not have given their blessing to us as I was not finished with my schooling. It was my idea to go to New Orleans, it was my idea to do fieldwork in Mexico, and it was my idea to go to college in Austin. So because an ex-husband who just might be a bit biased makes a statement that agrees with YOUR assumptions you accept it as truth? Wow. There was no interest in the LDS (mormon) Church until we moved to Houston. The missionaries had dropped my and left a book with my ex. I happened to pick it up and became interested. She followed. I do not believe she had an affair with Oswald. She might have had an affair sometime in our early marriage. I will say if she had an affair with Oswald, that is all she had. There wasn't CIA involvement and nonsense such as she has been reporting. xxxxxx speaks for my children and their non interest in the publishing. I speak to my children, and I am their Father. I have children who are much concerned about the book and do not want to see it come to print. As for the other children, they do not have the full knowledge of how such a book can and will change their life. Back to the topic at hand, I for one would like to see this email. And if you can't post it because of a third party, you certainly can remail it to me. In any event it may be published with my permission. Can't hardly believe the context could be any worse than the stories my wife has been telling me she has found. Goodnight gentlemen. I leave my story in the hands of xxxxxx xxxxxxx, and my good wife, who gets really excited when she is reading all this nonsense. Hence the wake up call to write this note as to unveil the truth about xxxxxx contacting me. hrruummpphhhh bob ______________________________________ "Let your mind start a journey through a strange new world! 20. Shanet I have no problem with anyone believing what they choose to believe. However, I am astonished that you not only believe Judyth, but also sugggest those of us who do not believe her, should lower our standards, in order to do so. Many of us, did not just pick up on her story since the TMWKK segment was viewed. We have been following Judyth's claims for more like 5-7 years. We have seen the continuous changes and additions to her claims...plus the out right false claims. If you have not actually checked out some of her claims then you will not realize fact from fiction. Evidently John Simkin, was able to see what some of us have seen, for a long time. Those prisoners you mentioned, use to be one mental patient that was injected and who died as was anticipated. It was first even indicated she was the one that gave him the injection, but she did clarify that she didn't inject him, she just checked on his progress...to die I assume!! I was shocked when Judyth changed this to being several prisoners. Most all of her claims have eventually been changed and embellished and then later denied it was any other way and others are blamed. All of my records are related to Judyths own words and none are of someone just claiming she said something. I am sure you would be suprised at the changes. Even though Judyth has managed to insert herself in every blank area of LHO's life and managed to meet everyone even remotely mentioned in some way....Mafia, CIA, Cuban Exiles, Militants, Tulane Doctors, Texas Oilmen etc etc and in all of this at the very most, four months time. On investigation, much of this has not pannned out as claimed!!! Until such time as Judyth actually comes forth with her book and does actually have the documentation as she claims, then I, for one will not believe her.....crocodile tears do not sway me as it has some! But again, you are free to believe as you chose to, just as I am and I do not intend any antagonism toward you. 21. Thanks Ron, that is interesting info. I do not really recall Jim sayng anything about that in his presentaion. However, I also have no doubt, that for whatever might possibly be true, he most likely also added plenty of embellishments. Dixie
  22. I just wanted to point out a new post I made at tbe MLK, Jr Forum. Some may have heard of Jim Green and his claims and to others this will be new information, which you may find to be rather interesting. I added two links to articles you can read about him. Dixie
  23. Perhaps, you may not have ever heard the claims made by a man named James (Jim) C Green, in regard to the Martin Luther King Jr, killing. First of all, I actually met and talked with Jim Green in Nov 2000, at the COPA Conference, in Dallas, where he made a presentation. I also actually saw the rifle, that is shown on the page of the first article below. ...so I do, personally know that it actually does exist. Many of the MLK Reserchers do believe Jim Green's story. Specifically, Lyndon Barsten who is an expert on the MLK assassnation. He was also at this COPA Conference and says that everything he has checked out about Jim, has panned out. Also at this COPA Conf was Jerry Ray, James Earl Rays brother, who also believes JIm. Jim also says that he had a long talk with Dexter King and told him all that he knew of when MLK was killed. As for my own impression of Jim Green...he was very crude and boisterous. I was sitting in a lounge area conversing with someone and had a strange thought that someone was standing behind us and that suddenly made me uneasy. Next thing I knew, a male voice said, "I'm the guy that the FBI hired to gun down James Earl Ray." That was my initial introduction to him!!! I did not previously know anyhing at all about him. After I got over being rather startled, my first thoughts were that he was full of crap! My next thought was, why would he just blurt out such a thing, to two strangers. I still don't know the answer to that. Although, I now suspect he was just wanting to coverse and went about it rather crudly....or maybe he just wanted to try and shock us. But mostly we reacted like..oh really, as if a joke! So, it was only later in the Conf. that we discovered who he actually was. After hearing him tell his story and even today. I just don't know if he was telling the truth or not. So, you will just have to decide for yourselves, if his claims are true or even if even possibly true. Portions of the story does sound crddible and some parts, I am not so sure about. Jim, wrote a book titled, "Blood and Dishonor on a Badge of Honor" This was suppose to be out very soon, but from what I understand, Jim died within the past couple of years. I don't know what happened to his book and so far, haven't been able to find out about it. Below, I have two articles related to Jim Green. The secomd article, by CD Slelzer gives a lot more about Jim's background and how he became involved with the Martin Luther Jr killing. There are some photos and also a more printer friendly page to use. ___________________________________ Assassinations and Coverups #4 "M.L. 24. Some of you know Shari Angel and for those who don't, she was one of Jack Ruby's Carousel Girls. I just received word this morning that Shari died last night at a Hospice Hospital in Dallas at around 7:30 p.m. Having been told shd didn't have long to live, she did have acceptance and stated that she was ready to be with Madeline (Brown), who was also a friend to her. I knew Shari and she was quite a colorful figure around the Dallas JFK Research community. I will always remember how thoughtful and helpful she was to me, the first time I went to Dallas, in 2000. I felt like she adopted me that weekend. She did many strange things, that defied any rationality, yet most who knew her loved her anyway. Rest in Peace, Shari. Dixie PS If any one has photos of Shari, please post them. Thanks!
  25. I'm not so sure about William Seymour posing as LHO in Mexico. At least I had not considered it before. Sylvia Duran says the guy was about her highth, of 5.3,5. How tall is Seymour? This might only be a coincidence, but something that did occur to me. John Armstrong, who wrote Harvey & Lee, traveled to Argentina to interview one of LHO's friends, from when he was in Russia. I believe this was Anita Zigler. She told him that the LHO in Russia was quite short and was only around 5.3. Dixie
