  1. Hey Chris! I am looking forward to viewing it - for whatever reason, even after downloading and updating the latest and greatest QT - I don't seem to be able to view the file. I was working with screen captures - which were at the whim of unknown forces - so it took a number of attempts to get anything of value [but still higher quality than the Groden DVD] so a screen capture will already suffer - and then converting these to JPEGs - the program I am using caused them further degradation. I am thinking about going back to ULEAD GIF animator. Here's Hughes - Take 1. - lee
  2. A very interesting thread. Again - although I had read Appointment in Dallas, it wasn't until I read Judyth Vary Baker's books that I became more interested myself. Two Questions: 1. Is the office layout the same at the time of Don's photo as it was in 1963 - 2 windows per office? If that is the case, then two separate offices had windows opened at the time - the 2 at left being one office, the two at right, another. Also worth mentioning - at the time Hughes captured the Records building during his aftermath filming, it appears that a window on the first floor is also open. 2. Is it at all possible to determine who had ownership of these 2 offices in 1963? Today it appears that the offices of the court clerk are on the 2nd floor, also vital statistics and property records. Using Roberdeau's Plat for witnesses closest to this position outside the records building: Mrs. PEARL SPRINGER - useless. Mrs. ERIC (CAROLYN) WALTHER - about the same. More interesting remarks about the TSBD. James N. Crawford - worked in the records building, but on the ground floor. I haven't seen Crawford's FBI Affidavit, but his Warren testimony is also not helpful for a shot coming from the records building. Mary ann Mitchell - was with James Crawford and also worked in Records - she says basement office - no help. Edgar Leon Smith. Jr - DPD. No help. T.E. MOORE, Deputy District Court Clerk, Records Building. Not much noteworthy - there is a bot of correlation in these accounts in that they were directed to either the knoll or the TSBD as the source of the shots. If a shot was fired from Records - it 'sounds' as if it would have to have been with the use of a silencer. Don has Ayneworth directly below these windows - but I am unsure as to how he arrived at that. I don't expect any help from Aynesworth anyway - but this is a curiosity. Aside: It's very interesting to note that the epileptic seizure took place at approximately 12:15pm CT, almost directly across from the Records Building. So what with the help of 'spotters' in the building to notify employees of the arrival of the motorcade so that they could watch it [Mary Ann Mitchell], there may have indeed been method to the madness of the timing of Jerry Belknap's seizure as a diversion to gain access to the building. In the animated sequence I put together [but cannot load just yet] it appears that someone in the Records Building window is waving a white gloved hand - hard to tell, but looks funny. Laughing at how difficult this is to illustrate...in the Willis crop, assuming that these are 2 separate offices, then both are occupied by folks looking out the window. In the one at left, there are obvious fleshtones - the one at the right seems like a white glove. The shadow is apparent, but there is an absence of color. It's a poor demonstration - the animated gif is better. One more bit to have a look at - which includes those witnesses standing opposite the building, in addition to creating an animated sequence of the frames available as the press car was passing the building.
  3. The "White Pants Guy" can be seen in the Bronson photos. Strolling across Main St., just as the shooting is happening. In one of Cancellieri"s he can be seen (seemingly) staring intently at the North Portico. His looks dark complected and fit. He is NOT showing reactions like those of most of the rest of the crowd. Staring intently - with "Beret Man" just behind him. Hi Frank - yeah, he's interesting as well. The white pants duo. The Cancellare view of the lawn was published once before - don't recall the name of the book and not important - it wasn't the best quality - but it wasn't cropped. Anyway, I found it interesting to note that both 'white pants guy' and 'plaidshirt man' were circled in that photo - for reasons unknown. - lee
  4. Open on 2 in Hughes - so much for the myth about the windows not opening. Lot's of Viskos in Miami - of course, I was told not to seek contact - but here we are. Does anyone have the notice that was allegedly published in the St Petersburg press? Their archives only go back a very short way - and so far - looks like you should always question crap people walk in on your carpet for yourself. - lee lforman23@comcast.net
  5. Yeah well you know what I meant - thanks for keeping me honest. : )
  6. Hi James. Not clear. What we seem to have his plaidshirt man joining another man in white pants, who can be seen approaching the area almost due North - more from the area of Commerce and Main and the plaza in general. Then we see Plaidshirt man approaching - but it's not possible to say firmly that he came from Main And Houston area. I think it's interesting for the sake of timing to use the men from that corner - who we see strolling across the lawn at this point - making this photo very soon after the shooting. Here's a tough sell - I can't do much better. This guy standing next to the guy in the pick-up bears a slight resemblance - but it's almost impossible to improve on this, since he's just too far away. So then I would guess we see him next in the railyards, and then huddled with the cops - in that order. But I am guessing. It could be the reverse. I don't know how easy it is to timestamp the Murray vs the Skaggs 17 [and Ernie Mentesana frames]. Interestingly enough, I found a number of new references which make it clear that there is a real misunderstanding with respect to the scene with the cops huddled with this guy - Groden clearly has it as the rifle which was taken off the roof of the TSBD and is being examined - WRONG! Peter - that's a good point since the Mentesana film doesn't seem to have as many shadows - however, most of Skaggs stuff seems to be underexposed. I can tell you that it is difficult to improve through any traditional pc enhancing techniques. Don - see if you can locate him anywhere else? I have looked through a few hundred photos and frames now - trying to see if he may have been on Houston - without success. His white pants should be a dead giveaway. Terry - Agreed. While I like Craig - I still feel it's possible, given the environment he was in, that his recollection of Seymour's identification on the 'Mauser' may have been colored after-the-fact. He saw that there were games being played - he smelled something in the wind - he caught them changing his story and pushing him off. He may have been the victim of his own suspicion - as I stated before - if someone can find me a Mauser with '7.65mm Mauser' stamped on the barrel - I will stand corrected. Even assuming that the DPD was very much part and parcel to what went down [which I very much believe - much like crooked cops in Atlanta for MLK and crooked cops in LA for RFK], it seems rather outlandish to assume that there would have been a bait and switch going on - after-the-fact. As it was, I am sure it was difficult enough to worry about the chicken bones - which Alea made very clear - WERE DISCOVERED ON FIVE AND BROUGHT UP TO SIX. He couldn't fathom why the cops would all lie about it [my words not his]. No bag found - probably discovered in the storage room on seven. Shells not in their original position. Rifle discovery recreated for the camera. Lights called for to explore seven - which was dark. 'Sniper's nest' probably a blind for pornography - as per Hemming's statement. I just can't see them finding a Mauser and then doing a switch on it. What seems much more likely is that any weapon used in the shooting was removed from the building - in which case Seymour made a mistake. And witnesses...hang on...Romack, for example - was either mistaken [assisting Sam Pate in getting through the barrier for "30 seconds" LOL] or was lying. Romack heard only three shots. All came from the TSBD. They were evenly spaced. Sure he could hit an elk from 350 yards with a bolt action no problem. Worrell was a monkey. Sorry Romack - I'll take Worrell's word over yours anyday. - lee
  7. It would appear that I am taking exception with yet another myth - that of a 2nd rifle which was photographed in Dealey Plaza - having been discovered on the rooftop of the TSBD and carried down the fire escape and examined at street level. This apears to have also been the position of Robert Groden and Jim Garrison - unless someone is able to provide a photo or frame proving otherwise - there is no record of any other weapon having been recovered at the scene of the crime other than a Mannlicher Carcano. Sean Murphy has outdone himself again, and has located the Plaidshirt man in the railroad yards in the back parking lot. Kudos Sean and many thanks. Taking it one step further - if anyone can produce a photo of any Mauser with the name and caliber stamped on the barrel - I would be very interested in seeing it. Aside from Craig - whom I tend to believe - Seymour Weitzmann would know his guns - except he probably wasn't selling crap like the Mannlicher to anyone. All of the Mausers I examined had a specific mark - or a Mauser emblem embossed on the action - and/or a MODEL NUMBER. In which case - I wonder if the first accounts provided were all mistaken - the actual shooting weapon having been removed from the building well in advance of the reinacted discovery filmed of Carl Day 'discovering' the MC - with a DPD shotgun underneath him. DPD shotgun - seen outside the TSBD. DPD shotgun - seen below Carl Day as he 'found' the MC. What I am left with, is that the recent account provided by an elderly lady - about a man banging out the back door of the TSBD - expecting a getaway car - finding none, running towards the train tracks - possibly seen by JC Price - most likely seen by Worrell, and reported to the Police later as a man running along the tracks with a rifle - highly probable. Yes - I like it. Only one weapon ever found - despite Sam Pate's claim - and despite folks misinterpretation of the events portrayed in the DCA film - and the mistake made by Weitzman and Craig - one planted weapon, which in all probability never fired one of the shots of consequence. And as per Dorsch - fingerprints were lifted from this weapon as per Alea - and this has escaped the light of day. So who is this individual in the parking lot - with his jacket, beret and plaid shirt - whom I once pointed out as an individual of interest a few years ago - based upon the description provided by Ed Hoffman - seen here and there about the plaza that day? Feel free to post if you'd like - or you can always take the low road = lforman23@comcast.net. - lee
  8. Incorrect. Man in plaid shirt, jacket and beret being questioned. 'Rifle' is DPD shotgun, being held at rest in crook of cop's arm. Angle of footage taken by Mentesana appears to have mislead a few folks, which is why it is important to couple it with the photo taken by Skaggs. No 'rifle' is being examined in this footage. - lee
  9. This is simply an interesting observation. McDonald related in his 'Appointment in Dallas' that 'Saul,' whom we now believe was not Mario Tauler Sague at all [thanks to James Richards ID on Mario], but more likely one Grigorii [Georgi] Visko - commercial representative of the Soviet Embassy in Mexico City [and places like New Orleans and New Laredo - as per Nechiporenko's book], took the killing shot to Kennedy from the 2nd floor of the Records Building - he received the information concerning the location from Kimsey [saul did not provide his specific location to McDonald during their meeting]. One reason for dismissing this location as a possible shooters position - aside from the lack of any eye or ear witness accounts [excluding Rosemary Willis], seems to be a myth which stemmed from a man named Benson? -- Not clear on that -- in which he relates that the Records Building would be an impossible location since the windows do not open! An examination of the windows in 2004 photos, as well as 1963 demonstrate that they are standard double hung windows - with a locking mechanism at center. From the account provided by Rosemary Willis in her interview by Texas Monthly: From Roberdeau's plat - it would appear that a shot could have been taken with a clear line of sight to z313, from the 2nd floor of the Record's building. Aside: Not sure as to how he locates Aynesworth there below this set of windows - Aynesworth in his book indicates that he was standing on the corner of Houston and Main. Using a 360 degree viewer - the present line-of-sight to the 'x' on Elm seems to be a bit obscured by the growth of the trees in the park by the fountain - however, I am not sure that this would have presented an issue in 1963, when the trees were quite smaller in size. So using the Muchmore film, Hughes film, and Willis 3 - I was able to determine that at a minimum, indeed, there was a window open on the 2nd floor of the Records Building at the time Kennedy passed. Not sure if I can load the animated GIF as it surpasses the maximum upload limit. No - I cannot. However, here attached is a crop taken from Willis 3 - in which it is clear that the 2nd floor window of the Records Building was both open and occupied. Thanks to Mike Smith and Robin Unger for their input and assistance. - lee Edit - I also want to add that it was Judyth Baker's books which gave me the desire to recheck McDonald's account of Saul. The moment I hit her comments on the 'shining hero' nickname for Oswald - I wanted to simply do a bit of my own validation. I have it from a very good source that our man is still living and breathing - despite what Soviet newspapers may have reported. Still like the opportunity to communicate with the man if he gets wind of this - just a few questions - no reprisals. Especially interested in his role in the BOP. lforman23@comcast.net
  10. Sounds as if the answer is a resounding 'NO.' I am satisfied that the 'rifle' seen is a DPD shotgun, and I also feel pretty strongly that the man seen at the left taking a photo in the DCA film is none other than Jay Skaggs. Someone pointed out to me that this individual has some serious scars on his neck - I would imagine that this would be helpful in identification. Perhaps he is simply a witness - he certainly appears to have the interest of the police. Thanks to Sean Murphy who did a nice job on the spot for the plaid shirt man on the grass in Cancellare. - lee As always - if someone wants to be anonymous - send me an email to lforman23@comcast.net - something is with this guy and I would like to know what.
  11. Anyone have an idea who this guy is? It would appear that there would have been some kind of report concerning this individual, given the interest by the cops. Groden has it that this is another rifle which was taken from the TSBD - not sure what his source is for this statement. From the Sixth Floor museum: In the DCA film it looks as if that could be Jay Skaggs taking the photo - slide 17. In which case, this gun is simply one of the DPD guys holding a shotgun. In any case - it's the individual in the plaid shirt that I find interesting. Anyone know more about him? - lee
  12. Fantastic work Robin. I look forward to checking back every now and again. Really a terrific start. I hope I can contribute.... - lee
  13. If the author could simply have Ms Smith identify herself in a photo or her position - it would be helpful. Her account sounds similar to McKinnon, and as per your plat Don - the woman standing with McKinnon remains unidentified. The children could have been the Newmans. - lee
  14. Hi Jim, There is quite a bit in the Tippit thread of interest. For example, there was the woman who was allegedly front-ended as Tippit backed up his car. She remained there for a moment - expecting the worst [i fought the law and the law won]. Tippit isn't interested in her and she pulls off - it was a minor incident with probably no damage. Let's say that this is true - why is Tippit backing up here? There is the part in which a Squad car was allegedly seen in the drive that connected Tenth to a back alley which still runs behind the properties in front - coupled with what Bud Culligan said about the operation having the use of 2 squad cars [plus the bizarre account of Oswald's landlady and the bit about two cars having been sold in the Warren Report]. Then you have the problem of more than one suspect - depending upon whose account you place more credibility in - I am personally inclined to ignore much of what Helen Markham had to offer. Did Tippit return an elementary schoolbook on Spanish to his niece [i think it was?] that morning? Is it possible that he caught wind of something during his moonlighting job at the Austin Barbecue? What was he looking for in the front seat of Andrew's car? Who was it that was fighting when Tippit allegedly made a stop only a short while earlier [ref?]. Why does the description of the windbreaker found in the parking lot at the Temple fit the same description of the man an elderly lady described as belonging to the man she saw bang out the door of the TSBD and run in the direction of the railroad tracks - which would dovetail nicely with a number of other witness reports and sightings? What was Igor Vaganov doing in Oak Cliff and why shove his clothing into that phone booth? Who was it that ran into the Temple and whatever became of that situation? Where was the 'estate' physically located that Harry Olsen guarded that day? How come so many reports of alleged safe houses in Oak Cliff? What about the connection between a Banker named Stuart Martin of Oak Cliff and the Olds seen by Bowers in the back parking area? Where did his mistress live? Is it true that he was leaving his wife that morning, as has also been alleged of Oswald? Lot's of questions - however, not sure that it was all by carefully crafted design. Tippit could have caught wind of a plot - wrote it off, then heard the reports and acted on some knowledge he had - and then just ended up at the wrong place at the wrong time. Or, what seems more plausible - Oswald didn't follow the original plan somehow, and Plan B went into effect - or a makeshift plan was resorted to instead. After all - Oswald apparently didn't respond to the squad car that was never there to visit Earline Roberts. - lee
  15. Hi Thomas. I don't know the whole sequence of events for Mr. Lovelady - however his nephew indicated to me that he was indeed 'detained' at some point - whether or not this was 11/22 or afterwards is unclear. I may go back to my old emails and see what I can find. Will take some digging.... Thirty minutes later...found one. Hang on. Two...... I know I have more - must have missed it somehow - ref for self - 245. Will have another go another day... - lee
  16. Maximovich reads like Phillips. Just like to ask some questions... - lee
  17. Hey Bill - how do we get the rest of the list - any idea? Is it searchable? There's a few folks I would love to see as confirmed. BTW - facinating post - I would like to have a look at that. I really enjoyed the film Enigma. Are you familiar at all with the account of FRANTA - aka Paul Thummel? Large debt owed to that man - amazing how some of his intel was ignored - largely due to arrogance. Also the information about the boardgame Monopoly which I believe only surfaced lately - classic stuff of genius. - lee
  18. I have recently come into information which leads me to believe that the man McDonald interviewed [and subsequently published as the subject in his book, Appointment in Dallas in 1975], is still alive. I have no way of knowing how to establish contact with him. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to communicate with this person - if anyone has any leads - feel free to pass along. If some back channel is able to redirect the request being made in this post - that would be welcomed also - since I recognize that some interesting folks monitor this site. The 'Shining Hero' reference provided by this individual to McDonald, as overheard by him while shadowing Oswald in Mexico City, was confirmed by Judyth Baker as her personal nickname for Oswald in her recently published book. Just like to talk...no strings. - lee lforman23@comcast.net
  19. Was trying to find a copy of a letter I received from Mr. Lynch in response to my queries about Rip Robertson, Tony Izquierdo and others - can't seem to turn it up. It went something like this: And I did not - contact him again that is... - lee
  20. https://www.cia.gov/library/center-for-the-...s/oss/index.htm Will we see any new data relative to David Ferrie and his cronies I wonder.
  21. Hi Mike. I wasted a lot of time chasing after holes in the windshield myself - went round in a few circles - if you'd like, I can send you the high res scan I did of a Nov 63 crop print taken from the Altgens. Here's a nice view of it - plus I think I have another one up elsewhere on the forum. http://educationforum.ipbhost.com/index.ph...st&p=144615 Sort of a dynamic and learning excercise I went through - but my primary goal was to refute the supposed evidence of a hole -put forth in MIDP I think - which suggested a South Knoll shot, and a 'spiral shaped' crack/hole allegedly seen in Altgens and evidence of a hole in the z-footage. I believe that much of the conjecture for a south knoll shooter relies upon information provided by Tosh Plumlee. If one examines a higher quality version of the photo - it is clear that there is no such 'spiral shaped' anything. In all honesty, after reading, reviewing, etc., my view at the moment would lean towards agreement with Tom Purvis - that the hole/crack in the windshield was the result of a fragment which was part of the rear graze shot to the top of Kennedy's head. There is also the blood on the inside of the windshield to consider [see Robin Unger's stuff on that - here someplace on the forum], the possibility of the rearview mirror suffering damage, and of course the dent in the chrome. Aside: MANY of the Altgens photos I obtained had signs of I guess what I will have to call 'retouching.' That is not to suggest alteration - but highlighting and 'fixing' a photo prior to publication in a newspaper. I can provide one for example if you'd care to see it. However, that having been said, I have never been satisfied that the original photo was genuine - there are problems with it which still remain unresolved in my opinion. Al Carrier suggested that shooting a target through a windshield is possible - I agree - it's possible, but that doesn't mean that is what happened - he also posted evidence of the possibility, showing a windsheild with golf-ball sized holes in it. Didn't seem to do much to support his case in my opinion. Anyway - have a look at the Altgens in the link - if you'd like a copy, let me know. I wasted quite a bit of money collecting Altgens stuff in as original and as early sources as possible. - lee
  22. http://www.earthfiles.com/news.php?ID=1454...ory=Environment Found this exchange interesting...
  23. Thanks to a good friend for passing along... I thought we had a thread devoted to Majestic 12, but couldn't turn it up? For anyone not already aware - LANCER was the SS code name for Kennedy. The document sure looks authentic based upon all the heavily redacted crap I have waded through - and is accurate with respect to what I previously posted - if the November 12th directive from Kennedy to disclose and work with the Soviets is authentic. What's most curious about all of this are current events....[eg ]. And of course there is the Mitchell Edgar stuff, and the other things happening...an exciting time to be sure.Part 1 http://www.earthfiles.com/news.php?ID=1452...ory=Environment Part 2 http://www.earthfiles.com/news.php?ID=1453...ory=Environment Part 3 http://www.earthfiles.com/news.php?ID=1454...ory=Environment http://www.ufoevidence.org/documents/doc1865.htm - lee
  24. Thanks very much John. Great stuff. Are you in touch in any way with Sirhan today? - lee
