  1. Pure specualtion of course, but the kid to Oswalds right (with helmet) looks like a young William Seymour...
  2. The weapon in the above frame has always looked like to me, the under side of a shotgun. Can never be sure though as the picture/frame isnt clear, but what I see is the "pump"/"forearm" of a shotgun. Just my opinion..
  3. I AM YOUR FLAG I was born June 14, 1777 I am more than just cloth shaped into a design. I am the refuge of the world's oppressed people. I am the silent sentinel of Freedom. I am the emblem of the greatest sovereign nation on earth. I am the inspiration for which American patriots gave their lives and fortunes. I have led your sons into battle from Valley Forge to the caves of Afghanistan. I stood triumphant yet humbled over the ruins and fallen heroes of the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the Fields of Rural Somerset County. I walk in silence with each of your Honored dead to their final resting-place beneath silent white crosses, row upon row. I have flown through peace and war, strife and prosperity, and amidst it all I have been respected. My red stripes symbolize the blood spilled in defense of this glorious Nation. My white stripes signify the burning tears shed by Americans who lost their sons... My blue field is indicative of God's heaven, under which I fly. My stars, clustered together, unify 50 states as one, for God and Country. "Old Glory" is my nickname, and proudly I wave on high. Honor me, respect me, and defend me with your lives and fortunes. Never let my enemies tear me down from my lofty position, lest I never return. Keep alight the fires of patriotism: strive earnestly for the spirit of democracy. Worship Eternal God, and keep His Commandments: and I shall remain the bulwark of peace and freedom for all mankind. I AM YOUR FLAG. - Written by Marine Master Sergeant Percy Webb for a flag booklet distributed in 1933. (Revised by Greg McAtee--2/1/02) HAPPY 4TH of July everyone....
  4. Ron this is all I could find on him with his time at Benning.. Recently declassified CIA documents show that the spy agency trained Posada in Guatemala in 1961 to participate in the failed Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba, including explosives and weapons training. Posada, who rose to the rank of second lieutenant, was in the U.S. Army from March 1963 to March 1964 in Fort Benning, Ga.
  5. James, whats the deal man lol???? Ive never seen these photo's lol...
  6. Im another who believes that is Rip Robertson...just way to close to have any doubt in my mind..
  7. Lee, In gas-operated actions, a small amount of gas is bled off into an auxiliary chamber, where it pushes a piston that creates a force to unlock and open the action. The action is closed and locked by a recoil spring that is compressed during the rearward action. Gas-operating systems can use a long-stroke piston or a short-stroke piston. The long-stroke design siphons off gas under somewhat low pressure via a port near the muzzle. The operating rod is fastened to the piston stem and extends all the way back to the receiver where it engages the breechblock or bolt. The short-stroke design takes its charge of high-pressure gas by means of a port only inches forward of the chamber. ..The operating rod is not attached to the piston stem, rather, it is mounted just behind it. The piston is driven violently to the rear where it hits the forward end of the operating rod. This blow drives the operating rod to the rear causing the same process of unlocking, extracting, ejecting, cocking, reloading, and locking as occurs in the long-stroke design. The fireball is a bolt gun, meaning one has to operate the bolt to load another round, it does not rely on gas pressure to operate.. The M1 Garand uses what is called a operating rod , AK-47's is called a gas piston and the FAL's is the same, all work on the same principal... I dont think one could tell by just seeing the smoke as to what weapons were used, if I recall witness said they had seen smoke in the tree's? please correct me if im wrong. As for not knowing of having a over oiled gun, there are two sides to that coin, these things happen, especially to rifles that are not used alot, shot every once in a while, cleaned, then placed away until next time.. Also, IMHO a shot from the knoll position, one would not use a scope for this location, your FOV is to small at such a short distance on a moving target from this location, if it were me, I would use open sights for this shot.... Hope this helps. Ryan
  8. Lee, Sorry I didnt see this earlier when I was on, been pretty busy.. As for the smoke, imho it came from a oiled rifle barrel, this is done after ones cleans a barrel to keep it from pitting etc. ive seen it hundreds of times, think of a car that is burning oil....Ive actually done this (by mistake) with a M1 Garand, fired two close shots almost in a rapid fire and it looked as if I was shooting black powder...pretty neat at first, until the guy next to me gave me a look of disgust lol.. Hope this helps.. Ryan
  9. Ive always thought Mexico city Oswald was under 6ft and stocky, not approx 6'6" or 6'7" over 250 pounds...
  10. Quick search under the name CISNEROS ROGELIO and this popped up.. 266)In a Miami press interview on July23, 1962,Manuel RayRivero announced the formation of the Cuban RevolutionaryJunta(JURE), an anti-Castro Cuban exile group designed tounite all thepopular splintered factions outside Cuba into an effectiveworkingorganizations.(1) Other key leaders involved in the new organizationincluded Felipe Pazos, RaulChibas, Rogelio Cisneros, Ramon Bar-quin and Justo Carrillo. (,,?) Although Ray felt the Cuban Revolu-tionary Council was no longer effective, heattempted to receive finan-cial assistance from it until JURE gainedmornentum.(3)(267) As its opening promotional salvo, JURE issued a "Declara-tion of Principles." It called forfree elections, the restoration of hu-man rights and social justice, new economic development programsand agrarian reform, breakingrelations with the Soviet bloc, restora-tion of legitimate property, proscription ofthe Communist Party andrelease of political prisoners. (4).(268) Rays group was considered an"autonomous" anti-CastroCuban group by the CIA. (5) The concept of autonomousoperationswas conceived byWalter Rostow, State Department counsel. (6) Ros-tow proposed a "tracktwo" approach to Cuban operations to parallelregular CIA-controlled Cuban teams.('f) This approach would enablefinancial aid, advice and guidance toCuban leaders such as Ray.(8)Autonomous operations were approvedJune1963 .(9)(269)The rule under which the operationsfunctioned set forth thefollowing guidelines1. Operations to be executed exclusively by Cuban nationals dedi-cated to the idea that theoverthrow of the Castro/Communist re-gime must be accomplished by Cubans inside and outside Cubaworkingin concert.2.If the effort to overthrow theCuban regime became too costlyin human lives, the United States would withdraw financial sup-port and would not consider resumption at any future date.3.All operations had to be mounted outside the territory of theUnited States.4. If ever charged with complicity. the U.S . Government wouldpublicly deny any participation in the groups activities.5. U.S. presence and direct participation would bekept at anabsolute minimum. An experienced liaison officer would be assignedto each groupto providegeneral advice, funds andmaterial support.6. No fixed time. schedule would be given to these operations.(10)(270) Possibly because of this loosely structured control over JURE,the clay-to-day activities of thegroup were closely monitored. A JT-REmember, for instance, was in frequent contact with anindividualand supplied him with a variety of confidential information aboutJURE. This source provided informationon Ray's meeting withAttorney General Robert F. Kennedy in September 1963,(11) Ray's................... nother episode on May 1964 compounded JURE's problems.Rogelio Cisneros lead obligated $50,000 of JURE money to an ElMonte, Calif., arms manufacturing company for weapons to beshipped to Florida. (514 The Revenue Division of the Treasury De-partnient considered a raid on the arms company.(55)(:383) At this point, there began a general disintegration of JUREmembership. (56) Rogelio Cisneros announced in August 1964 that hewas resigning from the organization. He contended Ray was incapableof directing both political and military activities.(57) Then anotherkey leader, Carlos Zarraga, resigned in September.(284) JURE received $75,000 during the period of October to De-cember 31, 1964. The money was intended to underwrite JURE's relo-cation of its activities outside the United States. (58) Ray's liaisonofficer noted at the time : "If Ray is successful in Cuba, he will notneed our help ; if he is not, our help won't do much good. He is honestand at least lie assumes it will be largely spent for thepurpose he wantsto achieve. Whatever May may ever say, he was treated the way heasked to be treated. We have played the game in a manner beyondreproach." (59)(2S5) JUREcontinued in existence until August 1968 (60) but wasrelatively ineffective in its latter years.(61)Submitted byGAETONJ.FONZI,Investigator.ELIZABETHJ.PALMER,Pl esearehe r. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Page 4 80REFERENCES(1) CIA cable, July 25, 1962.(2) CIA report, September 1962.(3) CIA dispatch, July 11, 1962.(4) Junta Revolucionaria Cabana, Declaration of Principles.(5) CIA memo.(6) Ibid.(7) Ibid.(8) Ibid .(9) Ibid.(10) Ibid.(11) CIA cable, Sept. 11, 1963.(12) CIA cable, Oct. 11, 1963.(13) CIA dispatch, Oct. 21, 1963.(14)CIA cable, Jan. 31, 1964.(15) CIA cable, Mar. 17, 1964.(16) CIA cable, Apr. 26.19G4.(17) CIA dispatch, July 22, 1963.(18) CIA cable, Aug. 15, 1962.(19) FBI file No. 97-4546, sec. 1-correlation summary,May 30, 1963, HouseSelect Committee on Assassinations, p.4 (JFK Document 005990) .(20) Ibid., item 2, p. 4.(21) U.S. Army Intelligence Report, item 9, FBI file No. 105-114543-5, JURE,No. 2215 217, Sept. 24, 1962, Subject : "JUREestablished--classified SECRET,"House Select Committee on Assassinations(JFK Document 009974) .(22) Ibid.(23) FBI file No. 10.5-114543, vol. 1. serial 46, p. 12, House SelectCommittee onAssassinations (JFK Document 009974) .(24) CIA memo, Aug. 2, 1963.(25) Ibid.(26) CIA memo, Aug. 23.1963.(27) CIA cable, Dec. 3, 1963.(28) Ibid.(291 CIA cable, Sept. 11, 1963.(30) CIA cable, Nov. 18, 1963.( .41) CIA dispatch, Dec. 13,1963.(32) Ibid.13.4) CIA cable, Dec. 3.1963.(34) Ibid.(3.5) CIA memo, Dec. 13, 1963.(36) J. 11. Exactly right Ron, The guy is a bafoon who probably worked about 30 minutes into looking into the case and then did a book, and believe me the PD is very happy he no longer is around..I was going to watch it, then decided not to, as its the same old crap, like lastnight on the discovery channel which was good until seeing Posner, made me cough up some dinner, starting to look like Michael Jackson...
  12. Im suprised he hasnt caught a major flu well if this does happen, prepare for Castro to pull his beard out while ranting and screaming how we harbor terrorists...I wonder if Daddy Bush has anything to do with him trying to get his U.S. citizenship lol...
  13. Wanted to give this a bump back to the top to remind everyone it will be on tomorrow......
  14. John, Does Ayers say anything specific about what info Anderson didnt use??
  15. I have talked with Craig a number of times, and agree with everything he says, but still cant disregard the south knoll as a location...
  16. I agree with everything Pat just stated, also we must remember, the MC is no where near the rifle a M1 Garand is.... also if Oswlad was praticing with this rifle, where are his cleaning supplies, extra ammo, patches, bore brushes, cleaning rods, solvents etc???? Has any of this stuff ever been found??? even a novice shooter has this stuff.....This is a "high stress" shooting, yet Oswald is found nice and calm...Reminds me of the movie the Alamo, where Jim Bowie tells David Crockett "those arent bears out there Davie".....
  17. Im still wondering why not ONE bit of cleaning equipment (rods) (solvents) (cleaning patches)etc. nor extra ammo were found in Oswalds possessions....
  18. One thing I was wondering was if the Baron was wearing shoes, looks like he was in his socks, where he would probably need his big toe to pull the trigger, due to barrel length....does anyone know if his sock was looked at for gun powder residue etc??? Also a 20 gauge shotgun at such a short distance would still have taken his head else where....Ive seen worse head wounds from a 410 shotgun with bird shot than what I see in this picture...
  19. There is the old smell test that you hear alot of talk about, ive always had a problem with this due to after firing a weapon, I can put it away for a few days, open the chamber and presto, its smells the same, leaving the bolt open can clear things out. Ways I have found out that works to see if a gun has been fired recently is by running a patch through it, when a rifle sits for a period of time the residue turns more grey over time (couple days) where is right after the weapon is fired the residue is a deep black and easily removed, hence always clean your rifle after shooting, makes it alot easier. Its also a little more difficult to run a patch through a barrel after it has been sitting without cleaning, due to the residue taking the caked on effect, where is a rifle that has just been fired, the residue, even if it hasnt been recently cleaned prior to, the residue will loosen up due to heat etc. Also at the crown of the barrel, if a rifle has been recently fired you can take your finger and just touch it, this will produce residue on your finger easily, where is if it sits for a period of time, it tends to cake on and you need your finger nail to scrape it off. Reminds me of the gas port on a AK-47, when needs cleaning, there is a sharp metal tool to scrape out the port..Gun residue aka powder etc, once its left to sit can be a pain in the arse to remove. I know of no other ways to find this out, I will ask around and see what some friends say. Other then the rifle being "warm" these are the only answers I have at this time, so for that I apologize. What I ALWAYS find interesting is no cleaning equip, rods, patches, solvents, brushes, nothing for Oswalds guns were ever found, along with no extra ammo etc. Hope this helps, if not I apologize....Will let you folks know if there are any updates on ways to find out.
  20. Hi Tom, at this link there is a photo of him in 1960, hope this helps.. My Webpage
  21. Mark David Chapman sufferd dilusional paranoid schizophrenia, yet when he recounts what happend when he killed Lennon, his story matches with everyone elses...
  22. Lee, Sorry for the mistake, it was Weitzman who said it was Barker when shown a picture... Seymour Weitzman, Deputy Constable, Dallas County saw 2 of the north knoll sniping team behind the fence: Firstly Seymour scaled the wall near the electric box where the "Railroad worker" (who Weitzman refferd to as "yard man" took apart the sniping rifle used by the north knoll sniper...the "yard man" made an evasive statemnet to Weitzman that "he thought he saw somebody throw something through a bush"..when asked for further clarification by his Warren commission questioner "Did the yard man tell you where the noise came from?" Weitzman responded.. Yes sir, he pointed out the wall section where there was a bunch of shrubbery and I believe thats to the right where I went over the wall where the steampipe was; that would be going north back toward the jail. "Weitzman apparently let the "yard man" walk off with the sniping rifle in the tool box.... Secondly, Weitzman also saw one of the North knoll sniping team who identified himself as secrete service to Weitzman...Weitzman later identified the secrete service man on t.v as Bernardo "Macho" Barker, one of the watergate burglars...
  23. Attractive LOL, Tim you need to get out more and get away from the computer and t.v LOL..
