Ron DeSantis and his fellow phony Republicans like to complain about immigration policy...

Unless of course it means Cubans illegally coming to Florida, home to the right-wing Cuban exile community.

I do not agree with everything TC said therein...but it is true: Ashley Babbit, an unarmed woman threatening no one, was perched in a window on Jan. 6 and shot dead from a distance.

If this is a justifiable police murder...then, what isn't?

Also, five Capitol Police officers did not give their lives on Jan. 6, as indicated in the most recent hagiographies of the Capitol Police department and repeated yesterday.  This is conflating post-Jan. 6 deaths, including suicides, with the day of the event.

The closest thing to a police officer dying on Jan. 6 was Brian Sicknick, who died a couple days later of a stroke. The DC coroner concluded no connection between the stroke and Jan. 6.

Sicknick was never struck on the head, as widely reported.

It is hard to remember now, but the early M$M coverage was that the Capitol Police were a bunch of white racists, who let their fellow white racists sack the Capitol, but would have mowed down black protestors.

Now the Capitol Police are lionized. Which version do you believe?

The truth is neither here nor there...the 3,500-member Capitol Police inexplicably barely showed up on Jan. 6 (their Commander of Civil Disturbances unit was at home making meat loaf) and then stood down. Numerous texts from arrested occupiers that day say they were "let in."

Indeed the Capitol Police, as correctly pointed out by Matt Allison, arrested almost no one that day. They let the rioters leave! Even from the enclosed Capitol, with limited exits!

The homeless gadfly Mr Buffalo Horns was arrested in Arizona, after turning himself in the local FBI office.

The subsequent post-Jan. 6 arrests were largely effected by using compliant telecom and social media services as intel ops, and tracking smartphones and texts.

Another story not told in the M$M.

The Jan. 6 event, like the JFKA and the 9/11 event...well, the stories about the events are weaponized for political advantage or expediency. By all sides.

The Jan. 6 rioters were no heroes. A very high fraction of the rioters appear mentally troubled.

Another large fraction had Hispanic surnames, and may have been federal assets, or extremists.

The federal government declines to reveal how many assets they had in the Jan. 6 scrum, and only in court revealed the heavy infiltration they had of the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys.

You think you know the full Jan. 6 story? I don't.

It's offensive to me that anyone would even try to portray Babbit's killing as the most tragic and unjust thing during the January 6th. 2021 huge number, raging, murder threatening mob attack on our Capital building with our entire Congress inside.

Capital police officer"s" died as the result of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome effects from the nightmare event they were forced to endure with thousands of these murder rage minded nut cases rushing them with shouts of "kill em" etc.

If this mob of thousands were anyone but Trump nut supporters, Trump would have had armed to the teeth troops at the Capital building within minutes of it's starting with orders to shoot to kill whomever they wanted.

Then, Trump would be bragging he was the great hero protector of our Congress and Capital police.

It's incredible that the Capital police held back shooting way more than just one time.

Not only were they fearing and defending against shouted life and death threat violent attacks on our Congresspersons inside our sacred Democracy building ( including the Vice President himself) they themselves were being viciously attacked and beaten severely by this raging threatening mob.

In most similar great bodily harm threat incidents police will do whatever it takes to protect themselves including discharging their firearms. And legally authorized and justified to do so.

They "remarkably" held off doing so in this nightmare violent attack.

Ms. Babbit was killed. And ALL the blame for her death resides with her fellow rioting mobsters.

Yes holdouts after the 14th failed ballot Biggs and Gaetz were phoned by Trump to switch their ballot and then complied to bring Mac Carthy's total to 218 so now they are voting a 15th ballot to give Mac Carthy the minimum after giving away the store, including a potential poison pill by which one member could bring his speaker ship up to vote. What a pack of career driven whores!
