  1. We were both right- sort of- it was UMass Dartmouth. (But I have a memory of it being called something else in the 80's)
  2. Jim: Phil Melanson was not at UMass . I forget the name of the University, but it was in the southern part of MA. We were good friends in the 80's and wrote snail mail to each other for years. The day it because the official site for the RFK records I attended the press conference. Marion MA maybe? Been too long. I could rummage through files and find some of his letters, some were on the U. letterhead. Dawn
  3. Very rare for me to agree with Len, but I find this sickening. I am good friends with a teacher and one of her students lost a cousin in that killing. I have watched all the videos about this and while there are some very questionable issues, I do not believe the parents or other victims are crises actors. Or that no one died. Plus Obama did not take away anyone's guns. It's been nearly four years. Shame on these alleged researchers.
  4. Also, waiting for Ken... Tom Me too. Seems like he has left the building.
  5. He's such a dishonest reporter. Can't stomach him.
  6. Great overview Jim. I would love to see more posts like this. Someday- after I am retired- I will read Harvey and Lee again and take notes. It is simply way too much to digest and remember from one reading. I am in fact taking a break in general from reading books on this case, or in this instance re-reading. I really think John has SOLVED the Tippit murder. Before this stuff got posted he called me and told me about all of his new research but I was getting lost in the details. Since the days before the 50th anniversary he has really gone full throttle into this case. Dawn
  7. I hope you will post further excerpts. Perhaps there were multiple reasons the CIA had to take Nixon out of office. I agree that he did not authorize the June 17 break in but he certainly advanced the cover up.
  8. We email from time to time. I miss him here too.
  9. Correct. Back when JIm D's posts were all taken down and he was booted off this forum by John Simkin I believe, RCD announced that he was leaving. I for one very much miss his posts even though I don't spend much time on JFK forums these days. (The subject has been debated to death for me). Dawn
  10. Wow, I had the same reaction as Jim. Lance clearly knows nothing about the Kennedys. Yet is reading Walt's enormous chronology. Does not compute. And I have found that leftists are not conspiracy believers.
  11. I happen to believe this testimony. You may know that Joan Mellen interviewed Billy sol several times and did not find him credible in the least. (Or so she told me back in the day before she began calling my dear friend Nathan Darby a xxxx. Agg. Perjury at that. ) I doubt we will ever speak again. I knew Nathan very well, he was in fact a neighbor but I did not know him til I met Jay Harrison. He was as honest a man as I have ever known. There is a lot very fishy about Wallace's alleged death in 1971 too. Doug Do you know anything about the tapes BSE said he had to prove his claims?
  12. Terry is fine now. Working full time, buying a home for her daughter and grandson, in Georgia. She is still in Culver, CA. I spoke with her about three weeks ago. She no longer posts on the forum. She is also less active on facebook as she just does not have the time. She has no plan to retire, loves her work. I will let her know people are asking about her. Dawn
  13. That's a huge error to make. I have been meaning to get his book as I have long been interested in this murder, but I am waiting to hear from others-and reviews- by people who have studied that 12/8/72 conspiracy. I hope the book is not filled with similar confusion. Sherman Skolnick did the best in depth study of this case. Dawn
  14. Totally agree Jim. Am about 150 pages into it. But my book has one serious issue, wondering if it's just a fluke in the printing, but there are no numbers on any of the pages to correspond with the many footnotes at the back. It's frustrating. But aside from that the book is beautifully written and difficult to put down. Dulles was clearly a sociopath. His treatment of his wife, kids, siblings is revolting. Even at age ten, watching his brother nearly drown as if he was watching birds flying. Chilling. Dawn
  15. As someone who does not believe there was a conspiracy to kill JFK, I don't place much stock in the ramblings of Jim Garrison. None, actually. Oh great, one more lone nutter on this forum. Soon they will be the majority.
  16. Exactly. Jim could depose her. Now wouldn't that be fun. So she will never sue anyone over anything regarding this case. Last I heard she is not in the best of shape anyway.
  17. Joe, you beat me to it. It's clearly used in a derogatory manner, but I guess certain people are permitted such mockery on this site. Dawn
  18. Really, I cannot believe how many off topic responses are here. It was a great review Jim. I plan to read it again, and I have the book, it's my next book to read. Reading Don Jeffries' now. I wish his chapter on John John was longer. After I re-read this comprehensive review I will comment further. Some of the things you mentioned I already knew, but the DeGaulle stuff was very telling. I think most leaders knew it was a conspiracy pretty quickly. Dawn
  19. Zero. For the same reason the press is ignoring Talbot's book. Operation Mockingbird has never been more alive and well.
  20. Wow Jim, looking forward to your review. Your reviews are so comprehensive that you almost do not have to read the book. My copy was here yesterday when I got home from court, along with Don Jeffries'. Lots to read.
  21. As long as people continue to reply to him he will continue with his "evidence". It makes me wonder just why he is sooo very active on a JFK assassination forum. I know plenty of lawyers- and non lawyers- who are lone nutters but they never go on forums such as these.
  22. Wow, if this was true, and Tower may well have been in a position to know, this is huge. Dawn
  23. Jim, As you know after the ouster of Richard Sprague, the fix was in. Blakey insured a WC re-run.
  24. WOW, it's even worse than I thought. The guitar was nice, however. I guess that was just the trailer.
  25. The MOVIE???? OMG. First "the book", now the movie? I guess there are no more topics to explore on this case so one has to start inventing them. This ranks up there with Ralph Cinque's "doorway man" obsession. Say goodnight Gracie. Dawn
