It’s jaw-dropping that people on this forum believe absolutely preposterous nonsense such as the CIA murdering Dorothy Hunt (and dozens of innocent people for no reason…).
Nobody is disputing that, so your comment is of no value here. As I pointed out previously, Posner is only making the distinction to show how claims of the ENTIRE limo interior being cleaned are false.
Did he say it was "OK" to "destroy evidence" ? No... he said that only a portion of the limousine's interior was cleaned, as opposed to the entire car.
It only "worked" because there was no need to alter or fake anything. The Dealey Plaza photo record is a self-authenticating whole. No doppelgangers required!
Mr. Caddy, I haven't rushed to judgment on anything, but I certainly do not take seriously your claim that aliens had something to do with not only the Kennedy assassination but Nixon's removal from office ...
What I object to is your use of the word "certain" as it pertains to Oswald being involved in "Otto Skorzeny's strategy to assassinate Kennedy in Dallas." I am entirely unconvinced there is any legitimate evidence to support such a claim.
The answer is that we simply don't know, and we will never know. I don't find it all that out of the ordinary that Oswald may have transported the rifle both assembled and disassembled at different times.
Because he was despondent and irrational and had already pondered or actually committed violence to further his political beliefs? Unfortunately, motives are frequently silly.
Just because YOU expect something to happen doesn't mean that expectation is any way based in reality. And naturally, you append your evidence-free speculation with yet another claim that all the evidence is fake. Does it ever end?
Clearly, if Oswald was the assassin, the crime was one of opportunity - that JFK was driving right below the window where he worked. So the anecdote mentioned above in no way negates the notion of Oswald being guilty.
