  1. This thread isn't so much about anything Bugliosi said, but moreso about what his interviewees might have said on the other end of a recorded telephone call. We would like to know what they said.
  2. I doubt though Liebeler would have made that comment on air unless he had something to back it up with. The questioner could easily have decided to probe him further on the issue and ask him exactly what she had to gain by making up the story. Of course in such a situation Liebeler could have said he cant say on air why he thinks she might have made up the story, as he would be potentially opening himself up to litigation from Sylvia Odio for defamation on air about her making up stories etc.
  3. I think he must have recorded the calls too. Some of the quotes he includes in his book of interviewees are way too long to have been taken by notes. Some of those phone interviews are critical in my opinion, especially as Bugliosi was a very probing individual given his lawyer background and experience in cross-examining people. They would be a treasure trove if they could be located.
  4. Bugliosi's notes reference alot of phonecalls he made to various witnesses as part of his research. Do you know if those phonecalls were recorded and are available somewhere to listen to? Or if Bugliosi took notes on the phonecalls and these notes are available to be read somewhere?
  5. Thanks. I didn't realize there were two PDFs on the disk. Just put in the disk again and sure enough there it is 😃
  6. Does anyone know why Vincent Bugliosi's book "Reclaiming History" appears to have no footnotes? Take for example page 1457. On that page you have the following sentence: "And as indicated, when Oswald was arrested he only had $13.87 on his person, (76)..." Bugliosi gives a number, 76, but this number appears to go nowhere. There are no footnotes at the back of the book. There is of course a disk that comes with the book which is a PDF of about 1000 pages of notes. This PDF references some of the pages of the book but for the above example, which is page 1457, there is no listing of any of the footnotes on this page. Check out page 938 of the PDF to see that there is no listing of any footnotes for page 1457 and many other pages. So in other words Bugliosi gives us a reference number, 76, that leads nowhere. Am i missing something, does anyone know where Bugliosi's footnote numbers lead to?
  7. During a Nov 7th 1966 radio show, Wesley Liebeler, who interviewed Sylvia Odio for her WC testimony, suggested Sylvia Odio had something to gain by perhaps manufacturing the whole Odio story: Liebeler - I think she has her own problems and her own motivations for this story. Questioner - You think she has something to gain by telling this story? Liebeler - Yes, I do. See 8 minutes in on the below video for the relevant audio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdbra3A4Byo&t=1s I can’t see what Sylvia Odio had to gain by manufacturing the Odio story. Sylvia Odio was a member of JURE and the visitors to her apartment presented themselves as JURE members too. By telling this story, Sylvia Odio was potentially linking JURE to the JFK assassination. This would appear to be bad for JURE. In the same way the FPCC were inadvertently linked to the JFKA story through Oswald, and ended up having to close down in Dec 1963 due to the bad publicity, Sylvia Odios potentially connecting JURE to the JFKA could have potentially ended JURE as an entity as had happened to the FPCC. So I don’t see what she had to gain my manufacturing the Odio story as Liebeler suggested. Can you think of what Liebler might have been getting at? Had Odio anything to gain by making up the story?
  8. At 1 minute 50 Morley says "sources" in referring to his source. Sounds like his source could possibly be more than one person. The CIA had lots to hide during the hsca, namely their sources and methods in Mexico city, which were not necessarily related to the JFK assassination. This document could simply be praising the CIA officers involved in the hsca investigation for their successful efforts in blocking the hsca from finding out about sources and methods in Mexico city that had nothing to do with the JFK assassination.
  9. Is it possible Trump, while president, sent a representative down to CIA with the goal of finding out about the JFK assassination and that this representative is the "authorized visitor"?
  10. He was also not present before the JFKA. He left around 12 noon. And presumably told his work colleagues he was leaving. In this sense Givens was not missing. Much like Frankie Kaiser was not missing. They knew where they were, but not Oswald. "Missing" and "not present" can mean two different things. It could be said that after the assassination, all the warehouse men were accounted for except Oswald.
  11. Congrats on the new book Fred. Looking forward to listening to some of your interviews covering it.
  12. According to 10 minutes and 20 seconds in on the below video, Gaudet did not use the tourist card he got. This is the tourist card he got on the same day as Oswald at the Mexican tourist office. I had not heard this before. Is it true Gaudet did not end up using this tourist card at all?
  13. In studying the Church Committee reports with respect to the JFK assassination, i have realized that Church Committee published items consisted of the following: Report Book 1 Report Book 2 Report Book 3 Report Book 4 Report Book 5 (This is the book relating to the JFK assassination) Report Book 6 Hearings Book 1 Hearings Book 2 Hearings Book 3 Hearings Book 4 Hearings Book 5 Hearings Book 6 Hearings Book 7 However i then came across what is called a "staff report". Does anyone know what these "staff reports" are? I have never heard them being mentioned as being part of the final published reports and hearings by the Church Committee.
  14. I guess Hill could not put his feet on the seat as JFK was sprawled out on the seat so Hill had to contort his legs.
  15. Apparently there were several assassination attempts on Obama. Here's just one of them: https://www.politico.com/story/2011/11/man-charged-with-attempted-assassination-of-obama-068622 Makes me wonder if this new commission will only deal with the JFKA in a peripheral manner.
  16. Good. We can finally get an investigation into the CAA (Connally Assassination Attempt) that has long been neglected. 😀
  17. 1964: Warren Report 1979: HSCA Report 1998: ARRB Report 2025: Presidential Commission on Assassination Attempts
  18. It sounds like a new ARRB. Though technically the JFKA was not an assassination attempt, but an actual assassination.
  19. For me the presidential election is just a spectator sport as I won't be voting.
  20. What will he release, the JFK records collection? We need all the files at Langley from the 1960s, not just the JFK records collection. Though they will probably cite national security as to why all CIA files from the 1960s should not be released.
  21. Oswald had difficulty buying a washing machine for Marina. From this it always looked to me like LHO was strapped for cash, at least in the fall of 1963. Did he get money before this we don't know about? Did GDM give him money? I don't know. But in the critical timeframe of the JFK assassination, it does not appear he had any extra noticeable cash.
  22. With RFK jr endorsing Trump in return for a job in the White House, it would appear that if Trump wins in Nov there is a realistic chance there could be some serious movement in relation to the release of JFK files. For example, we might get a deeper insight into the Joannides/LHO connection in New Orleans in the summer of 1963. The MFF lawsuit could now become irrelevant.
