I am glad to hear Susan is doing fine after her surgery. You ask me about the airport in Key West and Jack Ruby. I can’t remember the name of the manager off hand, but I first heard the story from Chubby Weiner of Starlight Cruisers out on Marathon. He knew the pilot who was going to fly Jack and others to Cuba. That was in the early summer of 1963. The pilot was Bill Pearson and he had a room at the old Jack Tarrs ( now the Salty Dog I think) across from the airport at Marathon. Hank Mitchell, I think was his name, had a small fleet of airplanes based there and Bill was one of his part time pilots. It was local knowledge that Pearson was CIA and had worked with the Cubans a few years ago in Miami. He used to fly the Texaco PBY Catalina down here from Miami into Cuba but that was to help Castro before he came into power. Before 1959. I remember when they painted the seaplane plane black. Bill also flew the black P-51 that was such a hit down here around that time. He used to fly it upside down over hiway 1 and Marathon then land. They were a routtie bunch of young men and never paid their bills, but the bills always got paid by someone else, somehow. I am not sure what happen to the Jack Ruby matter, but there were a lot of investigators from Congress down here a few months ago. And they asked a lot of questions about that story and other things about Plum Key and the raid that Puto was in. I can’t recall their names on when the last time they were here. The FBI did talk to Chubby and he was a little shook up about that. He did tell them, or he told me he told them he saw Oswelld in the summer of 1963 at the Key West airport but he did not or could not identifie Ruby with him. After that things got real quite around here and people just left? I’m sorry I can’t be of more help Smithy, but I never thought much about the story. He is a true hero, as is Oliver Stone. Garrison lost the case against Shaw because of sabotage. The media went after him with a vengence and, as usual, the adoring public bought it, just like today. Same story, different decade. To better understand the Garrsion case read "Destiny Betrayed" by Jim DiEugenio. Then read Let Justice Be Done" by Bill Davy. Then for "balance"- (disinformation)- read Patricia Lampert's False Witness, but only do so if you read the clarifying article "False Witness: Aptly Titled", by Jim DiEugenio and Bill Davy in PROBE magazine (Vol. 6 No4 May-June 1999). And of course read Jim's own words, On The Trail of the Assassins". His interview in Playboy, in 67, is probably online, or at a liab, where I obtained it in 1973. (From liab. at Harvard, where the only books on this subject were the Warren commsission's 26 books of "interest". The liab cards indicated other books critical to the WC but none were to be found in the stacks. Wonder if that has changed?). Wim: More important than the map is the fingerprint copies that were found other than Ruby's. These fingerprint copies have been compared to the box 26 FBI copies that were sent to the FBI by Dallas P.D shortly after the assassination. The FBI copies of the fingerprints are different than the ones found in the basement. The FBI copies are different and appears to have been tampered with AFTER they were in the FBI's Lab. (1964) (I posted on this forum a few weeks ago about this Dallas PD and the new found prints but nobody picked up on it) The pictures (PHOTO COPIES) of the prints found in the raid is a NON broken chain of evidence FROM THE FIRST OF 1964. Guess who the 38 point comparison prints fit?. First two guesses don't count. It has taken a year to get those prints to this level and documented; palm, little finger, and index. For years copies of these prints were lost deep in the basement of the Dallas P.D. in an old misplaced file cabinet.., until they were stolden while the file cabinet was being moved because of a broken water pipe a few years ago. It is my understanding that this information, or comments, will not be released by the Dallas P.D. until some in high Texas politics and others involved have died and then I also understand all hell will breake loose and the history books will have to be rewritten.... Carl's brilliant book-Yankee Cowboy war Conspiricies from Dallas to Watergate- (76) is hard to get these days (we are working on a way to try to get it republished? Any ideas anyone????) Sherman Skolnick first detailed the evidence of this plane's sabatoge and I believe you can find it online. I figured it out just by reading the paper!!! (post 12/8/72) Then I discovered Skolnick's work in early 73, then I met Carl in spring 73 and have been very close pals ever since. Carl broke a lot of stories in Yankee Cowboy, including the Gahlen org. His book is must reading, and Tim Carroll is the logical person to update this massive work. (IMHO) Dawn

The alleged changes in posture is what happens when a camera is moving around as it pans or slightly moves one way up or down. Look at the sun spots on the fence just to our right of the Hudson tree in the same Nix film - they change shape and move, too. The same thing happens on the shelter wall, as well. (see the Needham clip attached) When you can see all the way to the shelter wall and still see the wall - there are no shades of gray to be confused about. I mean ... one has no problem seeing the top of the tree against the Dallas sky or where the fence stops and starts, so the same would apply to someone standing there in Moorman's photo. The Hat Man's hat can be seen against the Dallas sky and it isn't there in photos taken after the fact. {This means if something is not seen after the shooting, then it wasn't a fixed item in the plaza and has moved away after the shooting) The same would apply to the 'classic gunman' in the sense that he would be seen against the Dallas sky in Moorman's photo. That brings me to this next point ... the shift from the Nix location to Moorman's would push the alleged 'classic gunman' to the left and away from the wall. Your red 'x' went the wrong direction. I marked the correct space with a red box in my Moorman cropping. The Badge Man has a dark backdrop of tree foliage behind his figure and it makes him hard to see. What supports the Badge Man being real and not part of the foliage is that when the image around him is lightened and contrasted, then his image doesn't wash out with the foliage, but separates from the tree foliage instead. No matter how much you do the same with the area next to the shelter wall in Moorman's photo ... you will not see anyone standing there. Tim - I think you have misread ITEK's report. They were saying that if the alleged 'classic gunman' was near the car behind the shelter, then he would have to be 9' tall to have seen the motorcade. Because they knew that wasn't probable - they then addressed the alleged figure being at the shelter wall. That's when they concluded that it was sun spots on the wall. BTW - The photo taken of you on the steps was not on the Nix LOS. You are too far to the right of the red vertical line that ran through the center of the alleged 'classic gunman'. The 'alleged 'classic gunman' as seen in the Nix film was further west of the door opening. It looks like a good photo of you on the shelter steps, but it hasn't any value outside of that. I wish I could have been there when you were because I am sure I could have walked you through this stuff and had you understand it better while right there on location. I offer an example of your position difference to the 'CGM' below ... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ____________________________ Bill: Before you suggest that someone has misread any report by Itek I suggest you do some research as to who and what Itek is. CBS would have us believe they are simply an "independent film analysis" group in Lexington , Ma. But they are very tied to intelligence. Most telling was his declaration to WCs Ford and Warren that "consequestly a whole new form of government is going to take over our country and I know I won't live to see you another time". He was speaking then about LBJ ducking his responsibilities, not searching for the truth of the assassination that he: "Relinquished his- (LBJ'S)- certain powers to certain individuals." But perhaps there is some other legal action a family member of Oswald could bring. I have been trying to come up with one since law school (early 80's) and learning about the concept of "standing". We have seen what our elected officials have done with this case, advancing some leads, but cutting short a true investigation. If anyone on this forum doubts that just read Fonzi's The Last Investigation. The AARB achieved success in the release of thousands of documents, but, much is still classified. Tragic that Webb's career as a journalist was ruined by his ground-breaking and courageous reporting while Oliver North - who was involved in Contra drug-running - should find a second career as a "journalist" on Fox. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> __________________________________________- Oh, just one more "suicide"...and the beat goes on....
